Good morning and welcome to a meditation to tend to your fire.
This is your internal fire that controls the digestion of your food,
Thoughts,
Emotions,
And anything else that you consume throughout your day.
Sometimes when we sleep we don't fully digest all of the things.
So this morning we will call upon a pranayama technique called breath of fire to continue to burn away any residual consumption of thoughts,
Emotions,
And food.
Begin by taking a comfortable seat,
Crossing at your ankles or shins.
You're welcome to lean against a wall.
Or if you prefer to be in a seat,
Place the soles of the feet firmly on the ground and sit up tall.
Gently close your eyes and begin to find your natural breath.
Breath of fire,
Kapalabhati breath,
Is a forced exhale which naturally pumps the belly.
If at any point during these three rounds of Kapalabhati you find it too overwhelming,
Return to your natural breath.
We will do three rounds with 50 rounds of breath each.
Begin to take a deep breath in through your nose and out of your nose.
Now about halfway capacity and begin forcing out exhales.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Two more.
Last one.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Inhale halfway.
Second round.
Deep breath in and out.
Again.
Last time.
Inhale halfway.
Last round.
Deep breath in.
Open the mouth.
Seal the lips and just notice the difference.
You might feel a lightness all over your body,
A slight vibration of your skin.
Allow yourself to experience this now.
Meditating on the new energy that you've created through this simple and effective pranayama of Kapalabhati.
Use this practice whenever you feel residual emotions,
Thoughts,
Food,
Anything that you feel like you can release with ease.
And when you're ready,
Begin to blink your eyes open and come back to your space.
Thank you for joining me in this morning meditation.
Have a beautiful day.
