You're going to want to make a fist with your right hand and extend your thumb and your ring finger and your little finger and draw your elbow close in.

Let your chin drop and as you breathe in through your left nostril,

Visualize that you're breathing in silver moonlight.

So breathing in silver moonlight through the left nostril.

When you reach the top of that inhalation,

Close both nostrils,

Just hold the breath.

And then gently breathe silver moonlight out through your right nostril.

When you reach the end of your exhalation,

Breathing in through the right nostril,

Breathing in golden sunlight.

At the top of the inhalation,

Holding both nostrils closed and then breathing out through the left nostril,

Breathing out golden sunlight.

And we'll do this a few more rounds.

So breathing in through the left nostril,

Breathing in silver moonlight,

Holding the breath and then gently breathing out when you're ready,

Silver moonlight through the right nostril.

And then when you're ready,

Breathing in through that right nostril,

Breathing in golden sunlight.

At the top of the inhalation,

Holding the breath and breathing out through the left nostril,

Breathing out that golden sunlight.

Just do one more round on your own.

Breathing in silver moonlight through the left nostril,

Hold,

Block both as you feel comfortable and breathing out silver moonlight.

And then breathing in golden sunlight,

Holding the breath and breathing out golden sunlight.

And then just gently completing that exhalation,

You can bring your hands down.

Feel yourself letting go of the image of silver and gold moving through the body and just sit quietly noticing how you feel.

Now imagine that you're standing at the base of a mountain and see a path leading up the mountain surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful flowers.

And begin your ascent step by step,

Feeling the solid ground beneath your feet as you make your way up.

As you climb higher,

Notice the change in the air,

How it becomes somehow cleaner and cooler.

And notice the feeling of the air on your face and the warmth of the sun on your skin.

As you continue up the path,

You begin to hear the distant rumble of thunder and you see those flashes of lightning in the sky.

When you reach the top of the mountain,

You just feel that you need to sit down.

So sit down wherever it seems comfortable and observe this incredible display of lightning illuminating the sky.

And begin to sense how the power of the lightning storm is not just external to you,

But that power is you,

Mirrored in the indestructible nature of your awareness.

No matter how much the lightning flashes,

That by which you see the lightning hasn't faltered.

As you observe the lightning,

Sense how powerful your body is,

That that power of light is truly shining from the inside out.

Now as the rain starts to fall,

Imagine the softness of each raindrop touching your face,

Nourishing and refreshing.

Feel that the water is permeating every cell of your body.

Notice how it makes you feel.

Notice which areas of your body are particularly nourished by the sensation of water.

Feel that sensation traveling through your whole body.

Now shift your awareness to the power of Indra,

This great father deity associated with lightning and storms.

And visualize yourself as that strength and determination and courage.

Feel that power alive as you.

Feel it as a sense of empowerment.

And then at the same time as you feel that strength,

That impenetrable nature,

You feel the softness of that single raindrop.

And this is Shakti,

The divine feminine force.

Feel the softness,

The gentleness,

The compassion and the creativity of Shakti as yourself.

And allow these two energies to swirl and blend within you.

And notice how that feels.

Are there sensations?

Are there images?

Are there thoughts?

See if you can capture the essence of what comes to mind or what you feel.

Maybe it's a word,

A phrase,

An inner mantra that you can repeat.

Just something that encapsulates that feeling of the energy of Indra and the energy of Shakti,

The strength and the softness swirling and combining together within you,

Knowing that you are nothing but strength and you are nothing but softness and they're inseparably part of each other.

So really bask for a moment in that feeling of strength and softness.

Notice how it feels to sense both your changeless nature and the changes that are moving through you in an endless flow.

And perhaps there's a seed of an idea that comes to mind or something that needs strength in your life or strengthening in your life.

And whatever arises,

Let that be the seed of your intention for this month.

Let that be your sankalpa,

Whatever arises out of this dance of strength and softness.

And then when you're ready,

Just let those images go.

Just come back to your body,

Come back to your breath.

May you feel your breath in your belly.

And then gently open your eyes.
