Hi,

It's Rachel and I am so happy that you have chosen to spend this brief time with me to enter into some deep rest.

Deep,

Peaceful,

Nourishing rest.

So we'll start by lying down.

This is a meditation to help you access the most peaceful place so that you can slip into rest and deep sleep.

So once you have laid down,

Just take a moment and notice,

Notice how you're feeling.

Just notice.

There is nothing wrong with how you feel,

However you feel,

There is nothing wrong.

They're just feelings.

And now once you've checked in with that,

I'd like you to drop in to notice your breath.

Don't change it or fix it.

It doesn't need to be fixed or changed.

Just notice.

Notice the inhale and the exhale.

Notice how your breath is rocking you.

Now by the power of suggestion,

Start to invite your body to let go by synchronizing two words.

As you inhale,

Think the word let.

And as you exhale,

Think the word go.

Give yourself permission to begin to let go of any tension,

Doubt or pain.

Relax.

By your own invitation of surrender,

Let go of any tension.

Give it permission to float away like little cotton puffs floating over a large field,

Floating farther and farther away from you.

Feel the support under you holding you.

Feel that you are safe.

You are safe.

You are protected.

And remain just for a little while more watching the breath.

Inhale let,

Exhale go.

Now bring your attention to the muscles along your back.

And start to relax them.

Feel the muscles along your upper back,

Then middle back and then low back begin to melt and soften.

And allow the hips to melt and soften.

And traveling your awareness down your thighs,

Tops and back of thighs,

Allowing the muscles to melt.

Continuing down to your calves and your shins.

Feel the ankles melt.

Feel your feet,

Both the tops of your feet and the soles of your feet melt.

And feel your toes relax.

Now bring your attention back up the body to your chest and shoulders and feel the muscles right here begin to let go and soften.

Feel your upper arms,

Then the elbows,

Then the forearms relax.

Melting down to your hands and fingers,

Tension floating away out your fingers far away from you.

Now bring your attention to your neck,

Your throat,

Feel the neck relax.

Now to the back of your skull,

Up the back of your head,

Floating to the scalp and then down the forehead,

Nose and cheeks,

Lips and then jaw.

And feel your face let go of all tension.

Feel the muscles of your face relax and melt.

Let go,

You are ok.

Allow any tension that may be lingering in the body to dissolve.

Imagine you are a snake whose skin is old and tired and now start to feel yourself shed your outer,

Tense skin.

And feel once that skin has been shed your beautiful,

Soft,

Easy,

Gentle body.

Allow yourself to melt.

Now imagine a beautiful,

Soft,

Golden light above your head.

See this warm,

Gold light surrounding the crown of your head.

Start to feel the loving energy of this light envelop you,

Surround you,

Move down inside you and all around you.

The golden light is protecting you.

You are protected.

And feel your mind now soft and quiet,

Resting in love,

In safety.

You are being held and soothed and protected by this beautiful golden light.

You are relaxed.

You are at peace.

You are at peace.
