So start to become aware of the breath entering and leaving the nostrils.
Noticing if the breath coming in is light or heavy or slow or fast.
And sense that the breath,
The particles of the breath,
The air coming in is light.
So as you breathe in through the nostrils,
You're breathing in light.
And as you breathe out through the nostrils,
You're breathing out light.
Perhaps you'd like to imagine that you're sitting in a ray of light as the sun is rising.
Just like how you can see particles of dust in the light.
Imagine that that air coming in,
It's like fragments of light coming in through the nostrils,
Coming all the way down to the lungs.
And as you exhale,
You're breathing out light.
And at the same time,
You're sitting in a circle of light.
And you're breathing in light and breathing out light.
As you're breathing light in and out of your lungs,
Imagine your lungs filling with light.
And as you breathe out that light,
Imagine that light spilling out till it surrounds your whole body.
So as you breathe in the light,
The internal light increases.
And as you breathe out the light,
The external light increases.
So there's nothing but light moving in and moving out.
Light exchanging itself for light.
Maybe you notice that the light moves beyond the lungs as you breathe in and you can feel it filtering through your whole body.
And as you breathe out,
Maybe you can sense how the light expands beyond your body into the space around you.
But whatever's happening,
Really go with the images or the sensations that come to you.
You don't want to force the experience.
It just is light moving in,
Light moving out.
Until you sense the boundary between in and out dissolving and it's just light breathing light,
Breathing in light,
Light breathing out light.
And the light that surrounds you and is in you just gets brighter and brighter.
And as you breathe in this light coming from in and out,
Just feel its warmth,
Its generosity.
And also feel how this light engenders confidence and strength and ability to withstand any challenges.
So that whatever meets you in these next moments,
Perhaps at the end of this session,
There's nothing but energy and light available at your disposal.
Pure Tejas,
Pure radiance.
Purest light being the light of yourself.
The light of consciousness,
Lighting up every thought,
Every idea.
And then slowly just bring your awareness back just to the breath.
Knowing that that light doesn't go anywhere.
That light is continuous because there's always light lighting up every thought,
Every experience,
Every situation.
As you deepen your breath,
See if you can become aware of your sitting bones wherever you're sitting.
Becoming aware of your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calf muscles,
Your shins and your feet.
Maybe wiggling your toes a little bit.
And then when you're ready,
Just slowly coming back,
Opening your eyes.
And just bringing your palms to touch,
Letting your head bow.
Just honoring what you feel right now.
Just reconnecting with that light that never extinguishes.
