Qi Energy Balance: Part Three
A guided Qigong meditation that helps you to feel at ease and let go of tension whilst regulating your heart and small intestine energy pathways (meridians). Gain new energy during this journey through your meridians. You may want to lie down for this practice, but it also works if you sit down. This meditation has been influenced by my Qigong Master Jumin Chen from the Chen Akademie. Background music: Daydreams by Christopher Lloyd Clark - Licensed by Enlightened Audio.

Thank you for taking the time to look after yourself.
Relax and enjoy the following Qigong meditation.
Make yourself comfortable and lie relaxed on your back.
Your arms by your side with palms facing upwards.
If you prefer,
You can pull up your legs.
In Qigong we say that we lie down like a bow,
Like a narrow bow without a bowstring.
Totally relaxed.
Put your tongue behind your upper front teeth,
Relax your tongue and smile gently.
Breathe into your belly.
Take a deep breath in and out again.
Think calm when breathing in and relaxed when breathing out.
Breathing in and out.
Calm and relaxed.
Now imagine you're lying in an empty stream bed.
The ground is comfortable and soft.
Take a deep breath in and whilst you are breathing out,
You can feel the warm water of the stream flowing down your body.
The water level of the stream is very low and it is just touching your body gently.
Once you are breathing out,
The water is gone and you slowly breathe in again.
And when breathing out,
The next gentle wave of warm water is touching you.
Breathing in and out again with the warm water.
The warm water feels nice and you can relax completely.
Let all the tension go with the warm water.
Breathing in again and the next gentle wave is flowing down.
Enjoy the waves for a moment.
Breathing in and out again.
Breathing in and out again.
Breathing in and out again.
You have all the time in the world.
You have nowhere to go and nothing to do right now.
Other than relax and enjoy the time for yourself.
Take a deep breath in and let all the tension go.
Let it just go.
In today's practice,
We will focus on regulating your chi.
Chi could be described as your vital energy,
The life force that underlies our bodies,
Minds,
Hearts and spirits.
We have several energy pathways,
So called meridians,
That flow through our body.
For now,
We'll focus on the heart and small intestine meridians.
Both meridians are connected.
The heart is the emperor and is responsible for the clarity of our mind.
It governs the blood and monitors our blood vessels.
The heart is the home of our consciousness and its emotion is joy.
The small intestine is the minister of reception.
It is responsible for abundance and is the source of transformation of all substances.
Let's start now to regulate the flow of those two meridians.
First,
We'll start with a self-massage of the heart meridian.
Rub your hands together for a while until they're warm.
Now with your right hand,
Start to massage your left arm.
Start by touching the inner side of your little finger and stroke it with the palm of your right hand.
Move up on the inside of your forearm,
Upper arm and move to your lung.
Then back down again on the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and over the inner side of your little finger.
Repeat by touching the inner side of your little finger and stroke it with the palm.
Move up on the inside of your forearm,
Upper arm and move to your lung.
Then back down again on the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and over the inner side of your little finger.
Now do the same with your left hand on your right arm.
Start by touching the inner side of your little finger and stroke it with the palm of your left hand.
Move up on the inside of your forearm,
Upper arm and to your lung.
Then back down again on the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and over the inner side of your little finger.
Repeat by touching the inner side of your little finger,
Moving up your forearm,
Upper arm and into your lung.
And down again your upper arm,
Forearm and out again on the inside of your little finger.
Now let's go through the heart meridian with our imagination and by breathing only.
Start by breathing in through the inner side of both of your little fingers,
Up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs.
Breathe out and in your imagination move down your upper arms,
Forearms and out on the inside of your little fingers.
And again breathe in through the inner side of both of your little fingers,
Moving up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs.
Breathe out and move down your upper arms,
Forearms and out again on the inside of your little fingers.
Repeat this for a couple of times.
Breathe in through the inner side of your fingers,
Out through the inner side of your fingers,
Out through the inner side of your fingers.
Now let's focus on the small intestine meridian.
Let's start with a massage.
With your right hand start massaging your left arm.
Start by touching the upper side of your little finger and touch it with the palm of your right hand.
And move up your forearm,
Upper arm and to your lung.
Then back down again over your upper arm,
Forearm and over the upper side of your little finger.
Repeat this by touching the upper side of your little finger,
Moving up your forearm,
Upper arm and into your lung.
And then back down again over your upper arm,
Forearm and over the upper side of your little finger.
Now do the same with your left hand on your right arm.
Start by touching the upper side of your little finger and touch it with the palm of your left hand.
And move up your forearm,
Upper arm and to your lung.
Then back down again over your upper arm,
Forearm and over the upper side of your little finger.
Repeat this by touching the upper side of your little finger,
Moving up your forearm,
Upper arm and to your lung.
Then back down again your upper arm,
Forearm and out again on the upper side of your little finger.
Now let's go through the small intestine meridian with our breath and imagination.
Breathe into the upper side of both of your little fingers,
Moving up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs.
Breathe out again and in your imagination move down your upper arms,
Forearms and out on top of your little fingers.
And again breathe into the upper side of both of your little fingers,
Move up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs.
Breathe out again and move down your upper arms,
Forearms and out again on top of your little fingers.
Repeat this for a couple of times.
Breathe in and out.
Now let's connect the two meridians by moving from the upper side of your little finger to the lung and down again on the inside of your arm and out through the inner side of your little finger.
Rub your hands again.
Start with your left hand and touch your upper side of your little finger and move up your forearm,
Upper arm,
Into your lung,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and out through the inside of your little finger.
Once again,
Touch the upper side of your little finger,
Move up your forearm,
Upper arm and into your lung,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.
Now massage the right arm with your left hand,
Touch your upper side of your little finger and move up your forearm,
Upper arm and into your lung,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.
Once again,
Touch the upper side of your little finger,
Move up your forearm,
Upper arm and into your lung,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,
Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.
Now let's do the same with just imagination and breathing.
Breathe in through the upper side of both of your little fingers,
Up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arms,
Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.
And again,
Breathe in through the upper side of both of your little fingers,
Moving up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arms,
Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.
Now imagine you are breathing in red energetic air that brings you new energy.
The air moves in through the upper sides of your little fingers,
Up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arms,
Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.
And the red energetic air moves in again through the upper sides of your little fingers,
Up your forearms,
Upper arms and into your lungs,
Then out again through the inside of your upper arms,
Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.
Repeat this for a couple of times.
.
.
.
.
Now just relax and breathe in,
Calm and out again,
Relaxed and in again and out again.
Your chi is in a flow and you can just relax and enjoy the moment.
In a moment you will hear the sound of a bell.
The sound will gently guide you back to where you are.
.
.
Now gently come back to where you are.
Slowly move your fingers and toes,
Gently stretch your arms,
Take a deep breath into your belly and slowly out again.
Before we get back to our day,
Let's treat ourselves to a re-energizing head massage.
With the fingertips of both hands,
Massage your scalp.
Start at your forehead and with your circling fingers,
Gently massage your scalp by moving slowly from the forehead on the sides of your head to the back of your head.
Once you have reached your neck,
Start again at the forehead.
Repeat this for a couple of times.
Now take another deep breath in,
Calm and out again,
Relaxed.
Have a magical day!
