Moving Past The Doubt That Hits You Before Taking Action
by Raj Gorsia
I ran this live session because it's the session that I needed to hear the most throughout my life. There is a gap between who we want to be and the action we need to take to allow for it to occur. That gap is the time spent in our heads! It's where I lived for most of my life, I never got to the action part because of the doubt that stopped me. So this session is me sharing some of my experiences of how these doubts were moved past. Message me privately if it hit you in a deep way. Love you, raj

I'm Raj Garcia,
As you know,
As you see my name.
And what I'm here to do,
Not just here with you right now,
But what I'm here to do in general is to show people how to get out of their heads and how to really live.
Get out of our heads.
Not live in here,
Live in life,
Live in the world.
And I do that not just because it's fun and not just for a living.
I do it for a living,
By the way,
It's my job.
But I also do it because it's the challenge that I faced throughout my entire life.
I was living in my head.
I was kind of half living in the world.
You know,
Like anytime things came up or had something coming up,
I'd be in this anxious race in my head,
Worried,
Oh,
Well,
What's going to happen?
Trying to control everything,
Trying to control everything.
So I went on this path of how do I get out of my head?
I don't want to be in my head anymore.
It hurts.
I'm anxious.
I'm in fight or flight.
I was in fight or flight for my whole life,
And I didn't really realize that.
I just thought this is normal.
This is my life.
I'm a person who's different,
Who lives in fight or flight.
No one asked us,
But I do for some reason.
So I did this whole story going on and all this tension.
Then I went on this journey,
And I could probably talk about the journey for hours,
But I won't go into that too much.
It's just the journey of understanding my body,
The nervous system,
Understanding how to slow myself down by using my body,
Slow my mind down.
I got into spirituality,
Yoga about eight years ago,
Meditation,
Breath work.
I started experimenting with things,
You know,
Just trying things out.
Long story short,
Oh,
I went on some travels for two years.
I left everything behind.
Yeah,
Should mention that part.
But yeah,
Long story short,
I went on a journey to really understand how do I and how do humans in general actually,
Actually,
Not just in theory,
Actually become calm inside and peaceful.
And that's been my life's work.
And now I do it and I help people individually.
I'll work with people one to one.
I'll do sessions like this.
I'll create articles,
Content online on YouTube,
And just that's what I do,
Basically.
So that's introducing me if you've never been to one of my sessions.
And the next thing I'll say is feel free to ask anything at any point.
If I say something and you're just a question comes up,
Put it in the chat anytime or just make a comment at any time,
Whatever,
You know.
I see this as a open space,
A shared space where hopefully everyone agrees to just be with each other.
You know,
There's no judgment here,
Not for me,
Not from anyone.
So I'm just going to say some things.
I'm going to teach about the topic for today,
How to overcome self-doubt and take action.
That's the topic for today.
And like I said,
Interactions in the chat,
I'd love to see it because it means I'm just talking and there's engagement,
It's more fun.
And yeah,
You can ask me anything as we go along as well.
Cool.
How does that sound?
I hope that sounds good.
And welcome Melbourne.
Welcome.
Okay,
Great.
Someone's already playing in the chat interactions.
So I'm just going to read that out and I'll try and read out everything that comes in the chat or whatever I feel called to,
Whatever is relevant to the topic,
I'll call it out.
So someone has said,
Finding it so hard to quieten my mind,
Be still and take action when fear is powerful,
Despite knowing the tools.
Yes.
Great.
Thank you for that.
I'll definitely speak on that.
So action,
There's an action that probably everyone wants to take of some sort,
Right?
Something that we want to do.
And then there's that doubtful voice which creeps in and stops us.
And I'd love to hear your experiences with this.
I'll tell you some stories of how it's showed up for me.
But yeah,
Tell me some experiences.
Tell me what the action is that you want to take.
Put it in the chat.
What is the action that you'd love to take?
Is it you want to start a new job?
Is it you want to become closer to someone in your life?
And by the way,
All these things I'm going to,
I'm using as examples of things I've experienced.
So wanting to become closer to family members,
Wanting to be able to express myself and open up as a huge one for me.
Actions like going to travel on my own.
I dreamed of doing it.
I was too scared.
Start my own business.
Wanted to do that.
Self-doubt creeped in for years.
So I just didn't do anything.
And it still comes up.
You know,
If I want to do something new,
I will still hear that voice.
I guess the difference now is I don't want it to just block me off from my life,
From what I want.
So feel free to share some actions that you'd like to take,
Some changes or whatever you want in your life.
Put it in the chat and tell me,
Tell us how does self-doubt creep in and how does it stop you?
This is the chance to just release it from your head at least,
Right?
That was a big thing for me.
I had a massive thing about shame,
About I don't want to speak about this.
If I speak about it,
People might judge me or they might pressure me to take this action.
I don't want anyone to be involved in this.
I kept it all quiet and hid everything away.
All my challenges,
All my dreams,
Hid it all away.
So if just the one thing you get from this is you get to put,
Get something out of your head and put it into the chat and feel an ounce of peace or opportunity in doing that,
Then do it.
That's my invitation.
And the other thing I want to say is I don't really class myself as a teacher.
I more class myself as someone who's helping people open the door of transformation.
So that's why I ask questions and I'll say this to you.
Yeah,
Go on,
Share in the chat.
I want you to be able to express yourself.
I want change to occur in people rather than,
Hey,
I'm Ra,
I'm going to teach you five things that will give you this.
I've done that before,
But with an intention of,
Yeah,
Let's make this real,
Not just a theory.
Let's actually make this happen.
Cause I read books for years and learned things and that doesn't,
Information didn't do anything for me.
Transformation is when things actually happen,
Right?
So everyone that shared in the chat,
Awesome.
And even if you haven't shared in the chat,
No judgment,
Just know inside yourself,
What is the action that you want to take and where there's some doubt creeping in.
Cause this is a universal thing.
I thought it was just me that felt this,
But the more I speak to people,
It doesn't matter who they are,
What success,
What life they have.
There's always something that's holding someone back.
I've spoken to hundreds of people about this.
So just have that in mind.
And during this session,
I'll guide you through meditations.
I'll ask you questions.
I might throw in an exercise here or there,
All for the purpose.
So by the time you leave this call,
You have an opening,
Maybe an insight,
A little opening,
An action to take.
Something's changed as you've walked out this door,
Basically.
That's what I'm here for.
Cool.
So hope everyone's getting as excited as I am.
Maybe you can hear it in my voice.
I get excited when I,
When I can create opportunity for,
For things to happen.
Right.
Like I said,
It was the hardest thing for me.
Anyway,
I'm going to go to the chat and read some of your lovely comments of what you want to take as actions.
So the action for me is changing location,
Life and leaving comfort and staying stagnant as well as staying in alignment with my true power and gratitude.
Okay.
What I'm going to do,
I live off intuition basically.
So what I'm going to do right now is I'm actually just going to help you guys directly in the chat.
I'm just going to say some things again.
It's not coming from judgment.
It's not coming from,
I know better than anyone.
It's an invitation.
So I'm just going to comment on everyone's comments and see if the things I say can help you move forward.
I hope that's okay.
This is basically how I work with someone,
Right?
Directly.
So the action for me is changing location,
Life and leaving comfort and staying stagnant as well as staying in alignment with my true power.
Hmm.
Awesome.
I feel a lot of,
Um,
There's something inspiring you when you say changing location,
Life and leaving comfort.
Hmm.
What's stopping you?
What's stopping you?
That's my direct prompt to you.
What's stopping you?
Because I feel I get this sense that there's a little excitement because you type that out.
You're the first one to type it out as well.
You're the first one.
I have everyone here.
I don't know if I'm right or wrong.
I'm just going off what I'm sensing.
You wrote that,
You threw it straight in here.
What's stopping you?
Because there's a good energy there.
That's what I'm going to go for.
That's my gut feel comment.
And let me know in the chat what comes up for you.
Okay.
The next comment,
Um,
I retired from 30 plus years of corporate life and I want to reignite the artist in me that I set aside decades ago,
Perhaps sell my art.
Ooh.
Okay.
So you've had a 30 plus year corporate experience.
Well done by the way.
That's a,
That's a good stint.
That's a good stint.
And now you're in this zone of,
Ooh,
This is artist in me.
I want to,
You set this aside decades ago,
Probably because of the corporate life.
Right.
And there's this wanting to sell art or just create the art,
Right?
That's the sense I'm getting.
You want to create the art.
So what's stopping you there?
What's the doubt?
Is it a doubt in your abilities?
Is it doubt in your abilities or is it a doubt about getting and actually doing it and getting and doing the painting?
What is it?
Okay.
You said comparison to others.
Huh?
Yeah,
I get you.
That's a big one.
Can anyone else relate to that?
I had that a lot.
I had that a lot.
Can anyone else relate to comparison to others?
Yeah.
I had that a lot with what I'm doing now with,
Um,
Everything actually.
I've had it with every,
Every part of my life.
Um,
But here's,
Here's what I learned and I want to share this with you.
Your art is so unique.
I don't even need to see your art.
Your art is so unique when you're in the flow,
When you're in your flow.
It's like this example I use sometimes.
I say,
Imagine you're on the dance floor and you see someone doing some cool dance moves.
Then this judgment comes up.
Ah,
I'm not as good as that.
So then you try and replicate their dance moves,
Right?
You're like,
Oh,
Let me try and dance like that.
What happens?
It's awkward,
Right?
It's like,
It doesn't really work.
There's no way we can replicate someone's dance moves.
There's,
There's,
There's no way we have our unique way.
They have their unique way.
Even if you can replicate it,
It doesn't feel right.
Doesn't feel like you're in your flow.
It doesn't feel exciting.
So what I'm going to say to you is comparison to others.
It doesn't mean anything.
It only means something if you're using your art as a direct comparison saying,
Oh,
If my art is like that,
It can never be like someone else's and their art can never be like yours.
Like my voice.
I used to try and put on a different voice to try and sound better or speak better.
And it just didn't feel nice.
I was never comfortable using my voice because I was so insecure about it.
And then once I dropped that,
I started enjoying speaking.
You know,
It doesn't really matter how I sound.
I don't really care how I sound as long as this energy is moving.
So I want to leave it as that.
Let me know if you got anything from that.
Because the fear of not being good enough,
You know,
The fear of not being good enough that everyone faces.
The only way to overcome it is to be your fullest expression.
There's nothing else that you can do.
There's no overcoming it.
There's no need to overcome it.
There's no need to overcome it.
Instead there's a different path altogether.
And that path is you fully shining as you.
Doing your thing.
So I'm going to leave it as that.
Hopefully someone got something from that.
And yeah,
I'm glad my honesty helps.
Like I said before,
I had a lot of shame around being myself in the past and sharing my challenges.
Now the more vulnerable and open I am,
The more free I am.
A lot of this stuff I was facing was shame,
Was hiding and not being okay with being me.
Now it's like I just spread all of my stories and truths out there.
So I got nothing to hide now.
There's no mask.
If you wear a mask,
Forever you're worried that,
Oh,
What if they see the real me?
The key is,
Hey,
This is the real me.
This is just it.
Whatever this is.
So let me know if that helped.
And here's the thing I'd say to look out for,
For everyone who's here.
Look out for that feeling that you feel inside.
Not just from when I speak,
Maybe when you see something in the comments.
The insight feeling,
The hope,
The space that gets created inside you.
That space is where transformation can happen.
Even if you're thinking,
Oh,
Well,
What do I do,
Raj?
First look out for the being.
How can you be first?
And then the doing will be easier.
That's my experience,
By the way.
Anyway,
I'm going to go back to the comments.
Glad that helped.
I'm seeing some hearts.
Someone said,
I was divinely inspired to leave a good paying job and start my own business.
Seven years later,
I'm still working on figuring out what that means.
Ah,
Awesome.
So you're divinely,
I got something else in the comments there as well.
So let me just come to that.
So you also said,
Yeah,
Imposter syndrome,
Self-destruction,
Financial stuff.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's it.
That's a big one as well.
Because once,
Especially if you've started your own business and you've got family to take care of,
Financials,
Punishing yourself for failing also,
You said.
Yeah.
Thanks for being so vulnerable and sharing,
For just laying it out on the table.
I get this sense from you.
And again,
I don't,
I'm not saying I'm right or wrong.
I'm not an assumption maker.
I'm just going off what I sense,
Right.
From the words,
From just knowing a little bit.
I get this sense from you that you're in a place where,
Yeah,
There's this judgment,
There's this pressure.
Also,
For some reason,
I don't know why,
I get this sense that you're okay.
You're okay.
You know what's going on.
You know what's going on.
You are okay.
Even if you don't think you're okay,
You are okay.
Anyone here,
Even if we don't think we're okay,
We are okay.
In this moment right now,
Yes,
There's all these things going on.
In this moment right now,
You are okay.
You're okay.
You're holding this and looking at the screen.
You're okay.
This moment right now,
Let's forget about what's next.
Let's forget about what has happened in the last seven years.
I know that can feel like this heavy weight,
Because it's been failure in your words,
Right.
This is more pressure.
Right now,
You're okay.
We have to start from that place.
You have to come to that place to know that right now I'm okay.
Then feel the lightness of that.
Then go and create this success.
Whatever the success is,
You have a business,
You have pressure,
You have financial things.
I feel you.
There's a lot of things mixed in there,
You know,
Especially because it's the passion that you wanted to start.
I get you,
You know.
I started a passion for myself.
So I'd invite you to look at what has to happen.
What has to happen next?
If you can cut the cord on the last seven years,
Cut it.
You have to cut this.
What has to happen next if you are starting fresh,
Brand new?
Someone messaged me the other day,
Just to go off topic in this relevant.
Someone messaged me the other day.
Let me see if I can see it.
It was crazy.
Someone messaged me saying,
I came to your session in April last year,
Raj.
And yeah,
I came to your session last year,
April,
Raj.
And we were talking,
You had one of your live sessions talking about taking action,
Moving forward from the present,
Creating your future from the present.
And I wanted to share with you that all the things that we created in that session managed to come true.
I renovated my home.
I'm hosting these retreats.
I'm much calmer now.
I saw that message.
I was like,
Whoa.
This is what is possible if you start fresh.
Last year,
I came to one of my sessions,
Started having actions happen.
Everything's changed now.
So how do you guys feel when I just read that out to you?
I know I felt like,
Whoa,
This is so cool.
This person's life's changed.
So that's to you with your business that you think is a failure.
It's time.
It's time for you to take all those failures or perceived failures as learnings.
Awesome.
You got seven years worth of learnings now.
Wow.
You got seven years worth of learnings that you can take and you can start going into things fearlessly now.
This is the time to go into things fearlessly.
Fearlessly yet calm and start creating whatever you want.
Because I'm sure there's something inside of you that knows what's going to take you forward.
Something inside of you knows.
But the doubt stops it,
Right?
No,
I can't do that.
No,
That would never work.
So that's for you.
And I hope you message me and maybe message me next week saying,
Yeah,
Something's moved forward.
Anyone here.
I love when I get messages,
Random messages like this,
Right?
Tell me how things are going.
Because guaranteed,
If you really slow down and start taking actions,
These things are possible.
Cool.
So I wanted to share that with you guys.
It's a real story,
Right?
Crazy.
I get things like this all the time as well.
And it's not like,
I'm not like taking this on as,
Oh,
Raj,
You're amazing.
Well done,
Raj.
I'm just absolutely,
Because I didn't do anything,
Right?
I just showed up,
Created the opportunity,
Told you guys what's possible,
And then you go and do it.
So it's awesome to hear stories like this.
Anyway,
Tell me what's coming up for you after I said all of that about your seven year challenges.
Tell me what you're taking from that and what is going to happen next if you want,
Or you can message me privately.
And also,
Yeah,
You can message me privately and tell me about this stuff that's going on and I'll help you more directly.
To anyone here,
Actually.
Message me privately,
Tell me what your challenges are,
What you want to move forward with,
And I'll give you a direction.
I'll tell you,
I'll ask you a question maybe,
Or I'll just help you find a way,
Basically.
Send you a resource.
I'll send you a voice note maybe sometimes.
Depends what's going on.
So it's my invitation.
Cool.
So let me go to the next person.
Hope this is useful,
Guys.
This is what I would do if I was coaching a person one-to-one.
So I hope you're finding this useful.
I need to take action on stopping hoarding and let go of the things I don't love.
Don't need,
Don't want.
Ooh,
Okay,
Interesting.
What's the emotional attachment to the things?
Because why else do you want to keep them?
What do you want them for?
What do you want them for?
What does it give you to keep them?
And what does it take away when you think about,
Oh,
I've got to throw this all away?
Because if it was just things,
If it was like,
Hey,
You've got some newspapers in your house that you,
Or like blank pieces of paper taking up space,
You would get rid of it.
So there's obviously an emotional thing to it.
Okay,
Past memories and reminders of previous years.
Ah,
Okay.
Why do you want to hold on to that?
Why do you want to hold on to the previous years?
What does that give you?
What does that give you that you don't have?
Hmm.
Yeah.
Okay.
So I'd say,
Is there a way that you can keep the memories intact without having the stuff?
Without having the stuff.
That's one thing that comes up.
Photos?
I don't know.
Something like that.
Depends what we're talking about.
So I'm going to leave it there and just say,
Yeah,
Whatever attachment there is.
I'm going to say something that might seem extreme,
Right?
You're not going to be able to take those things with you when your life ends.
All you have is your experience right now of life.
Because they don't mean anything.
We're made to be fluid.
We're our best when we are not attached to things.
That's what our mind does.
Our mind is trying to cling on to everything.
Memories of the past,
Worries.
We're clinging on.
That's what creates all of these challenges,
These doubts.
We're clinging on to the thought.
We're convinced.
We're most free when we are not attached to things.
Because it's our nature.
Our bodies are going to die,
Right?
Our nature is for us to pass.
Our cells are literally changing.
Our cells are literally dying.
We're not even attached at a biological level.
We eat some food,
It'll come out at the end of the day or tomorrow,
Right?
We can't be attached.
It doesn't work.
We're not made to do that.
So that's what I'd say is if you want to let go of this stuff and it's causing you a challenge to hold on to it inside you,
Then it's probably a sign.
That's a quick thing without knowing about your context,
Without knowing the story.
So take it as you hear it,
Rather than taking it as Raj is just saying,
I'll just get rid of this stuff.
The earlier years.
Yeah,
That's what it is,
Is missing the earlier years.
It's kind of like looking back at photos and wishing that you were in the past.
Then that's a sign of,
Hey,
My present moment sucks.
It's like I'm making a statement by doing that.
I used to do this.
I used to look back at my photos and say,
Oh,
Those were such good times.
I was so young.
Oh,
I'm getting old.
And then all this story dialogue will start running in the present.
And then it will project onto the future.
So I made a rule.
I said,
I'm never going to look at a photo as I wish that I could be there.
Why?
I'm declaring that my life is not fun right now then.
It's also declaring that there's not going to be better times ahead.
That's the way I'm seeing it anyway.
I'm not saying that on anyone else.
That's what I was seeing.
I was like,
Yeah,
That was a great time.
That was awesome.
I've got much more of those coming.
Nice.
Can't wait.
So now I look at photos in the past as a tool for the present to help me move forward.
I look at the past as a tool for the present to help me move forward.
Maybe that's a suggestion.
I don't know.
Maybe you look at this stuff as,
Oh,
This was amazing.
These were good times.
What's next for me?
What's going on right now?
What's happening in my life right now?
That's what comes up when I see that.
Let me know if that was helpful.
Okay.
I'm going to move on to what else have we got?
These are awesome shares,
Guys.
These are awesome shares.
And keep telling me in the chat if what I'm saying is useful or not,
Right?
Okay.
Next one is.
.
.
Action of letting go of an attachment that triggers controlling behavior because of fear.
Wanting to stay in the love I feel for them if I can,
Though,
If it can be healthy.
Okay.
So I'm going to read that out again.
Action of letting go.
That's the action.
You want to let go of an attachment triggers this behavior.
Okay.
Wanting to stay in love I feel for them if I can,
Though.
This feels like a conflict.
Just the way you've written that.
Yeah,
There's a conflict.
I feel it.
And I know what you mean.
I've been in that conflict.
I've been in that conflict.
And just seeing those words,
I'm like,
I could sense there's a conflict just from the words.
You know,
Relationships are tough because it brings up all this stuff inside of us.
The psyche,
The psyche that longs to feel complete,
The psyche that longs for a companion that can support.
And here's how I'm looking at it now.
In the past,
I was looking at partners or people in general for to kind of like give me something that I thought I didn't have myself.
So for example,
A partner that can make me feel alive or that can push me to be more spontaneous and do crazy things.
I loved that.
Brought out the life in me.
So then if you get that from a partner and you're enjoying it,
Then if there's a threat that the partner might go,
It's like,
Now I build an association.
I can only have this feeling of aliveness or love if that person's here.
You know?
That's what's going on in relationships,
In the mind.
It's this feeling that,
Hey,
I need something from this.
And if I lose this,
I lose something in myself.
That's what's going on.
So I just ask you straight up,
What do you want to have happen?
Do you want to let this go?
Do you really want to let this go?
Does it feel like the right thing?
And if it's like,
Hey,
I want to let this go,
But I'm scared that I'll lose something,
So I'll stay in the relationship even if I'm not happy.
That's like a psychological attachment to something you think you don't have yourself.
And I'm saying all of this not as judgment,
Not as pointing.
I'm saying it all because I've said it to myself.
I've seen it.
I've seen myself be this.
I've seen myself and I've seen it with clients I've worked with.
So I'm not saying it's easy,
But that's what's coming up for me.
Let me know if that helped.
And again,
Like I'm saying,
I haven't spoken to you guys personally.
I haven't delved into the detail of what's going on.
I'm just basing off what you've told me so far.
So if I'm getting the wrong end of the stick,
Yeah,
Just tell me anyone.
But I'm trying to do my best to just give what I can based on what you've said.
So let me know.
Was that helpful to you or anyone?
If I'm speaking about one person's thing,
I'm speaking to everyone at the same time because we can probably all relate,
Right?
I'm sure.
Okay.
Awesome.
I hope that was useful.
Yeah.
If you need to go,
No worries.
Drop me a message.
Tell me what's happened.
Give me an update.
Anyone here after the session,
I'd love to hear how things have changed.
What action,
See if you've taken the action.
Sometimes my clients say,
Yeah,
I'm going to do this and I'm going to message you straight after because that's going to keep me accountable.
Otherwise it's so easy for us to say we want to do something.
We want to do something.
I wish I could do this,
But then there's no one holding us to it.
So we won't even do it.
We're not even holding ourself to it.
In the moment it feels nice.
Oh yeah,
Let me do this.
And then when it comes to it,
We,
It's so easy for us to just let ourself off the hook.
I've done it loads of times.
So if anyone wants to make sure they get this done or just tell me how this went,
Maybe you're ready to do this.
Your action,
Whatever action you're scared of,
Whatever action you've been holding off,
Go and explore it and then message me and tell me how it went.
Just like this guy who did it.
The other,
A few months ago,
Someone said,
I'm going to start writing a book.
I said,
Great.
Tell me how your first week of writing went.
Write every day for a week.
He said it in an insight timer session.
Then he messaged me,
Messaged me after the week saying,
This is how I went Raj.
This is what I'm challenged by.
Do you have any advice of what I can do when I procrastinate?
I just told him what to do and then he continued.
He's writing his book.
The thing he wanted to do for years.
It can be so simple,
You know?
Cool.
Let me see what else there is.
Anyone else have anything they want to throw in there?
Because I think that's all I've got.
Let me just see.
Oh,
Okay.
Here's one more.
Where's it gone?
Struggling to make the decision of relocating,
Even though I've done it numerous times before.
Older I become,
The more I start to overthink,
Which leads to procrastination.
Yes,
I get you.
You sound like me.
I get you.
It happens.
It goes through.
We have an idea,
Right?
And then it goes through the whole system of our thinking.
And there's a chance that our thinking can stop it and halt it and say,
Hey,
No,
No,
Don't do that.
It's not safe.
Or no,
No,
No,
Don't do that.
Wait.
Wait a little bit more until it feels right.
You know,
The mind gives us this illusion.
It says,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
Wait until it feels right.
And you say,
Ah,
Yeah,
Okay,
Yeah.
It's so clever.
It will throw us these little nuggets and say,
No,
No,
No,
Just wait.
Just wait a little bit longer.
No,
No,
No,
It's okay.
And I've done this so many times.
Every time I want to go and,
Well,
In the past it was worse.
When I wanted to go on a trip somewhere or I wanted to just travel or whatever,
I'd wait and wait and wait and wait.
And then I'd build all this pressure on myself saying,
You said you'd do this.
These months have passed.
Or you said you'd start your business,
Raj.
Oh,
A year has passed.
It's just,
What are we waiting for?
Once we actually do the thing,
The thing doesn't actually take up that much time or energy.
You know,
The decision to make it,
It doesn't make,
Take too much time or energy.
It's all the thinking before,
The buildup,
The pressure,
Weeks of thinking about it,
Weeks of being in your head,
Years,
Months.
So I'd say to you,
If you've done it before,
You have evidence,
Great,
Even better of relocating.
Awesome.
So go and do it.
Just do it.
And here's the thing I'd say,
What's the worst that could happen?
And what's your get out clause?
That's what I do with myself.
I give myself a get out clause because that speaks to my mind.
My mind likes things like that.
So for example,
Let's say I wanted to,
You know,
I was being a digital nomad this year.
So I took my laptop and I worked in countries.
I just said,
I genuinely just said,
If I don't like it,
I'll just,
I'll just come back or I'll fly somewhere else.
I booked one way tickets.
I booked a one way flight basically.
Just went,
I was in Croatia,
I was around Europe.
And I said,
If I don't like it,
I'll just come back.
Oh,
Oh,
Nice,
Simple.
So simple.
So if you don't like it,
You can come back.
You know,
Maybe you're relocating to New Zealand,
To the other side of the world,
Whatever,
You could still come back.
There's always a way to reverse something,
Right?
Even if it,
Even you might even say,
No,
No,
Raj,
I've got to change jobs.
I've got to do this.
Okay.
Then I'll say,
Is it,
Do you want to play?
Is it worth,
Is it worth it?
Is it worth rolling the dice then?
Is it worth trying?
Most of the time it is.
If,
If it's something deep inside your soul or your heart that wants to do this,
You know,
When you listen to that thing,
It can't really,
It can't hurt.
It can't hurt.
It's usually worth doing it rather than going against your own soul and heart.
That's the worst.
Cause that thing festers,
You know,
You can go against your mind way easier than your heart.
And actually the way I mean that is it's almost like an opposite.
So what I mean is it feels hard to go against your mind.
You know,
It feels harder to go against your mind,
But in the longterm,
When you actually do it,
It feels easy.
It's one of those things where you say,
Oh,
It wasn't that bad.
I was making such a big deal out of it.
I was thinking so much about this.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
Before I did this,
I was thinking so much.
I was so in my head and you laugh about it.
You'll be like,
Oh my God,
I'm so funny,
Aren't I?
I make these big deals out of things.
So when you follow your heart and you get through that barrier of thinking,
It's worth it.
Usually pretty much.
If you listen to your thinking,
Your heart and your soul will,
Will remind you,
It will send you these signals where you feel off.
You feel off.
You feel like you're not living fully.
You feel like you're not yourself.
That's I think what I was challenged by my whole life.
I didn't have a mental problem,
Which I thought I did.
I had a problem of not being able to connect to the inner guidance.
Not listening to it.
That's why I was hurting so bad.
So that's,
That's something I want to say to all of you guys.
When you listen and you go and do something that's coming from a place that's not a thought.
It's just this urge,
This sense,
This,
I want to do it,
But I'm scared.
It's okay to be scared.
Good.
Be scared.
Cause then you'll tell a story about it someday.
I feel like I should stop the session right there.
Let's go into a few moments of silence.
That's what my intuition says.
You know,
I live by this now.
I try to lead by this heart.
And now,
Right now is saying,
Let's go into a little meditation practice.
Close your eyes.
Smile a little bit.
And I hope you're feeling a warm and tingly feeling right now in your heart.
And if you're not,
See if you can receive that from me.
If you really,
Really tune in,
You'll receive warmth.
Bring your attention to your heart.
And relax.
Just relax.
If there's any tension,
Imagine I was breathing into your lungs and making space.
In your heart.
And bring to your awareness the action of the transformation that you want to take.
The thing you really long for deep down.
Thing you wish for.
Even if you don't know how,
Visualize it.
And feel it in your heart.
And know that in this moment,
You are okay.
And you can just be here.
Find your inner smile.
Find your inner strength.
Your fire.
The energy to transform your world.
Okay.
It's the end of practice.
Open your eyes.
Let me know if that brought up anything in you.
I'm on a roll.
Yes,
I am.
Here's the key,
Guys.
Slowing down.
Turning the lamp of energy we have,
Which turns into frantic thoughts and running around and actions,
Turning that lamp into a laser.
Focusing.
Focusing.
Slowing down and focusing it.
That's been the biggest game changer for me.
And anyone I work with,
That's what I'm doing with them.
How can we turn this lamp into a laser?
Because then all the thinking,
All the thinking can slow down.
And there's a direction.
There's a focus.
The action you want.
Okay,
Let's start with a small version of it.
Let's make that happen.
When's that going to happen?
That's what I'll say to someone.
When are you going to do that?
Well,
I'm going to do it this day.
Okay,
Great.
Now it's done.
It's happening.
Slowing down.
Slowing down so you can see and think clearly.
Then taking the actions.
Because then it's way easier to create things.
Because there's not all of this distraction from the mind haunting us.
It's still there.
I'll tell you guys,
I hear it every day.
I hear my mind every day trying to pull me to do things,
Trying to tell me things.
But I'm not,
I'm no longer being convinced that it's true.
Instead,
I'm just going with what I know inside.
Even if my mind is scared and worried.
Yeah,
Let it be.
Maybe it's got a point.
I don't have to listen to it.
Yeah,
Maybe it's got a point.
Oh,
Hey,
Thanks for that.
Thanks,
Mind.
Here's what I'm going to do,
Though.
It's the whispers of our ancestors saying,
Be safe.
It's okay.
It's a survival system.
It's okay.
Nothing wrong with that.
I probably need that if there was a lion chasing me.
So it's okay.
I don't need to try and kill it.
I just need to see what the truth is inside and go with that path.
Action comes from the heart.
You know,
Right here,
It's in the center of us.
My arms are coming from the heart area.
My arms that do stuff.
My legs,
My core.
Action is all coming from this area.
Strength in the core.
Wisdom in the heart.
That's where action happens.
You want to know what chakras are?
I've got a recording on chakras.
I know them all by experience of what they are as a living experience.
And I'll tell you,
Action is a bodily thing.
It's not from the mind.
Coming from the fire in our belly.
The courage in the heart.
So that's all we've got for you today,
Guys.
Let me know if that helped.
I'd love to hear,
Before we finish,
What are your insights?
What are you taking away from this?
What are you going to take away from being here with me?
Being here with us?
What's the one insight you got that you feel might change your life?
Genuinely?
What's the one insight that might change your life,
If it was to happen?
Not needing to worry about the how,
But what's your insight?
What's the possibility that you see?
Put it in the chat,
Guys.
I call it sharing it to declare it.
Once you declare it in the chat,
Our words are powerful.
Our energies are powerful.
When we embody it,
When we declare it,
When we use our words,
Things will start changing.
So,
What's the one step?
The one tiny step?
Tiny is better than nothing.
I ask people a lot,
What's the one tiny action you can take?
So tiny that you can't even convince yourself that it's scary.
Take that one.
To feel more and be led by the heart,
Yes.
Be careful of feelings,
Though.
Be careful of living life through feelings and emotions.
When I say heart,
Really I'm mentioning the centeredness inside us,
The spirit,
The control center,
The middle,
The life force.
Emotions are all over the place.
They're psychological.
Psychological emotions and thoughts are one in the same.
But that quiet,
That quiet knowing,
That's different.
It's like a cool breeze that's moving through,
Whispers.
I'll trust myself more,
My own ideas,
My own abilities,
My own expression,
Yes.
That's what I'm about,
Expression.
The full expression,
I call it.
That's what I believe is life's path.
How can we be fully expressed?
Holding nothing back.
Not beating myself up,
Just take the right step,
Yes.
Listen to my intuitive call,
Yes.
Live an uncluttered life,
Yes.
Action comes from the body,
Exactly.
Action comes from the body,
That's it,
It's embodiment.
That was huge for me,
By the way,
Action comes from the body,
Yeah.
All right guys,
If you have any questions,
You can see how tuned in I am right now.
You can see how I'm into this stuff,
Right?
You can see the passion,
You can see the lived experience I have from this,
Not from a book.
So message me and tell me what are some of the things that you want to move towards and what's in your way,
Because then we can continue what we've done here with everyone,
But I can do it one to one with you.
I can send you to the direction,
You can tell me more about the challenge,
A bit more context,
And I can just help you a bit more,
Better,
Let's just say.
So that's my invitation,
Message me here or via my website withraj.
Com.
Go to the website and there's a contact page where you can just send me a message basically.
Go for it.
A few people have said to me,
Raj,
I was waiting to send you a message for months and I'm so glad I did now.
After we had a conversation,
They're like,
Whoa,
I don't know why I waited so long.
Why was I waiting?
I was nervous,
I was worried.
So I just make it very clear to people that the opportunity is there and there's no need to wait.
So ask me anything.
And yeah,
Website.
And if you go to the website,
There'll be a pop-up that comes up and it will say,
If you want to read five ways to challenge your overthinking,
Put your email address in and you'll get this little six page guide I made where I talk about body,
I talk about the mind,
I talk about foods even,
I think I mentioned in there.
So it's all about how to challenge overthinking.
You'll get that guide if you put your email in.
And the best bit,
Well,
It's exciting for me anyway,
The best bit is you'll be added to my subscriber list and I send emails basically.
I send articles.
For example,
Today,
The article I sent to my subscribers,
I read it in the,
I wrote it in the moment in flow and it was called,
How are you stopping yourself from having you want?
And it's a question I ask myself,
A question I ask a lot of people,
How are you stopping yourself?
And I wrote a whole,
Like,
It's not that long,
It's like two,
Three minute read,
An article of how we can change from feeling like the world's against us to us really taking ownership.
This was massive for me.
I was living in shame and victimhood for my whole life.
So this,
Yeah,
This article was,
It was,
It was deep.
So yeah,
If you want to join the subscriber list,
You'll just get my next articles.
If you want to read that one I just talked about,
Send me a message and I'll send that one directly to your email.
And yeah,
My website has a bunch of resources.
It has a bunch of videos,
My YouTube page,
My Instagram page.
If you're interested,
Follow that because I put,
I make live stories while I'm,
Whilst I'm walking somewhere and I say things I'm doing and like lessons and stuff like that.
Food,
Sometimes I share all sorts of stuff.
And there's,
I think there's like 50,
60 book recommendations on that Instagram page.
So website is withraj.
Com.
Cool,
Guys.
That's all I've got in terms of,
Yeah,
Things I wanted to mention at the end.
