Welcoming you to your meditation practice on the element of water.

Coming into a seated or supported reclined position on the back of your body,

Becoming nice and comfortable as you close down through the eyelids,

Making any essential adjustments in your physical body,

Becoming even more comfortable as you settle into that comfort within you.

Begin to invite a softening through the breath,

Releasing through the out breath,

On the breath in inviting a lengthening of the spine,

The softness of the face,

Of the jaw,

Lengthening the inhalation,

The eyes,

The eyelids,

The micro muscles of the eyes also becoming softer.

Imagine your breaths like waves rolling in and rolling out,

Becoming smoother and longer,

The shoulders softening,

The exhales become a wave of inhalation,

Rolling out and rolling in,

Softening the palms,

The fingertips as the breath flows,

Inviting that wave like rhythm,

Soothing waves as we connect to the element of water.

You might imagine these waves inviting them in from the whole ocean of pranic space around you,

Life force into your physical body.

As you exhale,

You might imagine releasing anything that is no longer required,

The in breath inviting in pranic field of ocean energy around you,

Inside of you.

On the exhale,

Releasing back out into the ocean,

What is no longer required.

You might imagine these breaths like cleansing waves,

Cleansing power of water.

On the next breath,

Could you imagine breathing in through your navel center,

Up toward the spine,

Toward the mind's eye center,

The space in between the eyebrows.

As you exhale,

Attention cascading back down like a steady stream of water flowing down the spine to the navel center,

Breathing in,

Just imagining the touch of water to the navel center,

Energy drawing up through the center of the spine,

Towards the mind's eye center,

Center of the forehead.

Exhaling,

Steady stream of water rippling down the spine,

Towards the navel and all the way back up,

The continuum of breath,

That attention to keep moving up and down,

Gently in and out,

Through the navel,

Along the spine,

Toward the mind's eye.

You might imagine these waves of breath,

Purifying the spine,

The mind's eye,

And the entire body of the element of water.

Riding the sounds of water,

As you continue to invite the breath,

Ascending,

Descending,

The flow of prana,

Apana,

On the inhale,

On the exhale,

Following the pathway of ocean prana inside of you.

You might imagine these waves of respiration,

Cleansing breaths,

Moving up,

Moving down,

Outward,

Just like the tides,

Rolling in and rolling out.

Each breath purifying the next,

Creating space for that which is new,

Trusting the process,

Letting that in,

Sense of trust in life,

Trust in your breath,

Trust in the natural ability of letting go,

Cleansing,

Purifying,

Slow,

Gentle,

Rhythmic breaths.

Begin to welcome deeper breaths,

Breathing in deeply through the nose,

And deeper as you breathe out through the mouth,

Twice more like that,

Breathing in through the nose,

And a deep breath out through the mouth.

Beginning to welcome that easeful flow of respiration,

Beginning to welcome back the edges of your physical body,

Feeling the support all around you,

Allowing yourself to simmer in the deep state of medicine of water,

The cleansing,

Purification of water.

Tuning in and noticing how you feel as you return back into your waking life,

Allowing the transitions to be slow and peaceful out of the meditation practice and back into the world.

It's taking as much time as you need.
