Hello everyone,

Welcome.

My name is Sarah and I'll be guiding you on today's 5 minute meditation.

We're going to focus on our breathing today.

So when you're ready,

Come to a comfortable position.

Suggestions are lying down,

Sitting,

Or standing.

Whatever feels right for you in this moment.

You can choose to close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Wherever you are,

Find stillness in this moment.

Begin to breathe in through your nose deeply and out through your mouth slowly.

Take another deep breath in and out.

Allow the breath to come naturally as it does throughout the day.

Begin to become aware of how the breath feels as you inhale and as you exhale.

On the next inhale,

Allow your belly to blow up like a little balloon.

And on the exhale,

Allow it to release.

Continue to breathe like this.

And if thoughts come,

Allow them to come and go like the clouds in the sky.

If it's helpful,

You can use mental notation.

So when a thought comes,

You simply say,

Thinking,

And then come back to your breath.

This helps you to separate yourself from the thought.

We cannot stop our thoughts from coming,

But we can stop ourselves from attaching to those thoughts and allowing them to become who we think we are.

In order for us to move forward on our journey and for progress to be made,

We must detach from negative thoughts,

Unhelpful and unhealthy thoughts.

Continue to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Start to feel your body resting wherever you are.

Feel a sense of wholeness as you sit today and take the time for yourself to breathe and just be.

Hold yourself in this moment with loving kindness.

As you breathe in this life force energy that allows your body to carry you through the day.

As we approach the end of this meditation,

Continue to breathe deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Now start to wiggle your toes,

Your fingers,

Slowly flutter your eyes open and come back from your meditation.

I hope to see you again in the near future and remember take care of yourselves.
