This guided meditation is designed to help you tune in to and connect with your mind, body and emotions to deepen your self-awareness and achieve inner balance. By pausing to acknowledge your inner world with curiosity and compassion, you can then make conscious and intentional choices that foster an improved sense of well-being, nurture self-care and develop a deeper sense of self-awareness. Practice daily or anytime you are feeling a little ungrounded, stressed or overwhelmed.

Welcome to this daily self check in.

This is an opportunity for you to slow down and check in with your mind body and emotions.

To really tune in to what's going on for you right here in this moment to get grounded get present and reconnect with yourself.

Start by getting yourself into a comfortable seated position somewhere where you won't be disturbed.

Once you're comfortable gently close your eyes and tune in to your breath.

And just notice the rhythm of your breathing as you inhale and exhale.

Place one hand over your chest and one hand over your belly.

And just notice the movement of your breath as it flows through your body.

Are you breathing fast or slow?

Is your breathing shallow or deep?

Just notice this with gentle curiosity not judging it in any way.

Often when we're feeling anxious or stressed you might find that you're breathing faster that your breath is more shallow and you're breathing from your chest.

Just being aware of this can help us make adjustments to bring ourselves back into a centered place.

And now let's take a moment to tune into your mind.

Imagine you're observing your thoughts floating by in front of you like clouds passing through the sky.

Just notice each thought as it passes by and ask yourself what's going on for me in my mind today?

What do I notice about my thoughts today?

Notice any recurring thoughts or patterns.

Continuing to observe each thought passing through your mind and just allowing it to be without attaching to it.

And now let's tune in to your body.

Start to scan each part of your body from your head all the way down to your neck,

Your shoulders,

Down to your toes and just notice any sensations in your body.

You might notice feelings of tightness,

Tension,

Discomfort,

Tingling or warmth.

And if you notice any tightness or tension whatever the case might be just allow yourself to breathe into that sensation giving it permission to relax.

And now let's tune in to your emotions.

How are you feeling today?

Emotions are simply energy in motion.

They are temporary and ever changing.

They are messengers alerting us towards something that we may need to pay attention to.

And just like the waves of the ocean they will run their course and dissipate naturally if we allow them to.

And as you turn your attention towards your emotions just notice what they feel like in your body and allow yourself to experience it fully.

Where do you feel the emotion in your body?

What does it look like?

Does it have a color?

Is there a texture to it?

Does it have a temperature?

Allow yourself to turn towards it with compassion and just let it know I'm here for you.

I see you.

And as you turn towards the sensation of the emotion in your body ask yourself what is this emotion trying to tell me?

What do I need to feel supported and nurtured today?

What words do you need to hear most?

And know that you have the answers within you and just allow those answers to come through.

And once you've heard what you need to hear take a few slow deep gentle breaths.

Lengthening the exhale allowing your body and mind to relax.

And now bring to mind something that you're grateful for in your life right now.

Slowly tune into that feeling of gratitude as you picture this in your mind's eye.

And as we near the end of this self check-in set yourself an intention to take care of yourself today.

What practical steps can you take to support your mind,

Body and emotions today?

Visualize yourself embodying this intention and taking those steps.

And now gently open your eyes and bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Wiggling your toes or having a little stretch.

Thank you for joining me on this self check-in journey today.

Take a moment to express gratitude for this time that you've set aside for self reflection.

You might wish to journal anything that came up for you during this practice.

And just know that any time you're feeling a little unsettled,

Ungrounded,

Stressed or overwhelmed you can return back to this audio to reconnect with yourself.

Take care of your mind,

Body and spirit sending you lots and lots of love and positive energy for the rest of your day.
