Hello,
I am Priscilla,
And welcome to our meditation,
The Four Agreements.
The Four Agreements has been written in a small sacred book by Dunn,
Miguel,
Ruiz.
This book holds the four sacred values to life,
Which I believe if this book was read by all beings,
The world will become a more peaceful place to be in by all of us living and acting on these four powerful agreements.
Let's begin our meditation firstly by sitting in pure comfort and allowing to close your eyes gently and begin by becoming aware of your breath.
Now let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and allow to gently exhale.
Let's do that again one more time.
Let's take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and allow to gently exhale.
This will allow our minds to settle and will make us feel a lot calmer.
Please continue to use your breath as an anchor throughout our meditation while I continue to guide you.
The Four Agreements we will be meditating upon are 1.
Be impeccable with your word.
2.
Don't take anything personally.
3.
Don't make assumptions.
And 4.
Always do your best.
Let us start our journey by imagining being on a paddleboat and paddling through our sacred value river to get to our first agreement,
Being impeccable with your word.
Remember to keep breathing through this meditation as we allow to settle the mind and listen with our heart.
When we reach to being impeccable with our words,
We will remember that this means to become more aware of what words we express from ourselves as our thoughts can at times become destructive and this can allow words to come out in a way in which people may be hurtful towards ourselves and towards other people rather than speaking through fear.
Please practice speaking through love.
Let's just go a little deep and ask yourself,
Are you expressing words through conscious communication?
Do you understand that everything you may say can have a ripple effect towards the world around you?
Are you able to avoid gossiping about other people?
Now gently take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and allow to gently exhale.
Allow to repeat after me out loud.
I will practice being impeccable with my words.
Now let's say this together silently.
And one more time.
As we start paddling along the Sacred Value River,
We reach our second agreement.
Don't take anything personally.
If we can live our lives without taking anything personally,
There will be less suffering.
We need to remember we are not in control of other people's way of thinking and actions,
So it shouldn't matter because people act out the way they do from their own doings.
Only we hold the truth within ourselves.
So now let's go a little deep and ask yourself,
Do I take things personally?
And then ask yourself,
Why?
Take into consideration each person has their own opinions and whatever has been said may not be the truth for you.
Now gently take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and exhale and allow to repeat out loud after me.
I will not take anything personally.
Now let's say this together.
I will not take anything personally.
And one more time.
I will not take anything personally.
As we start paddling along the Sacred Value River,
We reach our third agreement.
Don't make assumptions.
Most of our thoughts and actions are made by us making assumptions.
This is usually us living in fear.
Rather than connecting and communicating with a person,
We would much rather live with misunderstandings,
Dramas,
And we play the guessing game.
All these are assumptions.
As Don Miguel Ruritz says,
You can completely transform your life just by not assuming.
So now let's go a little deep and ask yourself,
Where is this taking me by making assumptions?
Why am I assuming rather than asking?
Where will this assumption get me to?
Now gently take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and allow to gently exhale.
And now please repeat after me out loud.
From now on,
I shall ask and not assume.
Now let's say that together.
From now on,
I shall ask and not assume.
And one more time together.
From now on,
I shall ask and not assume.
As we start paddling along the Sacred Value River,
We reach our last agreement.
Always do your best.
No matter what level of consciousness you are in,
Remember to always do your best.
For each time you do your best,
Your level of consciousness shall level up and you will continue to keep on doing your best.
There are no trophies to win.
There are no ribbons to collect.
It's about your own personal growth reaching its highest level of consciousness,
Where we will learn to make more conscious choices for ourselves and to also reach our highest vibrations.
So now let's go a little deep and ask yourself,
Is this the best I can do for my level of consciousness I am right now?
Am I willing to be my best I can be regardless of how I am feeling in the moment?
Am I willing to meditate consistently to help me to be at my best day by day?
Now let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and gently allow to exhale.
And please repeat after me.
I will strive to doing my best with all things.
Now let's say that together.
I will strive to doing my best with all things.
And one more time together.
I will strive to doing my best with all things.
We will now go through all of the four agreements.
Now let's take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and let us say once out loud and repeat after me.
I will practice being impeccable with my words.
Now we will whisper it repeat after me.
I practice being impeccable with my words.
Now silently say it in your mind.
Now let's take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in together and let's say once out loud repeat after me.
I will not take anything personally.
Now we will whisper it repeat after me.
I will not take anything personally.
Now silently say it in your mind.
Now let's take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and allow to exhale and just say it once out loud repeat after me.
From now on I shall ask and not assume.
Now we will whisper it repeat after me.
From now on I shall ask and not assume.
Now say it silently in your mind.
Now let's take in a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and let's say this once out loud repeat after me.
I will strive to doing my best with all things.
Now we will whisper it repeat after me.
I will strive to doing my best with all things.
Now silently say it in your mind.
Now that we have soaked up all of the four agreements from Donna Miguel Ruiz,
We will go into our silent meditation.
We will use the mantra Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
I flow with the rhythm of the universe.
Om Hridam Nama.
Say it with me now.
Om Hridam Nama.
To help drift away to silence,
Keep on repeating the mantra silently in your mind.
You may maroon up.
This is okay.
You may have thoughts arise.
This is okay also.
Just allow to accept things that may arise and if you need to get back to that awareness of your breath as an anchor,
This may help also.
Now let us begin our silent meditation for a few moments until you hear my voice again.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
Om Hridam Nama.
A long,
Slow deep breath in through the nose.
Through our days of the week,
Feel free to work with one of the four agreements to make this become a habitual practice for yourself,
Which will benefit you in many ways.
You may gently open your eyes and look at the magnificence surroundings around you.
Now place your palms together and hold it close to your heart and let us bow and say,
Namaste.
I honour the divine light in you that is also in me.
And together we are one.
Thank you for being part of this meditation practice and I will see you in the stillness and silence again.
Namaste.
