The power of connection. A sense of belonging fueled by empathy is key for a team to perform at its best. In this meditation, we'll practice how to develop our empathy by cultivating positive emotions by sending good wishes to other people and to ourselves.

Let's begin our practice by finding a meditation posture that allows you to be alert and relaxed at the same time.

Keeping the back straight but not tense,

Relaxing the shoulders and if you want you may close your eyes or leave them open,

It's up to you,

Whatever comes natural and comfortable to you.

Today we are going to practice wishing ourselves and others well.

So let's begin this practice by taking a deep breath in and a long and slow breath out.

At this time bring to your mind someone that you care about,

Someone that you have a good relationship with,

Bring that person to your mind and we are going to send good wishes to this person.

I'm going to say some phrases,

You can use those phrases or you can create your own,

Whatever is more meaningful to you.

By bringing this person to your mind let's send some wishes to this person.

May you be happy,

May you be well,

May you be healthy.

Very good,

Very good,

Very well.

Now with the same sense of care and empathy that we display by sending good wishes to this person that we care about,

We are going to do the same but with ourselves.

We are going to send good wishes to ourselves.

And again I'm going to say some phrases,

You can use these phrases or you can choose whatever comes natural and is more meaningful to you.

May I be happy,

May I be well,

May I be healthy.

And just for a moment sense how that feels in your body,

In your emotional state by sending good wishes to someone that you care about and by sending good wishes to yourself.

Hope that you have enjoyed this short practice.

Thank you very much for practicing with me.

Thank you.
