Hello lovely and welcome to this week's guided meditation.
Daily living meditations are a chance to take the qualities of meditation and infuse them into your life as you think,
Move,
Breathe and go about your day.
Today's theme is softening and it's a gentle reminder to soften and release tension from your body and your mind.
It's so easy to get wrapped up in the intricacies of responsibilities and relationships,
Work and just the everyday ongoings.
When this happens,
Tension can start to creep in without us being aware of it.
If our mind is too busy to deal with and release the tension caused by stress,
Our body begins to take on the burden.
It's common to carry tension in the shoulders,
Jaw,
Forehead and even in the chest and the belly.
If you think of your body like an energy circuit,
The tension or resistance slows the flow and makes it more challenging for your body to run its naturally restorative processes.
So by taking a moment to soften,
Relax and release tension both mentally and physically,
You're allowing your body to return to its natural state of flow and vibrant health.
So for the next 10 minutes,
Every time you hear the bell,
Take a nice deep breath and sigh it out.
Allowing the tension to melt off your body,
Dissipate from your mind,
Letting your shoulders soften,
Softening the space between your eyebrows,
Relaxing your jaw,
Really just melting into the moment,
Giving your body and mind a rest to revitalize and restore the flow.

Maybe a stretch?
Do whatever it takes to get the blood flowing.
Put your body and mind in that state of restful ease and awareness.
Know that you can return to this practice of softening at any time and continue to use it until it becomes a habit and eventually your natural state.
From this place of softness and flow,
Not only will you feel better physically,
But ideas and solutions will come more easily and positive emotions and experiences will have more space to manifest in your life.
