Pausing between thoughts and activities is life giving. It creates opportunity to experience the present moment. It brings us in to NOW. Choosing which words to use or what we want to eat can become more mindful if we learn to pause. Even a smallest pause is a possibility for another choice. In this guided meditation, Purvi invites you to a short meditation to feel the calm within. Enjoy!

Welcome fellow travelers.

Thank you for being here today on our journey towards stillness and silence.

At first I was not feeling stillness when I thought the word pause.

But what came to my mind was an image.

Image of a stop sign.

But when I actually made a pause there in my thinking process of the word pause,

All of a sudden I had a choice to think the word in a different way.

Either an image of stop sign or as a stillness.

With that,

My possibility to think of the word pause was increased from thinking of a red stop sign to something more expanding like stillness and calm.

And as I did that,

The vibratory component of these words were giving me various frequencies to be with.

As continued to be with this,

I was feeling vibration of the word stop and then the vibration of the word stillness.

And I realized that I had just created possibility to be with two different frequencies by simply choosing one word or one meaning over the other.

Now the choice was mine.

Should have I continued with what seemed easy to go with because I had learned it so well that it programmed and quick?

Or should have I tried to learn to adapt a new but more expansive feeling of higher frequency that uplifts me?

This insight just stayed with me that I had to share it here today.

That that was just the word and that I had a choice.

Because creates possibility by giving us choices.

It's like pause gives birth to the choice that we make has this deeper connection within.

It brings forth the awareness for whatever it is that we're making choice for.

In other words,

Possibility of being aware arises when we simply pause.

A smallest pause between our daily ongoing thoughts can be very life-giving.

It connects us to our being.

As in the present moment and present moment awareness is all there is.

A realm of infinite possibilities.

Past is our friend from this land of wisdom and future is in what we do with now.

So today I invite you to step into this realm of infinite possibilities.

I invite you to step into the stillness of the pause,

Stillness of being.

With that let's have you close your eyes and sit or lay comfortably.

Let's take a few centering breaths here.

And notice if there is any discomfort in your body.

Having this awareness by bringing the breath.

Where do you feel it the most?

Where do you feel the breath the most?

Notice if there is any discomfort in any area of the body.

Feel the word pause in this area.

Feel the stillness,

Feel the calm.

Invite this feeling to rush through your entire body and be with it for a moment.

I would now like to introduce a mantra to take us deeper into our meditation today.

The mantra is I am stillness.

I am stillness.

Please repeat this mantra and continue to silently repeat.

I am stillness.

It's almost like you're thinking of it instead of making extra effort to repeat it and to focus on it.

Remember repeating mantra is always effortless.

And whenever you find yourself drifting away from your mantra,

Gently come back to it.

Anytime there are thoughts,

Noises in the environment,

Feeling arising in the body,

Choose to come back to repeating your mantra.

I am stillness.

I will watch the time and let you know when to stop repeating the mantra.

Enjoy your meditation.

Thank you.

Yay!
