Steadiness. It's something that we search for - to become more grounded, calmer, more graceful. In steadiness of breath, and keeping the mind still, we can find this together. All you need is a quiet space and 5 minutes to bring yourself into a more centered place.

Take a deep inhale breath and a deep exhale.

And just take a moment to arrive.

Take a moment to let your mind and body remember this place.

To settle in.

Get comfortable.

Inhale one deep breath with me.

And exhale to let it go.

Today's mudra is called the earth mudra.

The earth mudra is just simply connecting your thumb with your ring finger.

Watch as maybe things settle down.

And as you join your thumb to your index finger and you use this mudra your body settles into the earth just that little bit more.

This is a mudra to ground you.

To find stability.

Let your breath resonate with that.

Allow your exhale to guide your shoulders into a more relaxed state away from your ears.

Allow your spine to relax with your breath.

Energizing slightly on your inhale.

Letting go on your exhale.

This mudra helps us resonate a little closer with the idea of rooting down.

Not dissimilar to a plant in the ground.

This idea of reaching the roots deeper into our breath where there is nourishment and food.

And the quiet and the space is our food.

This stability,

This grounding allows us to grow.

This depth of our exhale allows the inhale to reach up a little further.

Take three deep breaths here.

Feeling that as you inhale there is an opening and as you exhale there is a settling,

A resting,

A groundedness.

Take one more nice deep inhale.

Suspend the breath at the top just briefly and exhale long.

You are here,

You are grounded and you have a steadiness in your breath,

Your body and your mind.

On your next exhale,

Gently release your mudra.

Turn your palms over and gently but steadily press your hands into your thighs.

Perhaps even walking your hands up your thighs,

Pressing down gently.

Imagine you could press yourself into the ground just a little bit more encouraging,

Encouraging that stability,

Steadiness,

Groundedness.

Take an inhale to flip the hands over,

Palms face up and stay here for as long as you feel.

Steady in your breath,

Steady in your mind.
