A guided Qigong practice that helps you to feel at ease and let go of tension whilst regulating various energy pathways (meridians) through imagination and self-massage. Gain new energy during this journey through your meridians. You may want to sit down for this practice, but it also works if you lie down. Thank you for being here and taking time for yourself.

Make yourself comfortable and sit on a cushion or a chair with your spine erect.

It also works if you lie down.

Take a moment to arrive in the present moment by taking some deep breaths.

Take a deep breath in,

Think calm,

And when slowly breathing out,

Think relaxed.

Calm,

Breath in,

Relaxed,

Breath out.

Calm,

Relaxed,

Calm,

Relaxed.

Imagine that there is an invisible thread at the top of your scalp gently pulling your head upwards.

At the same time,

Slightly pull your chin back by about an inch.

Put your relaxed tongue behind your upper front teeth and smile gently.

Enjoy being in the present moment.

Everything else can wait.

There is nowhere to go and nothing to do right now.

Allow yourself to just enjoy the moment.

Breathe in deeply through your nose and breathe out again slowly through the nose.

Breathe deeply into your belly and out again.

Think calm and relaxed.

Let all the tension go.

Let it just go.

Let it just go.

In Qigong we say that we sit like a bell with an upright posture and your arms resting gently on your lap with your palms facing upwards.

In this practice we will focus on regulating your Qi.

Qi could be described as your vital energy,

The life force that underlies our bodies,

Minds,

Hearts and spirits.

Let's start now to regulate the flow of three meridians.

The meridians we will focus on now are the lung and large intestine,

Pericardium and triple warmer as well as heart and small intestine.

To get started let's rub our hands together for a while until they're warm.

Now imagine you're holding a soft energy ball with the palms of your hands.

It's an elastic ball and you start gently pulling it apart and squeezing it together again.

Your palms face each other and they only use as much strength as is needed.

At the same time let your shoulders drop.

While you're focusing your attention on the ball between your hands,

Breath into your belly and relax.

Pull it apart and squeeze it together again.

Do that for a while.

Now we'll start with a self massage of the lung and large intestine meridians.

Start with your left hand and touch your upper side of your index finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your thumb.

Do it again.

Touch your upper side of your index finger,

Move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your thumb.

Now the right arm with your left hand.

Touch your upper side of your index finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your thumb.

Once again,

Touch your upper side of your index finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your thumb.

Now let's continue with just imagination and breathing.

Breathe in through the upper side of both of your index fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then breathe out and into your belly.

Breathe in through your belly again and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your thumbs.

And again breathe in through the upper side of both of your index fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then breathe out and into your belly.

Breathe in through your belly again and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your thumbs.

Now imagine you are breathing in clean white air that moves in through the upper sides of your index fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then you breathe out into your belly and breathe in again into your belly and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your thumbs.

And the white air moves in again through the upper sides of your index fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then you breathe out into your belly and breathe into your belly again and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your thumbs.

Let the white air circulate through your meridian for a couple of times now.

Now we'll move to the pericardium and triple warmer meridians and start with a massage.

Rub your hands again.

Start with your left hand and touch your upper side of your ring finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your middle finger.

Do it again.

Touch your upper side of your ring finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your middle finger.

Now the right arm with your left hand.

Touch your upper side of your ring finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your middle finger.

Once again,

Touch your upper side of your ring finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your middle finger.

Now let's do the same with just imagination and breathing.

Breathe in through the upper side of both of your ring fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then you breathe out into your belly.

Breathe in through your belly again and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your middle fingers.

And again,

Breathe in through the upper side of both of your ring fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then breathe out into your belly.

Breathe in through your belly again and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your middle fingers.

Now imagine you are breathing in red energetic air that moves in through the upper sides of your ring fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then you breathe out into your belly.

Breathe in through your belly again and then move up to your lungs and breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your middle fingers.

And the red energetic air moves in again through the upper sides of your ring fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then you breathe out into your belly.

Breathe in through your belly again and move up to your lungs and breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your middle fingers.

Let the red air circulate through your meridian for a couple of times now.

Now we'll move to the heart and small intestine meridians and start with a massage.

Rub your hands again.

Start with your left hand and touch your upper side of your little finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.

Do it again.

Touch your upper side of your little finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.

Now the right arm with your left hand.

Touch your upper side of your little finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.

Once again,

Touch your upper side of your little finger and move up your forearm,

Upper arm and into your lung.

Then out again through the inside of your upper arm,

Forearm and out again through the inside of your little finger.

Now let's do the same with just imagination and breathing.

Breathe in through the upper side of both of your little fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then out into your belly.

Breathe into your belly again and move up to your lungs.

And breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.

And again,

Breathe in through the upper side of both of your little fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then out into your belly.

And breathe in through the upper arm,

Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.

Now imagine you are breathing in red energetic air.

The air moves in through the upper sides of your little fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then breathe out into your belly.

Breathe into your belly again and move up to your lungs.

And breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.

And the red energetic air moves in again through the upper sides of your little fingers,

Up your forearms,

Upper arms and into your lungs.

Then you breathe out into your belly.

Breathe into your belly again and move up to your lungs.

And breathe out again through the inside of your upper arms,

Forearms and out through the inside of your little fingers.

Let the red air circulate through your meridian for a couple of times now.

Now just relax and breathe in.

Think calm.

And out again,

Relaxed.

Breathe in again.

Calm.

And out again,

Relaxed.

Your chi is in a flow and you can just relax and enjoy the moment.

In a moment you will hear the sound of a bell.

The sound will gently guide you back to where you are.

Now gently come back to where you are.

Slowly move your fingers and toes.

Gently stretch your arms.

Take a deep breath into your belly.

And slowly out again.

Before you get back to your day,

Let's finish the practice by rubbing your hands together and then gently stroke your face as if you were washing it.

Then come your hair with your fingers,

Starting at the forehead and moving slowly to the back of your head.

Start again at the forehead and move gently to the back of your head.

And one last time,

With your fingers start at the forehead and move through your hair slowly to the back of your head.

Now let's repeat but instead of combing your hair,

Let's just gently tap your scalp with the fingertips of both hands.

Start again at the forehead and slowly tap until you reach the back of your head.

Do it again.

Start at the forehead and slowly tap until you reach the back of your head.

And do it one last time.

Now take another deep breath in and slowly out again.
