Let's begin meditation with a breath,

Taking a big deep inhale and a long slow exhale.

Just letting everything go that's brought you up until this point.

Breathing out stress and tension.

Breathing in a sense of calm.

Allow your body to drop.

Melting a little bit deeper into the surface beneath you.

And scanning through your body.

Starting at your head.

Just noticing any sensations down through your neck and your shoulders.

Your arms and your torso.

Your hips.

And all the way down your legs.

Feeling pain or sensations throughout your body without judgment.

Then I want you to repeat to yourself either out loud or silently.

I am healthy and strong.

I am safe.

There is nothing to fear.

I am healthy and strong.

I am safe.

There is nothing to fear.

I am healthy and strong.

I am safe.

There is nothing to fear.

Placing in these messages of hope and letting go of pain and worry.

And then placing one or two hands over your chest at your heart.

I want you to talk to that primitive part of your body as if it were a little child.

Speaking to the area of your brain that controls pain and automatic functions.

Considering your inner child.

Maybe the child has fallen or hurt themselves.

What would you say to that child?

Maybe you'd say,

You'll be okay.

There is nothing to fear.

You're going to get better.

Turning those messages inward.

Speaking to your inner child.

You'll be okay.

There is nothing to fear.

You will get better.

Letting these messages sink into your soul.

Allowing pain and tension to just melt out into the surface beneath you.

Letting go of fear and worry.

Letting go of tension.

Scanning back down through the body.

Seeing how much more calm and peaceful your body feels.

Releasing pain and tension.

Breathing in a sense of hope for things to get better.

And breathing out pain.

Coming back into the room.

Allowing that sense of hope to stay with you throughout the rest of your day.

Namaste.
