Hello beautiful mama and welcome to this Tappi meditation.
I've created this especially for the postpartum period where often we need an extra boost to find a little bit more strength and self-worth in this new role.
During the first period of postpartum a lot of new learning is taking place and because everything is new and our identity has been completely wiped away,
As per magic and you,
Human being is in total need of your care minute by minute every day and it's totally normal to feel overwhelmed.
For this reason this tapping is to release that inner voice and find strength in ourselves,
Letting go of self-judgment and embracing a forgiving heart.
We always start by acknowledging the truth of how we feel to release this emotion by tapping through the points.
If you're not familiar with the points yet you can refer back to the explanatory picture I sent you in the email.
Just a quick reminder that you can use index or middle finger or together with either hand.
Whenever you're ready you can find a comfortable seat whether it's cross-legged or on a chair.
If you're sitting on a chair make sure your feet are planted on the ground and as you take a big breath in you can exhale and maybe close your eyes,
Relax the shoulders,
The elbows and the knees towards the floor.
We can start tapping and as I guide you through the point you can repeat after me out loud or in your mind.
We start by repeating some negative statement telling the truth of how we feel to release the intensity through tapping and allow ourself to turn towards the positive.
So when you're ready start tapping on the side of the hand and repeat after me.
Even though I feel bad because my behavior could have been different and I regret the way I react,
Repeat after me.
I embrace my reaction and I acknowledge how they make me feel.
Repeat after me.
Keep going tapping even though I feel that sometimes I don't know what I'm doing and there is so much to do and learn with a newborn in my life.
Repeat after me.
I let go the self-judgment and I embrace a forgiving heart.
Keep going tapping and repeat.
Third time,
Keep going tapping on the side of the hand even though at times I feel unworthy of this role and I beat myself for my mistake.
Repeat after me.
I let them go because from the bottom of my heart I know I'm doing my very best with the resources that I have in this moment.
Repeat after me.
Let's start tapping on the eyebrow point.
Repeat after me.
Having a newborn is not an easy task.
On the side of the eye,
No one has prepared me for this.
Underneath the eye,
Just on the bone and yes sometimes I mess it up.
Underneath the nose and yes sometimes I could do better.
Underneath the mouth but this doesn't mean I am not worthy of this role.
Tap on the collarbone just underneath the collarbone because I know I am the best person for my child.
On the crown of the head,
I can make mistakes and I can learn from them.
Come back on the eyebrow point.
I'm doing my very best with the resources that I have.
On the side of the eye,
Self-judgment won't help me be a better parent.
Underneath the eye,
I let go of the unproductive mean voice that sabotages my self-worthiness.
Underneath the nose,
I let go of the sense of guilt because my child doesn't need a perfect mom.
Underneath the mouth,
I know my child needs me in my imperfection.
Underneath the collarbone,
He or she needs my presence and support being perfect and I let go of any physical sensation associated with that.
Now just listen to my voice and without saying anything out loud,
Just tap as I guide you with some questions.
Tap through the points starting from the eyebrows.
Where do you perceive this tension in your body?
Eyes closed and visualize it.
I'm tapping on the side of the eye.
Localize if it's felt around the throat,
Chest,
Or maybe the belly,
Perhaps somewhere else in the body.
Keep going tapping,
Trying to visualize where do you feel the tension.
And now tap underneath the eye.
And while you tap,
Imagine bright light around that spot that you visualized.
And as you tap,
Expand a light and let it incorporate the tension in your whole being.
So make it bigger and bigger in a way that your whole being,
Your whole person is within this light.
When tapping,
And now tap underneath the nose.
Now all your being is light and the tension is lost and dissolved in the bright light that surrounds yourself.
Imagine this.
Tap underneath the mouth and feel as if you have access to a deeper energy that resides innately within you.
And now tap underneath the collarbone.
This is your innate sense of wisdom and love for yourself.
Feel it on your chest,
Feel the energy moving.
And as you tap on the crown of the head,
It showers you down on you as an overfloating of self-love and worthiness for the good person and parent that you are.
And now repeat after me and come back tapping on the eyebrow.
I am a good mom.
On the side of the eye,
I'm trying my very best every day.
Underneath the eye,
I am human and I'm learning from my mistakes.
Underneath the nose,
I can trust that this is part of the process.
Underneath the mouth,
This is part of becoming a better version of myself.
On the collarbone,
My child is also here to illuminate my path and make me a better human with any of my relationship.
And you can keep going tapping and repeat one more time.
My child is also here to illuminate my path,
Making me a better person with any of my relationship.
Tap on the crown of the head.
My child is my best teacher.
My child is my best teacher.
And you can stop tapping and take a big breath in.
And as you exhale,
You can place your hand on your heart and sit with the sensations that are running through your body.
And if you feel like to grab your journal and take some notes,
Feel free to do that.
And please thank yourself for taking the time for tapping today.
I hope these have supported you mama.
And remember you can repeat this tapping anytime you find in need for this extra boost.
And you can reach out on Instagram and let us know if you feel better after this.
And if you find it beneficial and wanted to help other mamas in need,
Feel free to share it with them.
Until the next time,
Arihunta sa.
