Welcome to this talk that I have titled The Powerful Sensitive,

The Blessing of Being the Energy You Are.

This gift of feeling is not with emotions necessarily,

But the essence behind things.

Emotions like thoughts can kind of rise up from the states of feelings,

But these feelings really are something deeper.

These feelings and sensations are like worlds,

And maybe you have this natural ability to feel into these worlds,

To sense into these worlds,

And then they can coalesce around you.

What a gift.

To be so sensitive,

We can sometimes feel like we need to harden ourselves,

But we can begin to learn to not harden ourselves,

As hardening ourselves can restrict the flow,

The true flow of your true power.

So instead,

We begin to learn to let things go with grace,

Let things flow,

And to allow things to shape and take form and expression around us with equal grace.

And by tuning into this essence behind all things that runs so powerfully through you,

This can be effortless.

Perhaps you have always felt yourself to be extra sensitive.

One of my earliest memories is being told I was too sensitive.

And I remember it hurting and internally immediately questioning,

What is wrong with me?

There must be something very wrong with me.

Well,

What if there's nothing wrong with me?

And what if there's nothing wrong with you?

Nothing is wrong.

It's hard to think,

It can appear so sometimes,

But being sensitive,

You sense and integrate things more deeply.

You sense everything with more ease.

You feel things more deeply,

You attune more easily,

Good,

Bad,

Even peacefulness.

And perhaps in this world and throughout your life,

You've been taught that this is wrong.

It's a bad way to be,

Maybe even a dangerous way to be.

It's some kind of hindrance problem that you have,

That you have to deal with,

That makes your way of being naturally and functioning in this world a little bit different.

So of course you would end up thinking,

Well,

There's something wrong with me.

I have to do things differently.

I'm a problem.

I have to change something that's naturally lovely in me,

That's naturally a gift to make others more comfortable,

To not be left out,

To not be overlooked or forgotten,

To not have to make other people feel too much,

Even though I'm here feeling everything for everyone.

And when you begin to look at it like that,

It seems kind of sad and it seems kind of silly.

And it's just a misperception,

But it can be a very painful one.

And so maybe you were told all of this and taught all of this,

That there's something wrong with you,

Whether it was spoken or unspoken,

And you simply accepted it as true.

Why wouldn't you?

That became your truth.

But what if it's not?

What if it's not the truth?

Maybe you took on the role of an empath and ended up feeling drained with no real stability or tools in how to handle,

How to handle all of the sensations and energies that you naturally feel.

You can feel swamped and overwhelmed.

And then you begin to think that this is just your role to suffer,

To transmute for others at your own expense.

And you can end up feeling very unsafe,

Very alone,

Very unsafe in these sensations and feelings and battered around like a leaf on the breeze.

Maybe you naturally fell into more people-pleasing roles,

As others seem to have it more together,

Quote unquote,

By society's standards.

And they seem to find things easier than you.

And so maybe you felt you have to adapt and change,

Suppress,

To be in accordance with others,

To be loved and accepted.

But again,

What if that isn't true?

What if who and what you are and how you are,

This expression of you is perfect by divine design and that you are supposed to be who you are,

Unapologetically and beautifully.

This can seem daunting when we are so used to another way of being.

But what if you already have all of the tools,

All of the knowing of how to be authentically you,

Right there within you,

Already built in.

You've just kind of hidden them from yourself in trying to protect yourself.

What if validating yourself and your own nature causes a ripple effect in your world,

Where others are now more able to see you and appreciate you for all of the beauty and magic that you are.

What if you appreciating you for all that you are,

Enables others to appreciate you deeper and deeper?

What if it's like a silent opening to a portal of understanding?

Because what if we are all one big tapestry of moving,

Breathing differences that perfectly fit together like one big jigsaw puzzle and you are meant to be exactly as sensitive as you are.

Invalidating and nurturing your own sensitivity is not wrong,

Not bad.

We can allow it more space to breathe,

To unfold without inflicting judgment and shame upon ourselves.

And just as we may naturally be in tune with sensing the weather turning before it does,

This gift of being has its own perfect place in perfect harmony.

And the world can sometimes seem,

It is trying to fit us all into small,

Narrow boxes and tunnels of those seemingly functioning or healed or normal,

Successful and those that are not.

But again,

What if that is not the case?

It's just a misperception.

It's just how things appear.

Simply beginning to question this can allow more space for other possibilities to be revealed.

So you can begin to honor your own space and place in the world,

Even in the face of those who don't know and don't understand.

What if others not understanding you immediately or at all is okay?

What if that is a gift they need?

What if others not understanding you is completely okay and it's not your job to make them understand or fix anything?

And it's not to say that this gift of sensitivity makes you extra special and adds all this pressure to you.

I know I've felt that sometimes,

But more that it is just perfect as it is.

It's welcomed as it is.

Just as someone else's way of being is perfect for them and perfect for the whole.

So maybe you need more sanctuary and restoration and a different way of being and living than someone else.

So why is that wrong?

Why would that be wrong?

Who says that's wrong?

What do you say?

Maybe you feel things more deeply than others.

And maybe it makes other people uncomfortable sometimes.

So who says that's wrong?

Is everyone else making you more comfortable all of the time?

Who decided that was bad?

What do you say deep within?

How can you being you be wrong?

The more you can let others misunderstanding you or anything be okay,

Knowing this gentle truth of you is perfect,

The more and more liberation you can find and experience.

And the more your gifts are able to flow and flourish.

Give yourself full permission to be.

You are an important and sacred part of the whole.

And however that looks and however unfolds is fine.

In fact,

It's perfect.

You are needed.

You must be just by being here,

By being you.

Direct your gifts of sensitivity and attunement to yourself just as lovingly as you do for others,

Just as willingly as you do for others.

Knowing you are not wrong for doing so.

You are meant to.

What if you're meant to enjoy and bask in your own energy and your own experience?

Why wouldn't you be?

Why wouldn't you be allowed to enjoy being you to enjoy being?

Again,

It's just a misperception.

So I just wanted to remind you that you are sacred and important,

Even in the quietness.

Because it's so easy to forget when we feel overwhelmed and we can forget to even take the time to care for ourselves and nurture ourselves a little bit more.

Maybe we need some extra care in different ways than other people.

Maybe we need more space.

That's okay.

What if that's okay?

What if there is nothing you need to fix or change about yourself?

Instead,

You can just welcome in more acceptance and more loving grace within yourself.

In this sense,

We can allow our energy more safety,

More expansion,

And more space to allow ourselves to be and to allow those who don't understand right now to simply just not understand.

For just by being,

You are serving a beautiful role.

And maybe it seems a more passive role or less productive by society standards.

But again,

So?

The world is constantly changing.

Things are never solid,

Always shifting.

And those you touch with your sensitivity and grace will never forget it.

You sensing and feeling and even expressing allows others the space and permission to do so.

It gives others the silent permission to feel their own sensitivities,

To tune into their own dreams,

Their own worlds of imagination.

You embracing your sensitivities allows it to become active and welcomed in others in their own way.

Giving space and grace to yourself gives others the permission to do so too for themselves and for you.

And it also gives them a silent invitation to honor you with more respect.

A silent invitation,

Like a silent communion happening.

You hold gently to your knowing within and that is what you nurture and prioritize.

And this is an embracing of the completeness,

The wholeness,

The perfection that you already inherently are.

To see the broken parts and wounds as simply misperceptions.

For seeing the divine perfection in yourself again also welcomes this to be recognized in others.

We are all always connected.

And how beautiful it is to be able to feel things so deeply,

To naturally attune with nature,

To connect with art and music with so much ease to sense and see and feel beauty in all its ways.

This spirit of love and life running through all that's running through you,

That's so vibrant and alive and enhanced through you.

And I want to tell you,

You are not weak.

You have to be naturally strong to even be so sensitive.

Trust me,

I know.

And it can take some courage to begin to honor yourself before others do,

Before the world does.

When their love and acceptance at first seems invisible,

But it will not remain invisible forever.

The more you love and honor yourself,

The more others will effortlessly reflect this.

The more you tune in to your gifts and love them and enjoy them,

It's important to enjoy them,

The more others will see and appreciate and feel it too.

And the more energy you will have to hold space gracefully for others in your experience to flow and tune in to the most loving versions of people and life.

You may be called a dreamer,

But we are dreaming a new dream.

And that is a gift of this dream within a dream.

You are in tune with the invisible worlds and currents running through all.

You see with eyes beyond physical vision.

You sense the depths of the experience beyond the surface level.

Do you see how wonderful that is?

Do you see it even if no one else can?

First and foremost,

That's important.

It can feel so crushing to not be understood,

But the silent harmony of your nature,

Your true nature is ever present,

Just awaiting acknowledgement and there to be melted into the world of others.

Melted back into like a warm embrace for you are needed just for being you.

All you have to do is be.

Tend to your sensitivities when you need to.

It's okay.

Notice when you feel overwhelmed and the need for sanctuary and know that that is okay and you're right to do so without question.

Like a tender being within,

Calling out for encouragement and rest in order to bloom even more beautifully.

All of the different expressions of all of the flowers in nature are all welcomed,

All beautiful and all a part of making up the whole.

I feel we are moving into a time and space where this grace and sensitivity will be so necessary,

Even more than it already has been,

And that it will be honored for just how sacred it really is.

And while that may remain invisible at times,

You are a part of it and you are allowed and encouraged to make it visible and felt for others.

But you have to feel it for yourself first.

There is nothing wrong with you.

You are the powerful sensitive and really,

Your soul sees all and needs no other to see it,

But they will.

It may touch others in a dream,

In the reflection of sunlight on water or the dimming tones and sounds of twilight,

But it is ever present just as you are.

I invite you to spend some time reflecting on this in silence,

In any way that feels natural to you,

For your gift of sensitivity allows you access to this beautiful intuition to know what is best for you,

Even if others don't understand or if they tell you otherwise.

You know that you know.

So tune in,

Within,

In this landscape of you,

Rebuilding this trust within yourself,

Like you are the altar you return to.

And I invite you to return to this reminder whenever you need it,

As I also often return to remind myself.

Thank you for this talk Rachel. I too was told as a child growing up that I was too sensitive. I felt things very deeply. Growing a harder exterior around me, I've lost some of those abilities I had as a kid. May we always encourage sensitivities in children as they grow into adulthood. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’™πŸ«‚πŸŒ€πŸ’™πŸ™πŸΌ
