Meditation begins with a deep relaxation technique and then on clarity of mind

Hey everybody,
It's Peekout here in Singapore and I am here a little late,
Unfortunately I'm sorry.
The time difference for you affected me because what was 13 hours ahead is now 12 hours ahead.
So I am here to go ahead and start your guided meditation.
Today I want to focus on a little bit more calm,
A little bit more clarity so you can focus on what really needs to get done and kind of cut out all that extra noise.
So if you're ready we'll go ahead and get started.
So as always I want you to find a comfortable position,
Either laying down on your back or seated.
Make sure you have enough space to move a little bit,
Especially your arms if you're seated and we'll go ahead and get started.
Start with three deep breaths.
When you're ready I want you to take a deep breath in,
Hold it and let it out through your mouth.
Once more take a deep breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.
Last time take a deep breath in and let it out through your mouth.
I want you to send that breath all the way to your toes and let's start focusing from there.
So what I want you to do right now is go ahead and stretch your toes out as far as they will go and then slowly turn them into a curl,
Tighten them up,
You probably hear your toes crack like mine did,
Tighten them up and release.
Next I want you to work your ankles a little bit.
I want you to point your feet almost like a ballet point and then slowly point them the opposite direction so you stretch your back,
Your calf muscles,
Stretch the arch of your foot and relax.
Working your way up I want you to work on your thigh muscles,
So your quads and your hamstrings.
Tighten up the muscle,
You probably feel your lower leg lift a little bit,
Tighten them up,
Tighten and relax.
Keep breathing,
Working your way up.
Take a deep breath in through your mouth and I want you to fill up your stomach.
Hold it,
Hold it and let it gush out.
One more deep breath,
You're going to fill your chest up this time,
So deep breath in through your nose,
Fill up your chest,
Hold it tight and let it gush out.
Now with your seated or laying we're going to work on your shoulders.
A lot of us sit over in front of a computer so we hunch a lot.
What I want you to do right now is lift your shoulders up to your ears and tighten up your neck and your shoulders a little bit and let them drop,
Relax.
I want you to stretch out your arms and all the way down to your fingers,
Stretch your fingers,
Splay them out,
Slowly turn them into a fist and as you turn that into a fist slowly curl your arm up almost like you're lifting weights,
You're going to feel your bicep tighten up a little bit,
Tighten,
Tighten and relax.
Next we're going to work on our neck a little bit.
I know a lot of us end up looking down because we're on our phones a lot but today we're going to stretch it out a little bit,
Okay?
So start off with your head centered and I want you to turn your head to the right all the way so you're looking over your right shoulder.
If you're laying down see if you can get your head to bring your ear closer to the floor and hold it and return to center and now to the left all the way over your left shoulder.
And return to center.
Now I want you to drop your chin to your chest right down the middle centered and you're going to draw circles with your chin,
Ready?
So first of all to your right all the way up is like a quarter of a circle and back down toward the center.
Drop circle all the way to the left and back to center.
Now roll your head back straight up and just hold it there for a moment.
Feel your front of your neck,
Your throat area stretch out nice.
Your back,
Your neck is a little tightened up and slowly return to center.
We're going to stretch your face a little bit so take a deep breath and I want you to blow out your cheeks.
Feel your face stretch out a little bit and as you exhale and relieve all of that air inside your cheeks I want you to turn it into a really nice big smile.
Open your mouth wide and feel your jaw stretch,
Your cheeks stretch again just around your lips all that should stretch again.
And then I want you to scrunch up your face.
Stretch it up tight,
Tighter and relax.
So I want you to quietly with your mind go over all your body and see how you feel.
Make sure that if you feel any tension anywhere along your body if you can tighten it up,
Hold it for a moment and relieve.
This way you're making sure that your whole body is relaxed and if your body is relaxed we can start working on your mind.
So today like I said I want to talk to you about calm and clarity.
March has been rough,
It's been a lot going on for most of us,
Lots of energy.
We have three moon energies this month.
We have a new moon coming up on the 17th so there's a lot going on,
There's a lot of movement.
Everything is in Aries right now and it's all about do,
Do,
Do.
So I understand it's been very hectic for most of us.
So what I want you to do is focus on whatever is most prominent in your mind at the moment when you think about what your life has been like this month.
It may be a work situation,
It may be a home situation,
Whatever it is I want you to think about it right now.
I want you to examine all the elements of that particular situation.
Chances are it's upsetting you some way but chances are you can't control most of that situation.
That's why I want you to think about the situation real quick.
So we're going to focus.
So as you think about this hurdle I want you to understand that you have control of what you do and what you say and that's it.
The only thing you can control is your part in that whole situation.
I want you to notice how your body feels as you think about the situation.
It's very likely that the situation upsets you and when you hold in that pain,
That discomfort,
It tends to manifest in your body.
I need you to understand that you can take care of only part of it.
The rest you have to let go.
As hard as it is to say that you can be part of the problem,
You need to understand it and acknowledge it in order to fix the situation.
By having a part in that problem what I mean is you could stay there or you can leave.
You could choose to ignore certain elements or you can continue to focus on only those elements.
It is within your power to change the way you think about these things.
You cannot carry the whole situation on your shoulders.
It's not meant to be that way.
You don't have to like where you are,
But the moment you acknowledge that you don't like where you are,
It becomes your responsibility to do something about it.
You cannot force how others act,
React,
Behave,
Speak.
You can only control your part in that situation.
You feel discomfort for a reason.
You feel pain for a reason.
Something about that situation does not resonate with you,
Hence the discomfort.
We were built to chase what makes us happy.
We were built to shy away from the things that hurt us,
Make us feel uncomfortable,
Make us feel small.
Understand that you are an energy being.
Like attracts like and if you focus on the bad,
You attract more bad.
So clearly see what that situation is.
Find a way to understand where your part is in that situation and only focus on what you can do.
Your hands may be tied for part of it,
I understand,
But there is a choice within those parameters where you can start to disengage a little bit.
For your peace of mind,
If you see this situation clearly,
It will not feel so burdensome.
When you understand that you are only responsible for yourself,
Your actions,
It becomes a little lighter.
You can put down some of that baggage.
I want you to bring your thoughts back to your body and as you lay there comfortable,
I want you to feel how the universe supports you.
Feel how your body is happy and content when it is quiet,
When there are no outside stimuluses.
Your natural state is to be happy.
What you allow into your energy field then tends to change how you feel,
What you think.
So it is in your best interest to be a really strong filter on what comes close to you and what does not.
Take a deep breath and release.
Release all that tension,
Release all the things you cannot control.
Release.
Take a deep breath.
Feel it fill your heart and once again release.
Everything that is not within your control,
Release.
Slowly start to wake back up.
I want you to go through your stretch routine,
Whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Stretch and slowly wake your body back up.
If you need to curl up into a ball go ahead.
Stretch and slowly wake back up and smile.
You got this.
