So spiritual ego can come in and I welcome all of you guys who are not putting that into the room.
I don't like that smell of that.
I'm a learner myself.

I haven't really directly shared a lot about this before because Kundalini is a very sacred thing to me.
And I don't want it to be misunderstood.

So it doesn't get messed up and it doesn't get confused.

So back to kundalini.
Slowing myself down.
Because kundalini is energy.
It's life force.
It's different to the energy where,

I eat my oatmeal and I feel physical energy through my body.
It is that as well.

But it's the source of all of the energy.
It's the source of what allows the digestive system to actually digest food,
Right?
Turns the heat on.
It's the source of breath.
What is beyond breath?
What moves the breath?
What moves the plants?
What moves the planet?
The primal source is kundalini in everything.
And then we have that access to our system within us.
Does that make sense?

So there's a primal source of everything.
And then we have access to that,

So there's a life force.
My brand is basically life force.

But I basically made a deal with this thing,
This entity,
This force,
That I would be the one that will share it with the world in the most powerful and authentic way by allowing it to move through me.
So I made a deal.
Now it's my brand.
Because it's like this is the thing I work for,
Right?
So kundalini,
Life force.
Life force means kundalini,
Right?
Kundalini is just a word that might resonate with people more,
Right,
In spiritual circles.
Kundalini.
We can wield this.
However,
Here's an example of kundalini out of control.
My father used to get quite angry.
Maybe you guys can relate.
Have you got an angry father?
My father used to get quite angry when he was stressed,
Right,
When he was having a lot.
I love my father,
So I'm not going to speak about him in vain because I see people doing that.
And I even did that myself.
I'd speak about my own parents in vain.
How rude!
How rude!
Just because I had things I didn't sort out within myself.
So I was judging them.
Judging my dad for being angry,
Right?
He was angry because he was stressed.
Working too hard,
Working to support a family.
So when he was angry,
He'd blurt out,
He'd shout,
And he'd just flip,
Right?
His fire would be on.
That's kundalini coming out.
It can result in anger.
Frustration.
The whole body's fired up.
The kundalini isn't flowing effectively.
It's getting stuck in certain chakras.
Which I'll tell you about as well.
It's getting stuck in certain chakras.
So it can get stuck in our safety response.
I feel threatened,
So I'm going to get fiery and angry.
Or I'm going to implode.
That's the other thing.
My dad would shout.
He'll explode.
For me,
Most of my life,
I never shouted.
I imploded.
Who's an imploder here,
Or who's an exploder?

How does your frustration,
Anger,
Resentment manifest in your body?
Implosive or explosive?
You're either one.
You have to be honest with yourself.
Even I was.

I even put my dad in there,
Right?
This is the human experience.

It's not like a one size,
But it's tendencies we have,

Personality types,
Horoscopes,
They exist.
Because we have tendencies.
But we are not fixed to those horoscopes and star signs.
We're not fixed.
Everyone is a mixture ultimately,
Right?
But we lean towards certain tendencies.
My leaning is implosive,
Right?
So own it.

That's how kundalini can sometimes arise in an unhelpful way.
If it's not moving through us,
Right?
Anger comes up.
Because it mixes with our psychological patterns of who we are,
Our defense systems,
Our ego.
Who knows the word ego,
Right?
I'm right.

You should do this.
Should,

Should.
We're built from our childhood of being trained as almost like mini-soldiers.
You should be like this.
Why aren't you doing that?
And again,
There's nothing wrong with that.
This is all just the human experience.
I want you guys to really know this is the human experience.
Nothing's wrong,
But things can be improved,
Right?
Right?
Can things be improved?
You know what I'm saying?

Do you get the angle I'm trying to teach you here when I'm talking about this kundalini?
I want you to see it all as helpful.
I want you to see your pain as helpful.
I want you to see everything as helpful.
It's just that we can improve things.
If I had a pipe and the pipe,

I'm in Bali right now and there's not much water pressure coming out of the pipes.
Hardly any water.
It's like dripping out.
I'm not even showering properly because it's like dripping out.
Water's coming out.
The pipe could be stronger.
If the pipes are stronger in our system,
We flow better.
We're more potent.
Everything's better,
Right?
That's what I'm trying to lean you guys towards.
That's how I teach.
That's how I coach.
Okay,
So that's kundalini 101.
And then I'll tell you a little bit more about how else it can manifest.
It can manifest in confusion.
Who am I?
Because there's another thing that happens is kundalini doesn't just sometimes get stuck in our body as anger,
As heat.
It can also go into our mind.
So our mind becomes so racy and we're thinking so much.
This was my biggest challenge growing up.
I was thinking so much that it was hurting me.
Can you guys relate to thinking so much that you're just so in your head?
And this is a very common problem.
It still happens to me time to time as well.
I'm human,
Right?
There's so much energy in the brain and it just drives you crazy.
Can you relate to that?

That's kundalini as well.
Kundalini is thoughts.
It generates energy as thoughts,
Right?
Some might say it's thoughts that come first.
Okay,
But where do the thoughts come from?
They're running off something.
There's a system.
There's a spinning wheel.
The car has an engine.
That's life force.
That's kundalini.
So my mission as a coach,
The way I work people one-on-one is,
Hey,
We're not going to go direct to try and fix your thoughts and your psychology.
I want to look at your kundalini.
I want to look at your energy,
Your life force.
Because that's what's supplying all of this stuff.
If the flow is clear,
You become clear.
So we don't have to jangle our thoughts around and do all this mind analysis,
You know?
So that's a little bit about kundalini.
And then I'll tell you a bit more about my experience.
And then I'm going to tell you how to activate these.
I'm going to talk about three chakras today out of seven.
How you have to activate them.
I'm going to show you a bit of that,
Give you a little bit of a preview.
And then I'll also talk a bit more about kundalini and activating it.
So my journey,
I got into this whole thing through bodybuilding.
It's a very non-conventional approach.
I got into all of the personal development thing through lifting weights.
Strange,
You may say,
Right?
There's loads of people that are lifting weights out there,
Fitness influencers.
They're focused on the fitness,
The body,
Right?
I did it because I had such a racing mind.
I did it because I had social anxiety.
I couldn't speak like this.
I would never have done this,
Ever,
Because there's so many eyes on me.
How do I prepare for that?
How do I make myself sound good?
I'm nervous.
I don't want to be in front of people.
I want to be in the background.
I'm scared.
I can't even talk to people,
You know?
I couldn't even talk in front of groups,
In front of family.
I couldn't share things.
I felt uncomfortable.
Always putting on these masks and cover-up stories.
I was always trying to get out of things,
Trying to find comfort.
Can anyone relate to that?
Any of those social anxiety symptoms?
Would you identify with social anxiety?

Just be honest.
I wish I could have gone to sessions like this when I was struggling.
I had big struggles like this,
And I had nowhere to turn to.
Frozen again.

Yeah,
So social anxiety.
Who else has social anxiety?
Who would relate to that?
I didn't have anywhere to turn.
All I had was going in my head,
Judging myself,
Trying to cover it up,
To be honest.
I was trying to pretend it wasn't there,
And trying to act strong,
And really I was avoiding so many situations.
I was avoidant.
I was so avoidant.
I would avoid having a conversation with my friends.
If they said,
Come here,
How about we go out here?
I would say no,
And I'd make up an excuse.
Lies,
Straight lies.
I would say no,
I can't,
Because I'd think of a really clever story.
I can't because of this.
A story that they can't even challenge because it was so clever.
Only because I wanted to escape any pressure of being seen,
Being intimate in groups,
Being intimate with people.
I found that very challenging.
Being humiliated,
Judged,
And sometimes I wasn't conscious of that.
All I knew was this terrible danger feeling,
Right?
Can you guys relate to that?
Maybe you're not conscious of those thoughts.
Your body's just in flames.
That's why I talk about the body,
Because in this personal development industry,
So many people don't talk about it properly.
There's a bias of like,
Okay,
You've got to work on your mind,
And then there's another whole bias of the body.
It's not bringing it together properly,
Right?
That's what Kundalini does.
Kundalini brings everything together.
I basically went on a journey of yoga,
Let's say.
Bodybuilding was my thing first.
It was the only thing that helped me relax and feel strong for the first time.
I felt like I could control that feeling of shame and pain and judgment and feeling like I'm worthless,
Because bodybuilding gave me something where I can actually change myself for the first time.
I thought I was stuck.
I literally thought I was one of those dolls that have dysfunctions that you can't fix.
Bodybuilding gave me hope.
I could change something.
Wow,
Look,
I'm changing things in the mirror.
Wow,
Amazing.
So it was my first stint into self-improvement,
And I was committed.
I would go to the gym when it was snowing.
I would work out.
And even now,
I'd work out.
I'd always find a way to work out,
Because it anchors me into empowerment,
Right?
So basically then,
I became known for it.
I'd be walking around in muscles.
Everyone was like,
Wow,
You've gotten so strong.
However,
There was still this feeling of inadequacy.
It was still covering something up.
So only when I got into yoga,
About nine years ago,
I went into my first yoga class.
I write this in my book as well.
If anyone's interested in my book,

It's based on the chakras.
It's based on kundalini as well.
I walked into a class,
Because this pretty girl was going to this class,
Right?
First ever time I'd been to a yoga class,
Only because there's a pretty girl there.
And I was like,
Okay,
I'll come along.
Let's go.
Okay,
Cool.
This seems fun.
You seem friendly.
You seem nice.
Let's go along.
Little did I know that one class changed my life.
I was the only guy in there.
This big bodybuilder.
And I felt relaxed for the first time in my life.
So then I got fascinated by yoga.
I turned my discipline of muscles into yoga.
I applied the same commitment,
Discipline,
Practicing breath practices every day,
Reading books about kundalini,
Trying things out,
Right?
I'm a test and learn kind of guy,
Versus theory alone.
Test and learn.
Do things,
Learn.
Do things,
Learn.
So I learned the secrets of kundalini through practice,
Through learning.
And then I continued learning.
I took my 500-hour kundalini course,
Actually quite recently,
In the last few years.
But I knew a lot of it already.
However,
It helped me strengthen it,
Right?
I've done a lot of breath practices.
And there's a lot.
There's a lot that's happened,
Basically,
That's allowed me to become this kundalini man.
And then the chakras come with the kundalini.
So that's who I am.
I'll coach people one-on-one.
Sometimes one of you guys might message me,
Saying,
Hey,
Raj,
I can't believe what you were saying today.
It resonated so much with me.
That's what I get.
I get messages like that,
Right?
Where did you come from,
Raj?
It feels like you just came at the right time.
So then I might end up working with people one-on-one,
Or they might come to group things that I'm hosting privately.
And that's basically what I do.
That's why I get to work online,
Anywhere in the world,
Because I made my business about the thing I care about most,
Which is freeing people,

Freeing a voice.
Freeing our voice.
Letting us to be ourselves.
And kundalini has done that for me.
And I haven't shared that much,

About it before.
But I'm going to do more today.
So that's a bit about me.
It's framing up me.

I see there's a few people who say social anxiety.
Definitely,
Yeah.

And sometimes maybe it's a different kind of anxiety that some of you guys experience,

Maybe it's just self-doubt when going for a new job,
Or you want to start a new career,
Or you're in a relationship.
That's another key area where you're doubting your worth in a relationship,
Or someone's taking advantage of your nice ways.
I often attract people who are the nice people,
Overly nice,
People-pleasing,
Right?
Because their power has been dampened sometimes.
Just like it was for me.
I didn't feel my power.
I just followed along with what other people said and did,
And I didn't step into the power.
Kundalini has allowed me to unleash that.
So,
Slowing myself down now.

I'm going to give you a little map or a tour.
And then I'm going to give you some practical ways that you can start unleashing this,

Where does it live?
It lives in our lower hip area,

They are vortexes of energy.
I'm quite a scientist,
As some of you guys might know.
I try to talk in scientific terms,
But still spiritual.
Not like spiritual woo,

Woo.
And not overly geek scientist.
I'm trying to blend the two together.
I'm quite logical,
Right?
My dad's a mechanic,
So I probably get it from my dad.
So,
Wheels of energy,
Vortexes.
It's very common sense,
If you really think about it,
Right?
You don't have to believe in anything spiritual.
In the heart area,
There has to be a vortex of energy.
Why?
Because there's pumping going on in there.
That's a chakra.
There's a pumping.
There's a joining of energy from all over the body.
The heart is emitting power,
Right?
It's a power center.
That's what my book's called,
Power Centers.
It's a power center,
The heart.
And then our sex organs,
Let's just call them.
Obviously,
There's a lot of energy there,
Right?
It's a spinning vortex,
Powerful vortex of energy there that allows us to make children,
Right?
There has to be stuff there that's potent and powerful.
And that's where,
Generally,
That's where kundalini is living,
Right?
That's where it's living in that area.
That's where we have the ability to move it through the other centers.
So,
It's living.
Let's talk about that.
That's the first of the three chakras I'm going to talk about today.
It's the creation center,
I call it.
Some of you might relate it to the sacral chakra,
If you want to use that language.
And this area is so important because it's our identity.
It's our feeling self.
And kundalini,
When it's not felt,
When we don't allow ourselves to feel things,
When we don't feel our creative power,
And it starts getting blocked,
Kundalini can turn into this.

Have you ever met someone who's just annoyed and.

.
Who's just annoyed.
They're pent up.
They're just so pent up.
They're just getting angry at everyone.
They got pent up energy down there,
Right?
Got pent up energy down there.
So,
There can sometimes be a knotting.
And it's because the energy is not flowing through that center.
I had so many problems with this.
So many.
And it would result in me being egoic or trying to prove myself to try and claim back.
I was trying to claim back some power.
Because I had all this social anxiety.
In other ways,
I tried to claim power in a conversation or try and be better than someone or judge someone in my head because I'm trying to make them look worse so I feel better about myself,
Which is feeling inadequate all the time.
So,
If I think that about them,
Oh,
Maybe I feel better and more powerful,
Right?
Anyone feel that one?
Anyone feel that?
Again,
I don't want to frame this negatively.
I just want to show you how it shows up sometimes.
And I knew that this wasn't helpful for me,
Right?
So,
A way you can unlock this first center that I'm going to talk about,
This chakra,
The sacral chakra,
Where the kundalini is able to really burst and live,
There's a few things you can do.
So,
Breath practices that are focused on bringing your body into play.
Not just breath practices.
Bring your body into play.
So,
For example,
Hip movements.
Doing hip-focused yogic exercises.
Asanas.
Breathing there as well.
Really opening the hips.
You know,
Have you ever seen.

When I was traveling around Latin America,
I would just notice that the men and the women,
They were just really good dancers,

And I used to always ask them.
I was so fascinated.
I was like,
How do you make this look so easy and so natural?
And they just do it.
It's just in them.
Colombians and Brazilians.
We had a Brazilian here earlier.

They're just moving their body,
Right?
They're feeling their body.
It's coming from the hips.
They're feeling pleasure in that as well.
They're enjoying it,
Right?
They're really,
Really enjoying feeling their body moving,
Hearing music,
And the music is in their body,
And it's moving,

And I couldn't dance,
You know?
I couldn't dance.
I was a very awkward British man coming and trying to dance in these salsa places,
And I was all over the place,
Stiff and strange and so stiff.
And eventually took some classes,
Right?
And the guy was so suave,
Right?
The guy that was teaching was so suave.
The girl was so suave.
And ever since then,
I learned,
Wow,
Like how good does it feel to feel that energy in us?
So I'm not telling you to go and dance all day long,
But I'm saying feel your hips.
Feel the energy,
The life force moving through you,
Right?
That feeling sense.
Feel the pleasure in it.
Feel the pleasure of being in your body.
Feel pleasure of having a body,
Right?
Being in the body.
That's what will open up that sacred center,
That creative center.
When we feel things.
I was blocking off so many feelings in my life.
Oh my God.
This was a big challenge for me.
And that meant the kundalini couldn't rise.
Basically,
The goal of kundalini is we want to allow this energy to move through our spinal cord and ignite our entire body,
Our system,
Our stomach is cleaner.
It's moving through the stomach and cleaning it.
It's moving through our throat so we can speak gracefully and potently.
That's why I can speak like this,
Because this kundalini is moving me.
Not my head,
Right?
None of this is coming from my head.
I'm not even thinking about what to say.
Kundalini is moving this,
Right?
That's how any dancer can dance.
Any singer can sing.
Because they have activated kundalini in that center.
And they might not even know that.
They might not use that language,
But that's what I'm sharing right now.
So we want kundalini to move through our body to cleanse it,
Purify it.
Kundalini has the power to purify us.
Right?
It will purify the stomach.
So there's all this gut microbiome stuff these days.
Hey,
Eat this because it will clean your gut.
Eat,
Eat,
Eat.
Do this gut microbiome cleanse.
And that's true.
But so many people would do the health cleanse and still the problems arise because the mind is causing problems in the stomach sometimes,
Right?
And what does kundalini do?
It overtakes the mind.
It's more powerful than the mind.
And it can cleanse the body at the same time.
It's a purification.
So that's the purpose of kundalini.
And when I talked about that first center that I was talking about earlier,
The sacral center,
In our hips,
That allows it to start moving.
So I've done this movement in kundalini yoga where you're just going around in a circle and you're moving your hips.
You're feeling your spine like a spoon in a cup.
Right?
And you could try that right now.
Let's do it right now.
Let's do it right now so it's not just theory.
If you want to.
You don't have to.
But I invite you to just move your hips and just feel like you're stirring a cup with your spine.

So you're just moving forward and back.
Just making rotations.
Making space in there.
And feel it.
Feel the pleasure of like there's a body here.
The whole body here.

And then reverse and go in the other direction.

I ended up taking dance classes and it was the most amazing thing ever.

When properly,
Precisely used.
Kundalini is like a nuclear,
It's like a nuclear bomb.
It's like having a flamethrower.
If you use,
If you use a flamethrower properly to burn something down that's in the way and it's not useful,
Then it's good.
But if the flamethrower is pointed at myself and I'm scared,
Oh my God,
I'm scared all the time.
That was me.
I was living in fight or flight because my Kundalini was so like shaky.
It was unstable.
So Kundalini wasn't helpful at that point.
And this is the thing.
There's a lot of Kundalini activation processes out there where people will get people to do intense breath works and let's do this.
But there's an implication to that.
Yogic science,
Which is my lineage,
Indian,
And I'm very proud of sharing yogic ancient science in a modern way.
Yogic science states that we must be able to stabilize our energy centers.
We have to stabilize the energy.
Otherwise,
Then it does become,
I'm not going to use the word dangerous because that might scare you guys.
It becomes uncomfortable.
Kundalini has to be treated very carefully with a proper guide,
Someone who's been through it,
Not just knows the theory and has read off someone else and then diluted it.
It's actually been through it,
Understands it meticulously.
Then it's powerful.
It can do a lot of things.

When I started meditating,
I felt energy.
I didn't know what it was and I do now.

I'm so glad that you feel that.

It's very uncomfortable.
You start feeling things.
You start seeing things.
You might get stimulated.

And that's okay.
That's just energy moving,

That's a thing that can happen from a lot of Kundalini.
You might start getting frustrated.
You might not want to do your job anymore.

You might have an urging to start a new business.
It's pushing out who we really are and our life potential.
It will destroy everything that's in the way.
Once you unleash it,
It will destroy everything that's in the way and it will show you.
It will show you and you cannot ignore it.
If you ignore it,
It will bug you.
You'll start getting more tense and more angry.
There's no going back.
That's the thing I usually say to people.
If you open this,
If you start having existential crises,
You don't know what to do with your life and you're questioning things and you start getting angry at people and this and that,
You've opened a box.
And now,
It's very difficult to go backwards.
You have to keep moving forward with this.
That's what I realized when I was like,

I wish I didn't explore these things.
And at the same time,
I'm so glad I did.
I'm so glad I understood it now.
Because I know how to work with it now and it's helpful for me versus driving me crazy,

If I have this ego identity,

So it's our well-meaning.

It's trying to feel whole.

It's constantly working,

Working to try and feel whole.
It's working all day to try and feel whole.
When I have this,
I'm going to feel whole.
When I have this relationship,
I'll feel whole.
When I have this money,

I'll feel whole.
If I'm better than that person,
I'll feel better.
I'll feel better about myself.
That's what ego is.
And the ego tends to live in the stomach because what happens when you feel under threat?
Stomach tenses up.
I'm guarding.
I'm in fight mode.
Fight.
I had a big challenge with this.
I wasn't rude to anyone.
That wasn't that kind of ego.

Flamboyant.
Show off,
You know.
Mine was,
Again,
Very implosive.
Very implosive.
I wouldn't show myself.
Actually,
I had a challenge with even confidence.
With,
Like,
Saying things that were true.
With showing my skills and ability.
Can anyone relate to that one?
You have skills and ability.
You're good at something,
But you're scared to show it to people.
You find it difficult to be confident with what you have.
That's also what ego can do.

So that's another challenge with this ego,
Because it's like we're trying to be this protective mechanism,
This identity we think we are,
So it's scary to be who we really are.

Coming back to logic,

Where energy is distributed from.
I put this in my book as well.
I talk about this center as the distribution of energy.
It's a storehouse.
So it allows for heat to move through our body.
We eat things,
And then what happens?
There's something working in our stomach.
Heat gets distributed through our body.
So we need this.
We need this to be useful and powerful.
So I've done a lot of kundalini yoga practices,
And I can suggest a few that you could try,
Things that you can try on your own,
Right,
That aren't going to be overly intense.
So you can do breath of fire,
A breath of fire practice.
Anyone have a breath of fire practice?
I believe I have one somewhere.
If anyone's interested,

Where you can watch me showing you.
So there's a breath of fire practice,
Which allows you to pump heat into your body.
And we'll do a very short version of that in a moment.
So pumping heat into the body means we activate that solar center.
It's the sun within us,
And this allows the kundalini to be pumped through the body,
Right?
So kundalini to be pumped through the body,
And it clears the system again.
It's purifying.
Fire purifies things,
Right?
Fire purifies.
So we need to be so good at this.
This is actually,
Even in Tibetan tantra,
They talk about the stomach as being the most important center,
Because if you can use the stomach well,
Then you can distribute energy well.
There's a balanced energy.
So if you focus on this stomach area and you get really good at this,
Your life will change,
100%.
That's what it did to me.
As soon as I got good at breath practices and fire practices,
I became more confident.
I could actually speak my truth a bit better,
Because I wasn't dampened and overly slot-like.
I had fire in me moving,
Right?
Food gets cleansed.
Junk that's in your stomach gets cleansed through this.
It's powerful.
And kundalini is doing that,
Right?
It's clearing.
It's cleansing.
That's what it can do.
So we'll do a really quick demonstration,

Get very good at working with your stomach.
That includes what foods do you put in there.

I carry a blender with me.
I make smoothies even when I'm traveling.
I carry it somewhere over there.
I carry a blender because it's so important for me to eat fruits and find vegetables to blend and drink them.
Because that's loving my stomach.
My stomach loves that.
It loves having all the vitamins without having to take some stupid vitamin pill made in a lab.
It's ridiculous.
It's feeding on our insecurities and making us lazy.
I'll eat a vitamin pill.
Oh yeah,
It stays all natural.
It's okay.
No,
It's not.
And I'd say this because I learned from experience from taking all these vitamins.
Things like vitamin D and this and that.
And by the way,
I'm not your medical doctor.
So,
Please don't take this as I'm trying to tell you to stop everything.
If you need it,
If there's some deficiency,
Okay,
Maybe you take it.
Maybe,
Though,
You look at exploring what would it be like if you were to create all of that vibrancy within you through foods,
Right?
So,
I ended up doing it.
I used to eat junk.
As a bodybuilder,
I was searching for protein all day.
Any dudes in here can relate to that?
Protein,
Protein,
Protein all day.
All day,
I want some protein.
Protein,
I need protein,
Right?
So,
I was addicted to that.
I was addicted to that.
I was eating crap that was including protein.
Fried food,
Junk foods.
I changed that over time.
When kundalini awakened,
Funnily enough,
I didn't have to think about doing this through my head.
The kundalini transformed how I looked at food.
My tongue changed.
Hear me when I say that.
My tongue changed.
So,
Remember the centering point of this session.
Work on your kundalini and your food habits will change automatically.
You will not have to force yourself to do this because your body will reject junk food.
I can't.

I will get physically sick and feel strange if I eat junk.
I can't even eat cake.
I don't eat cake on my birthday.
I told my parents,
I don't want it.
It's poison.
It feels like poison to me,

Kundalini needs a fresh,
Good supply of food.
Then it's powerful.

It creates inflammation.
Inflammation is not good for us,

He follows my stories and he's like,
Oh my God,
Raj,
Look who you've become.
Because he knew me as this guy.
He literally said to me,
You're a shrinking violet.
Anyone know what the shrinking violet means?
I'm sure you do.
He said it to me direct,
Point blank.
You're like a shrinking violet,
Raj.
It's a flower that's wilted.
It's beautiful,
But it's not showing its beauty,
Right?
It's hiding it.
Shrinking violet,
He called me.
And it stuck with me forever.
Stuck with me forever.
I put it in my book.
I talk about it in my book a little bit as well.
Oh no,
In my new book.
I'm writing a second book right now.
And there's a whole chapter about shrinking violet.
Anyway.
I was in this job and he hired me because he saw some potential in me.
I don't know what he saw.
He saw something,
Right?
He's like,
I'm going to make you a success.
I was only 21 at the time.
It was my first real office job.
Big office,
International company.
I was wearing shirts and I was excited.
I was like,
Oh my God,
I'm in this cool job.
Wow,
Look,
I made it.
I was making like 24,
000 a year,
Which for me was so much,
So much money.
I was so proud.
However,
He was pushing me to become this great person.
He was my first ever mentor.
You can call it really.
He wanted me to be a success.
I was only 21 at the time.
20.
I don't even remember.
I think it was 20 or 21.
Yeah.
And he said,
Raj,
I'm going to get you in front of the department and speak.
I want everyone to see you and I want you to present in front of them.
Oh my God.
I was so angry at him.
I was angry.
I was like,
I'm not doing that.
He's trying to force me into something I didn't want to do.
He was trying to push me.
And just because he's my boss,
Do I have to do this?
I just listen to him because he's my boss.
Yeah,
I do.
I do.
And I was stuck.
I was so stressed out.
This presentation I want.
And you know what?
I only had to speak for about one minute.
One minute.
It wasn't like I was doing anything major.
One minute.
In front of about 40 people.
My biggest fear.
I was so scared.
Right.
And then it came like weeks in advance.
I'd be worried.
I'd be trying to find a way out of it.
I even told him.
I want to do this.
He's like,
Don't worry.
It's going to be fine.
I just did it.
Right.
I just followed along.
Okay.
Yeah.
Maybe I have to get over this thing.
I wasn't ready.
I was living in fear.
I was socially anxious.
Tense.
Scared.
Traumatized.
Really.
I didn't realize there's all that stuff going on.
Traumatized by my childhood.
I didn't realize that.
I just thought that.
Okay.
I just have to deal with it.
You know,
My fight or flight response was on all the time.
I just thought that was normal.
Right.
It wasn't.
So I get to the day.
And then the first thing I did was.
It was like 9 a.
M.
In the morning.
The talk.
And I go to a shop and I buy a bottle of vodka.
Right.
Morning time.
They were looking at me.
This is London.
There's weirdos all around London.
But they were looking at me like I'm a weirdo.
What are you doing?
It's 8 a.
M.
Sort of drinking that in the toilets at work.
In my shirt and suit.
Freaking out.
Like oh my god.
Like no.
I was in.
I was literally in a trauma response.
And obviously I didn't know that at the time.
I was completely freaking out.
Get up.
And then I'm sweating.
That's another thing that I had going on a lot.
I would be so hot.
Sweating.
Get up and I do it.
And I couldn't even speak.
I was choking my words.
Everyone was looking at me concerned.
Why is he sweating and red in the face?
So.
I used to go so bright red.
I used to go so bright red with anything.
People used to be shocked.
Like why is your face red?
I can't even hide that.
Anyone else have the face red thing?
Anyone feel that?
And by the way you might be thinking Raj.
Like doesn't seem like this could have been you.
Are you just telling us.
Like is this for real?
Yeah.
It's for real.
Red in the face.
Sweating.
Everyone's looking at me.
Like what's going on with this guy?
Who is this?
And disappointed or worried.
So worried.
Everyone's worried faces.
Like what's going on?
And then I ended it.
And then I was sweating.
Pouring down on the floor.
In this room.
Freaking out.
And I couldn't even get out of the room.
I didn't even.
I didn't.
I didn't want to walk out of the room.
Because like that makes me look weak.
Right?
Just stood there.
After the session he says to me.
Raj what happened there?
What was that?
And I said to him.
I told you I didn't want to do this.
And he felt bad.
And then eventually I left the job.
I quit.
Freaked out.
It's too much.
So I guess why I'm saying all of this.
Is this can be so limiting.
When we're not confident using our voices.
Right?
And I'm sure all of you guys can relate.
This was my biggest challenge in life.
And it's connected to all the chakras really.
But the throat is how we use our voices.
Right?
How do we get it out?
People often tell me.
They feel like constriction in their throat.
Have you ever felt constriction in your throat?
In this kind of throat area.
Where you can't really speak.
You're just like shutting something down.
You're not really being yourself.
You're not saying what you really think.
And then you're getting in your head about what to say.
Be honest.
Put it in the chat.
I'm not here to judge you.
I feel you.
I love.
I love meeting people like you.
Because I understand.
I went to a psychologist.
They didn't understand me.
Therapist.
They didn't understand.
Because they haven't felt it.
How can they help me really.
If they don't.
They've never felt it.
I was like.
So confused.
I asked them.
Have you experienced this?
No.
But I can tell you what to do.
Because I've written.
I've read the paperwork.
And the therapist worksheet.
And I've taken.
I'm a licensed therapist.
And this is what we do.
And this is what we say to people.
That's rubbish.
It's rubbish.
It's book therapy.
Psychological models.
Carl Jung says this.
So I'll tell you.
Because I'll follow and copy.
No.
No.
We need people who've had real experiences.
That's what I needed.
I never met someone like that though.
I never did.
I never did.
I ended up becoming the person that people meet.
And they say.
Oh my God.
I'm so glad that I met you.
Person I wish I could have met.
You know.
And I'm feeling myself getting a little bit emotional.
As I'm saying this.
So you know how challenging this can be.
I often forget.
You know.
Because I'm where I'm at now.
And I've moved past it.
But yeah.
It was very challenging.
So.
How do we free this thing?
How do we free our voices guys?
I'm going to tell you right now.
I'm going to share some things.
That are going to really help you.
Kundalini wants to move.
Through our entire body.
Like I said earlier.
It wants to move through the sacral area.
Because that's our expression of who we are.
That's our feeling sense.
Our hips feeling ourselves.
And then it wants to move through our stomach.
And then it wants to come out our throat.
So here's the quick answer.
Unfortunately.
Just working on the throat enough.
Is not going to be.
Most effective.
Sorry to tell you that.
If you go to a throat chakra healer.
And they start touching your throat.
And doing stuff there.
Sorry throat chakra healer.
No.
That ain't good enough.
You can't be a throat chakra healer.
And do some magic around my throat.
That ain't good enough.
I'm sorry.
It's a whole system that has to be worked.
For the throat to be free.
There are specific exercises.
So for example.
You can do this.
This is a kriya.
I'm just showing you a very simple version.
But me moving space around my throat like this.
And synchronizing my breath.
Try it now actually.
Try it with me.
Just.
Breathe in and out.
In.
Turn to the left.
Breathe out.
Turn to the right.
Just for a few seconds.
Feel it in your throat.
So stop.
Don't want to get dizzy.
That will create space in the throat.
We can do neck circles.
We can open up the physical area of it.
Because that's going to help the kundalini to reach the places that are not constricted.
Right.
So if there's more space.
That's what all yoga postures are for.
Yoga was designed for this.
Not to be.
Not to just be flexible.
Right.
Flexibility is what?
Flexibility is what?
Flexibility is there's more space.
For kundalini to rise.
All yoga is based of kundalini.
All yoga.
I'll repeat that.
All yoga is based of unleashing our kundalini.
It's just that many yoga teachers don't know that.
They don't know how to teach that.
They don't understand it.
So they'll teach only the physical postures.
Right.
Physical postures are only to create space in the body.
Kundalini is the next level on that.
It's the real work.
I call it.
The real work of liberation.
It's the work of liberation.
Freedom.
Energy mastery.
Potency.
Fire.
Presence.
All of that comes with this work.
So to work on the throat chakra.
We have to create space in our bodies.
So our throat is a bit more clear.
And we have to do certain practical exercises.
Like for example you could do chanting.
Chanting will activate the throat.
And it will allow us to speak powerful mantra.
Out there that will open up this throat.
That could be helpful.
That's a practical thing you can take away.
Also what I would get someone to do.
Here's another approach.
If I was coaching someone.
Privately or in a closed group or whatever.
I would create challenges for them.
I did this with one of my clients.
I created a rejection challenge with her.
I said you're going to go into a shop.
Or you're going to go and speak to your friends.
You're going to do this at work.
We are going to create scenarios.
Where you're going to say things that feel uncomfortable for you to say.
But it's your truth.
So we went through systematically.
I think we created like 10 of these rejection challenges.
Where we're trying to combat the feeling of rejection.
By approaching it consciously.
We're consciously owning it.
And what this did for her.
She became relentless with her voice afterwards.
She had massive transformation.
She started saying what she wanted from people in life.
Started making demands in a centered way.
She even made demands on me.
She's like Raj.
You know what?
I need more of this from my coaching sessions.
Can you help me with that?
Whereas she said to me.
I wouldn't have done that before.
I would be playing the good girl.
And being timid and quiet and pleasing and playing along.
But she was making demands.
She was in her power with her voice.
So creating challenges.
You can't just sit and do inner work only.
Of course inner work is kundalini work.
Allowing it to cleanse and purify.
However we have to.
With the voice specifically.
The voice is an instrument.
We have to play the instrument.
We have to play the instrument of our voices.
So these are some things you can do.
You can create challenges.
And it might be hard to do that on your own again.
And I'm not just saying this.
So you go and find a mentor.
Or you contact me and say.
Hey Raj.
You said that you need someone.
You need a guide to do this.
So I'm here.
I'm not trying to like brainwash you into that.
Like I know a lot of people would do.
I'm just explaining how it could be helpful.
Right?
I know it's been helpful.
When I've had someone egg me on.
And being there supportive.
Because then I'm doing it with someone.
I'm more likely to challenge myself.
Bigger challenges.
I'm going to report back to them and say.
Oh this is how it went.
And they're nurturing me.
Right?
They're helping me.
It's beautiful.
But you can still do this on your own.
You could just create a list of challenges you want to do.
I think I did this at one point.
I created an Excel worksheet.
Here's some challenges.
Things I would like to speak into the world.
I want to speak in front of a group.
Found that scary.
Did it.
I want to learn to dance.
Go to a dance class.
I want to sing.
I made a whole list of things.
That would feel very uncomfortable.
And started doing them.
Right?
So that's a way you can use your throat chakra.
I mentioned.
Inner kundalini body space creation.
Sorry.
Let me start that again.
Inner space creation through the body.
And then kundalini practices to bring throat.
Breath through your throat.
Working on the whole chakra system as well.
Because you can't be a throat chakra healer.
And say I want to touch your throat and you're healed.
It's a whole system.
Whole system has to be worked.
Right?
And then going and practicing things.
This is what creates confidence.
As you go and use your voice.
Be you is the formula.
Be you.
Be you.
Be you.
Don't try and be me.
I don't want anyone to be me.
You can learn from me.
Please do.
Take everything I've said today.
Learn from me.
Leverage me.
Use me.
I'm here to share and help.
I will guide you.
I will tell you what to do.
I will show you the system.
I will give you the map.
I will give you the challenges.
I will give you everything.
That's why I do it as a profession.
It's what I want,
Right?
But don't be me.
I don't want anyone to be like me.
You know?
I found it difficult to be myself.
I don't want you to be me.
Be you.
I want you to be in the world.
That's what the throat is about.
It's about us expressing our truth into the world.
Being you.
And then we have to release the out-breath out of the throat as well.
We have to release.
It's the air coming out.
It's a release.
The whole system works yin and yang.
Feel and then release.
Feel and release,
Feel and release.
In and out-breath.
That's all the spiritual science I've got for you guys today,
I think.
I've gone really deep into some very important topics.
This stuff,
If you really apply this,
If you've taken a note or you've had insights,
I promise you,
I promise you,
If you take this knowledge in,
You really understand how it works,
And then you go and apply it,
Your life will change.
I know it's a cliché,
But you will become,
Number one,
More free in your body to express yourself.
Like those Latinos I was talking about that I met in Colombia,
They're expressing themselves.
They feel good.
They're beaming with energy.
I was looking at them thinking,
Oh my God,
These people are like sunshine in flesh.
They're so buzzing with energy.
It's so nice to be around them.
There's not this cold,
Hey,
I'm stiff,
And I'm protective,
And I have my ego running things,
And I'm judging this.
It's so European and Westernized to do that.
We know it's not nice.
We don't enjoy it,
But we do it.
It's a God system.
Nothing wrong with it.
It's just how we're brought up.
Me too.
All of us are brought up this way.
Being in the body,
Feeling it.
It's so cool.
That's number one that I mentioned today.
Feeling in the body.
The second power center,
As I call it in my book,
Power centers,
Feeling the body,
And feeling the stomach,
The fire in your stomach.
Feel your fire.
Otherwise,
Your fire will mess you up.
It will turn into intellectual living.
Hey,
I'm intellectual.
I'm very smart.
I'm better than you.
I'm going to think of a great argument to say,
I'm going to try and outsmart you.
No,
No one likes that person.
We don't even like that part of ourselves.
It doesn't feel good.
Fire though,
Fiery confidence feels good.
We like to see other people that are like that,
Don't we?
We get impressed by ourselves.
So,
Sacral center,
The stomach center,
Which I just call core in my book,
And then the throat we went through today,
Using it like an instrument.
People mention my voice quite a lot,
And I even train people on speaking well.
So another thing that I'll do with people is help people to become powerful,
Free speakers.
Not performing monkeys on stage,
But free speakers.
Being free,
And that actually makes people brilliant on a stage if they want to be,
Right?
Or just with everyday life,
In a relationship,
With friends and family,
Sharing the truth,
Being you,
Right?
So we went through those three things today.
I talked about Kundalini.
I talked about my experience with it.
It doesn't have to be this mystical thing that you only read from yogis.
In India,
It's not this thing that you might see very popularized and westernized these days about,
Hey,
There's a Kundalini activation process that will,
You know,
It's well marketed now these days.
So be wary what you take in,
Please.
I'm not trying to judge anyone else or try to take you away from anyone else.
I want you to learn and see what's out there,
Right?
I want everyone to teach and share,
But just look at what you're teaching and what you're taking in when it comes to Kundalini because Kundalini is a very precious,
Sacred subject,
To me anyway.
It's passed down from lineages of Indian yogis to me.
How lucky I am to feel this now,
To be a voice of this.
And I want you guys to feel the authenticity that I've shared today and take these authentic points and try them.
Try them,
Right?
Try them.
Practice with your tools.
See what's in your way.
See what's stopping you.
See where Kundalini is getting turned into anger and resentment and overthinking.
That means it's not balanced well.
That's what it means.
There's not a balancing.
It's not free-flowing.
There's a blockage getting in the way of it.
That will be looked at.
It has to be looked at.
I've looked at all of my blocks,
All of them.
There's still some things that come up.
I'm still working on things,
You know?
I'm proud to be working on things because I'll notice there's another level to this now.
Ooh,
There's another level to how I can use my voice.
Ooh,
There's another level to how intimate I can be.
Ooh,
Okay.
Another level to how heartful I can be.
Wow,
Okay.
So these power centers,
They keep giving and giving and giving,
And I'm not as confused and stuck as I was before.
I can't even imagine being like that now because it was a nightmare,
To be honest.
So yeah,
