My name is Rebecca Rusk.
I will be guiding you in this meditation of self-love.
Self-love is not simply a state of feeling good.
True self-love is to recognize and welcome every little piece of our puzzle that makes us whole.
These pieces include imperfections and flaws.
It's loving the ashamed,
The anxious and afraid parts.
It's arriving at a place where we can accept who we are completely.
I know it can hurt when we acknowledge the parts that we don't like.
We would rather bury these pieces,
Hide them away with shame.
Kindred souls,
This doesn't make us whole.
You've been carrying the weight of your wounds for so long and now it's time to send them love.
Find a comfortable space,
Either sitting up or lying down.
Hands by your side,
Palms facing upwards.
Close your eyes.
Prepare your body to receive loving energy.
Take a deep breath in.
On the exhale,
Release the pain that surrounds your heavy heart.
And repeat the words,
I am worthy.
I am enough.
It's okay.
I love you.
I know you're playing past moments in your mind,
Thinking about how you could have done things differently.
But being human is messy and no one is perfect.
From our wounds we will grow and our mistakes are lessons.
It's okay.
Let go of that weight that is holding you back.
Now breathe in and on the exhale,
Repeat the words,
I am worthy.
I am enough.
It's okay.
I love you.
Now imagine loving energy surrounding your body.
You may feel the warm or cool sensations.
Notice these feelings and keep breathing slowly.
In through your nose and breathing slowly.
Out through your mouth.
Let love flow.
You have so much love to give.
I can feel it.
But right now you need to focus on giving yourself that love.
By turning inwards and allowing your love to wrap you tight,
There's room for softening.
What a beautiful gift that your love comes naturally.
By loving ourselves we are also giving permission for others to love us too.
Self love is one of the most attracting qualities.
Now breathe in and on the exhale,
Repeat the words,
I am worthy.
I am enough.
It's okay.
I love you.
Now when you wake from this meditation,
I want you to be kind to yourself.
Slow down and be mindful of your daily routine.
Take things with care.
This is your time.
There's no need to rush.
Growth requires rest.
Protect your time,
Energy and body.
Now take a deep breath in and on the exhale,
Repeat the words,
I am worthy.
I am enough.
It's okay.
I love you.
Kindred souls,
Your love is forever.
Your life is sacred and you are enough.
Now when you feel ready,
Open your eyes to the room.
Today is a new day.
