For this meditation we will become vibrantly aware of the veils of awareness that permeate the mental body, noticing each and every thought, the energy behind the thought, and the witness to it all. In doing so, you'll transcend the many veils of the mind as you open up into the wide-open expanse of purely being.

Inhale deeply,

Exhale fully.

Now is the perfect time to relax.

Hello and welcome.

In this meditation we will become vibrantly aware of the veils of awareness that permeate the mental body.

Noticing each and every thought,

The energy and origin behind the thought.

And then noticing the witness of the thought.

Continuing to trace the witness and the witness of the witness all the way back to source.

Back to that state of purely being.

Come to a comfortable cross-legged position or sit with your feet hip distance apart,

Soles of the feet firmly planted on the floor.

Whatever position you're in,

Maintain a long straight spine,

Lifting up through the crown of your head.

And then just let your hands come to rest on your knees or in your lap.

Palms facing up or down.

Inhale deeply,

Exhale.

Close your eyes,

Relax your shoulders.

Inhale again,

Filling up.

And exhale,

Letting any and all tension melt away.

And one more time just like that.

Inhale,

Pausing at the top.

And exhale.

Be still.

Feel your presence.

First,

I'll take you through the process and then I'll give you about 10 minutes or so to practice it in silence.

First step is to simply notice when a thought,

Story or judgment comes up in the mind.

And when it does,

Simply noticing it.

See if you can do this without judging or following the thought.

Just noticing that a thought has taken place,

Acknowledging there's an origin,

An energy behind it.

Just being aware of that.

And in the same moment,

You notice the background mood or tone,

The energy behind the thought,

The origin of the thought.

Notice where you feel it in your mental body,

Where you feel it in your brain or perhaps outside of your brain and your auric field.

Just noticing the source of where it's arising from in the mind.

And when you feel the energy behind the thought,

You might even ask,

Is that me?

Is this who I am?

Where's this coming from?

The next step is to become vibrantly aware of who is noticing the thought.

Meaning the energy signature of the awareness,

The consciousness,

The witness of the thought.

Who is doing the looking?

Who is doing the seeing?

Who is doing the noticing?

And once you feel a sense of the seer,

The witness of the thoughts,

Noticing where you feel that in your body,

Your mental body,

Your brain,

Your auric field,

Just noticing.

And then notice who is noticing the witness.

Who or what is aware of the witness?

And continue tracing awareness and awareness of awareness into the wide open expanse of being.

It may feel as if you're expanding farther and farther,

Higher and higher through many veils of awareness,

Almost like thin energetic layers into a wider and higher witness,

A larger sphere of awareness.

And as you do this,

Feel the spaciousness of this pure awareness.

Rest in it.

And if you notice the spacious awareness,

Notice who is noticing that.

Continue this process until you have transcended all thought.

And if you notice that you have transcended all thought,

Notice who is noticing that.

Keep going.

Become vibrantly aware of all the ongoings,

All the layers and heights of the mental sphere.

And keep tracing the witness back to the original seeing,

The original awareness,

The original being,

That place where you simply rest as the source of all that is.

You might even explore what's beyond behind backing this.

There's no end to your seeing,

To your awareness,

To your experience.

Witnessing is a continuous process that goes into infinity,

Into what cannot be known,

Only experienced.

Take a nice deep breath in,

Exhale with a sigh.

Now throughout this process of witnessing and witnessing the witness,

Your mind creates another specific thought.

Just go back to the beginning,

Repeating the process again.

Just getting a sense of where the thoughts are rising from,

Perhaps even noticing where you feel this thought in the mind.

You might even feel the thought in your body or in your auric field surrounding your body.

Just becoming aware of the sensation of the thought,

Its location,

Its origin,

The energy behind it.

And then noticing who is noticing.

Tracing the witness and the witness of the witness into larger spheres of seeing and purely being.

Exhale fully and exhale.

Relax.

I'll offer you ten minutes to practice here.

So you're welcome to pause at any point and continue for as long as you need.

You'll hear a soft chime when the time is complete.

Ready?

Thank you for a beautiful meditation. It was calming to hold out the observer antennae, and watch, feel, notice, also oddly fun. 😀💖💫
