Welcome to this short meditation to help you set healthy boundaries.
Begin by finding a comfortable and quiet space where you can relax and focus.
This meditation is safe to listen to as you walk,
But you're also very welcome to sit down or lie down and relax.
Taking a deep breath,
Allowing yourself to feel calm and centred.
If you've chosen to sit or lie down,
Now is the time to close your eyes.
If you're out walking,
Simply focus on your breath.
Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful,
Safe space,
Somewhere that means something to you.
You're surrounded by nature and you feel the peacefulness and safety of this beautiful,
Beautiful space that you have created for yourself.
Visualise a boundary around you like a protective shield.
You can make this any colour that works for you.
This boundary is a symbol of your ability to protect yourself from negative energies and people who may try and push those boundaries.
Imagine that this boundary is made of strong material.
It's flexible and can expand or contract as you need it.
You are in total control of this boundary and you can adjust it to suit you.
Anything that's meant for you will pass through and anything not meant for you will simply fall away.
Imagine a person,
Circumstance or situation that makes you feel uncomfortable and attempts to violate these boundaries.
Notice how you feel in your body when you think about this person,
Circumstance or situation.
Breathe deeply and allow yourself to feel calm and centred.
Focusing on your breath,
Imagine yourself communicating your boundaries to that person,
Circumstance or situation in a calm and firm manner.
Visualise your boundaries being respected in a calm and firm manner.
Notice how this feels in your body.
Repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
I am worthy of respect and safety.
I have the right to set healthy boundaries.
I am in total control of my personal space and energy.
I trust myself to communicate my boundaries clearly,
Calmly and firmly.
Take a few more deep breaths now and allow yourself to feel confident and empowered.
When you're ready,
Return to the present moment.
Setting healthy boundaries is a skill that takes practice.
It's a muscle that needs to be exercised.
Whenever you feel you need to reinforce your boundaries,
Repeat the affirmations to yourself.
I am worthy of respect and safety.
I have the right to set healthy boundaries.
I am in total control of my personal space and energy.
I trust myself to communicate my boundaries clearly,
Calmly and firmly.
I am enough.
