Your Eternal Nature Is Invincible
Premasudha's words are infused with love and insights, shining a light on what the lived spiritual journey is like in all its humaness. She explains how breakthroughs come more easily if we allow the teacher's unconditional love to get through to us. This is not always easy for Westerners who have learned to lodge in their heads rather than their hearts. It takes courage to move out of alienation, but Premasudha reminds us that it may be less scary than being stuck in our emotional prisons our whole lives! One unusual aspect of this very close-to-the-heart teaching is how freely Premasudha shares her own experience, including her mistakes, along her spiritual journey. This Satsang is a very pleasant, informative ride down a meandering river of knowledge coming from Premasudha's four decades of studying with spiritual masters.

So,
I was just talking about that in the East,
They have a more personal way in that their relationship with their teachers is very personal and like a a parent child and the importance of opening at that level where you feel personally supported by your teacher.
Even if the teacher pushes you away,
If you're going the wrong way.
You know,
Actually there's a thing I can talk about.
This was once at the ashram and I was crossing the street from where my flat is,
Which is right on the ocean.
It's like having a condo on the Arabian sea.
It is hilarious,
But anyway.
And there's a big crack in the one of the walls from the 2004 tsunami.
Yeah.
Um,
I forgot what I was going to say.
Oh,
There you go.
I can't remember what I was going to say.
Um,
You guys.
You were crossing the street.
Something about crossing the street.
Oh,
Yeah.
Thank you.
And so,
We had just been doing the prayers,
The meditation by the beach.
And I was crossing and this policeman kept telling me to sort of slow down,
Not push ahead,
Like trying to tell me,
Stay back,
Stay back.
And I'm like,
It's kind of like,
Like,
Why are you getting in my way?
What's the matter?
When I get,
When I move,
I want to cross the street,
You know.
So,
I kind of stopped a bit and then I sped up again and he said,
Push back.
And it turned out that,
I mean,
I was just standing a few feet from her.
Alma was crossing the street and he didn't want me to get ahead of Alma.
Now,
There is a picture of the need to surrender to the group,
To stay behind the group,
Not to cross in front.
It'd be like,
You know,
Trying to cross in front of walking in front of royalty,
You know,
It's kind of.
And,
And so,
As that happened,
That showed me what I was doing internally.
Okay.
It showed me that I needed to step back and become more humble.
Yeah,
It's like these corrections happen all the time.
But the other thing I want to talk about is,
You know,
We're taught to focus on health and body in the East.
They consider us obsessed with our bodies.
They consider us like stuck in the first two chakras and we,
We don't go above that.
And I hate to tell you guys,
But that,
I mean,
I was really insulted when I first heard that,
But actually with my experience in the West,
That is the most common thing.
That's why we're in the mess room.
But anyway,
If you're focusing,
Your main deal is you're focusing on your health,
Your body,
Your food,
Even your career in a,
Oh,
I'm gonna get some place.
That isn't going to teach you very far spiritually at all.
Because it's,
It's the body base.
It's making the personality and the body king.
And it's really sanctioned by our culture.
And a lot of people get really stuck in it.
And,
You know,
Even at the ashram,
There's a lot of focus on body stuff.
But on the other hand,
You know,
Everybody's transforming.
So bless their hearts.
Everybody's,
Everybody starts feeling kind of weird,
And they'll go to the naturopath and,
And,
And get some,
You know,
Support for it.
So it's very understandable.
There's no criticism.
But,
You know,
The wider open you can be,
Like,
Just,
You know,
Live life without really aiming to get anywhere,
Particularly,
Except wiser,
You know.
And all the rest will come as a byproduct of that.
You know,
Your life will work out,
Just because you've got a global,
Loose,
Big,
Encompassing umbrella to have it all.
You're not saying,
Oh,
I have to make 70,
000.
And I have to live in this neighborhood.
And my kids have to go to private schools and blah,
Blah,
Blah.
It's kind of loose.
I just want to be wise,
You know.
And then life can,
You know,
You could live a lot of different ways with that kind of an umbrella.
And you can still support yourself and do well.
Hopefully,
If you've got that kind of attitude,
People will like you more.
Because you'll probably listen to them with your heart,
You know,
Rather than,
You know,
Somebody starts talking to you.
And sometimes,
I don't know if you've ever experienced this,
You're talking to somebody and their eyes glaze over.
It's like they just don't want to hear anything,
Anything.
Yeah.
Whereas a person who's wise is just going to be interested,
You know.
And they will just generically want to be positive,
Have it all be a positive encounter.
I really don't want you to lose heart if things get really dark and messy.
It's just a big cleaning.
It's just,
You know,
The washing machine.
It's like the workman's clothes and the washing machine.
The water looks pretty dark.
But then the clothes come out and they're fresh.
This is just a passing period of cleansing.
But you could also say we're in this mess a bit because,
You know,
Amma said in 2010 that her children did not want to wake up.
And then around 2015,
She said that there were clouds of rage and hate beginning to form around the world.
And,
You know,
Whatever people are feeling will then come down into their actions,
You know.
Yeah.
But she also said there were more saints as a result of the darkness.
There were more saints than there had ever been,
You know,
Even non-official saints,
People living a very devoted life.
The other thing is people don't realize how resilient they are.
You know,
One of the traps of our culture we're talking a lot about,
There's this kind of fake compassion.
But it's not real compassion.
It's kind of control masquerading as compassion.
So,
You know,
We diagnose people and we give people labels.
We might give them pills,
But we don't show them how to come out of it.
And,
You know,
Invalid means spells invalid.
And I think sometimes we get so exhausted.
We're trying to,
You know,
We're so independent on our culture.
So,
We're responsible to house ourselves.
And,
You know,
We work hard and we're and we get exhausted and we want someone to take care of us.
And so,
We might,
You know,
Go to a doctor and accept a diagnosis just as part of wanting to be cared for.
But it's a false caring.
There's no safety in it at all.
At all.
Especially if it's called like,
Okay,
You've got depression because you see,
When we categorize our illnesses like this,
We're forgetting that the individual is responsible for whatever is happening.
And whatever is happening,
It's coming to help you.
So,
You know,
With prematitis,
Typically with the mental illness in my 30s,
It was tailor-made for me to go through that.
And I could have been stuck there my whole life.
People get stuck there their whole lives.
It really worries me.
And,
You know,
People will say to me sometimes and they'll talk and they'll be talking about their kids or,
You know,
My daughter's got anxiety and everything.
And it's sort of like,
It's like,
It just seems so crippling to me.
Sanctioning,
Crippling.
Like,
You know,
If we have anxiety,
It's like,
It should be considered a temporary thing.
If something's bothering you,
That you're scared of the truth within you.
That's what anxiety is,
You guys.
Really.
Really.
It is fear of our true natures.
Truly.
I mean,
There was a period where I was really scared to drive over bridges.
I was really,
I just felt this impending doom.
I just felt like I was going to die.
And it was just,
I was scared of who I really was.
Now,
I could have stopped driving.
But people do that.
They stop driving.
You don't want to do that.
You know,
Any anxiety,
You can outgrow it.
You can,
You,
You speak to the Creator.
Please help me through this.
Show me what I need to face.
Bring all the support I need for me to face this.
Give me the strength.
Give me courage.
You know,
Really awakened people,
They get fearless because they just keep facing their anxiety.
And then seeing that it's just smoke and mirrors.
You know,
That's what Prama Sutta did.
It's all smoke and mirrors.
It's nothing.
And I would feel like I was going to go in front of a firing squad sometimes.
I would be so scared.
And especially around speaking the truth,
You know.
It used to be terrifying.
But I couldn't help it.
Like,
I couldn't,
You know,
If I wasn't,
You know,
If I felt something was true,
And I was in a situation where I couldn't honor it,
I would start squirming with,
So I would get so physically uncomfortable that I would upset everybody around me.
So it was much safer for me just to come forward with whatever I was thinking and feeling,
You see.
See,
We will go extinct if darkness wins,
You see.
The Amma has said that the para-atman would not allow the universe to continue if we,
If darkness is stronger.
She said that light is,
There's more light than darkness in the world.
And that if it ever came to that there was more darkness,
That the soul,
Basically,
The God would never allow it.
Why would they?
So if this happens,
What will happen is,
The darkness will present as a series of problems that we cannot solve.
Like the plastic in our bodies,
AI,
You know,
It'd be like a broad spectrum that we cannot solve.
At which point,
The human,
Humanity would go extinct,
But our soul journey would continue,
We'd be reborn in another form.
And I've said this to you before,
We reborn in another form of a species that could not solve its problems so easily.
Because we solve problems so easily,
We don't pray.
I know nobody wants to hear about going extinct,
But it's part of how I became fearless,
Was I realized that this could happen.
You know?
And it was just something I faced along the way.
Yeah,
That could happen.
But nothing with thoughts really does.
How deep can you find the silence within you?
Because I'll tell you,
The silence within you is totally at peace with anything.
I don't really know why I keep mentioning this.
I really do think it's to promote fearlessness.
So that you become more and more non-attached,
More and more fearless.
You know,
So that you're fearless in bringing forth the loving.
You see,
So many people are scared,
Even people who come to teaches like Prama Sutta,
And sort of like,
What's the point?
What's the point of staying scared,
You know?
And you know,
In the Old Testament,
They would talk about how,
Because there was one honest person,
That God saved the city.
And that could happen too.
That is the way it happens,
By the way.
It is.
It's so weighted in support of anybody moving into truth.
The power of it is so big.
But to our egos,
We look around and we say,
Oh,
Darkness is so powerful.
Look how good gets squashed.
But actually,
It's not true,
Because it's like,
Prama Sutta is like the Testament.
It's like,
You know,
This was done,
And I,
You know,
These kids were raised,
The knowledge was gotten,
And it just all got done.
But you guys,
I faced a lot of fear,
You know?
Oh,
I'm listening to Prama Sutta with all of my ears and my heart and everything.
Yeah.
I know you do.
I know you listen like that.
Yeah.
And Shell,
You could allow a greater response to come to you.
I can feel it in your tummy,
Your solar plexus in your tummy,
Where it's like you're so like this,
You know,
Your heart felt,
But also it needs to come back to you.
It needs to come back to feed you.
Uh-huh.
Okay,
So I'm giving yourselves permission to receive love.
Right.
Okay.
It's funny.
You will accept the permission from me.
I'm like happy.
That's good.
You will.
This is how a teacher,
This is how it can work.
When the devotion is strong,
Then stuff just melts.
Right.
Right.
Right.
And this is your birthright for this love to come to you,
Shell.
It's part of why you're here on earth.
Well,
It is why you're here on earth.
That's it.
It's funny.
I'm getting that there are going to be eight stages to receiving this.
Sort of subtle stages.
Yeah.
It's like getting acclimatized.
Yeah.
Right.
And may it all happen in the highest good way.
Yeah.
And you don't have to do anything,
Shell.
You don't have to perform.
You don't have to do anything.
Yeah.
Just hearing this word,
Turning up,
And then that's all for the rest of you,
Too.
Remember that.
Just hearing the words,
You're turning up.
Shell came forward and is so this process is being explicit,
But you're all doing it.
It's what happens in the satsang.
Yeah,
I don't.
There's self-forgiveness,
Sweet,
Sweet one,
Shell.
Need for self-forgiveness.
I'm just touching on these things.
I don't want you to worry about it too much.
It's just,
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know,
Everything we do is because of our conditioning and our other lives,
And our mistakes are inevitable.
Like a teacher,
A really awakened teacher will know exactly what mistake the student's going to make as they proceed on their journey.
It's just the writings on the wall.
It's just like in a classroom with kids,
Like grade two kids,
Grade one,
You're going to see where,
You know,
Each kid is going to have trouble,
What area,
How they're going to behave.
So,
With Prama Sutta's strong drive for the spiritual knowledge,
Then the mistake she would make would be like trying to cross the street in front of Amma.
That would be inevitable,
That someone like Prama Sutta would make that mistake.
Do you see?
It's,
It's,
Nothing's bad.
It's just the weave.
Yeah.
It's the weave.
You're off the hook,
Okay?
Nothing's bad.
It's just the weave.
Yeah.
Weave.
Okay,
Good.
You're getting this.
Yeah.
Right.
Right.
Okay.
This is great.
You know,
That religiosity where we get into like the bad and good,
It's just the worst.
But,
You know,
Again,
That's,
We'll fall into that sometimes.
I feel I'm,
I feel Prama Sutta's hitting home.
This love work is hitting home.
It's good.
The other thing I was speaking to a dear one,
And no,
I'll just,
I'll kind of wind this back.
You know,
My mom,
Who's doing us a great spiritual service by being my example of what not to do,
Right?
Although,
You know,
She,
She did,
She triumphed on her deathbed.
She did a years,
Lifetimes work on her deathbed,
So it's all good.
And she helps us.
I know she does.
And she's happy that I do this,
That she has no trouble with it.
Anyway,
She used to,
Like,
Be interested in the spiritual journey and did human potential things that were big in the 50s,
60s,
And 70s in,
In North America.
And at the same time,
When she and I were talking,
And I would be talking about dreams or intuitions or whatever,
She would say,
Oh,
I don't pay any attention to that sort of thing.
And I'm like,
Okay,
I'm thinking to myself,
Well,
If you don't pay any attention to that,
What do you pay attention to?
And I'm like,
But this is the this is the what the how do you go on the journey without this kind of paying attention to the subtleties of our experiences,
Our dreams and our,
You know,
Just the subtle perceptions that come.
They're the journey.
That's it,
You got out your body's feeling your intuitions,
Dream of the dream made you feel what happened after the dream,
You know,
Crossing the street in front of Obama and noticing that you know,
This is the journey.
So you see,
In in the West,
We tend to,
You know,
Look for boxes,
What box do I have to open to go on the journey?
And it's like,
It's actually to come out of the boxes to just go forward with,
I just want to be a wise person and just have kind of be open ended about it.
And just let the universe take you where it takes you,
You know?
Yeah.
So sometimes students will say to me,
Oh,
Yeah,
I don't pay any attention to that sort of thing.
And I'm like,
Oh,
Do pay attention,
Do pay attention,
That's the journey.
Yeah.
That's your isness.
That is your,
That is your getting to know this.
You know,
You're getting to know who looks out through your eyes.
We forget this.
We forget to put this in part of our equation about who is looking out through our eyes.
And we make it all out there.
But the thing is,
Everything we see that out is that out there is,
Is just being hallucinated by us.
It's reflecting back us,
To us,
To wake us up.
So remember,
I've talked about when I went to England,
And I,
I was hired by the meanest editor in England,
Like famously mean.
And it was like,
It was just like an iron filing to a magnet.
I mean,
That that he reflected my complex.
I was there.
And then as I faced fear,
And not only fear,
But I faced the disregard I had for myself,
I faced the contempt I had for myself,
And the disregard and I faced it and I decided not to continue with that.
I decided to love myself.
And none of that stuff happened again.
It just all stopped happening.
When we get the lesson,
Different things happen to us.
We're sending out kind of a,
An energetic storyline that invites a particular storyline to happen to us.
Yeah,
That matches the storyline that we're carrying in the cells of our body.
And through prayer,
Meditation,
You strengthen the soul in the cells of your body,
And you dislodge this ego.
And you start,
The storyline starts getting,
Starts fading away.
So,
They get scrubbed off.
And it seems so real to us,
You guys.
When we're hooked in our storyline,
It seems so just true,
Unchangeable.
It's hopeless.
It's always going to be like this.
Yeah.
Yeah,
You can see that way.
Yeah.
That's why you keep turning like the self-compassion.
Saying your mantra.
But I held on to self-compassion with the death breath.
That was my only safe place,
Was when I felt self-compassion,
Then I knew that was,
Yeah,
I would feel self-compassion.
Then when I lost it,
I would struggle back continually till I felt it again.
There's a lot of love here.
I can feel the love in the group.
I can feel your capacity for love.
It was getting bigger.
And,
You know,
You guys,
Don't be harsh with yourself.
Like,
I remember getting a channel reading,
And this channel reading told me that I was pretty good at noticing negative thoughts.
I almost fell over.
I couldn't believe it.
But I was good at it because,
You see,
My experience was,
I was noticing them so much that I was swamped in negativity.
Do you see what I mean?
I was noticing it so much.
So I felt so full of it.
But I was noticing it.
And this channel was saying,
Like,
I was really good.
This was good.
And I'm like,
What?
This is good.
I feel like I'm in the sewer.
But you see,
I was aware of it.
It was lifting.
Yeah,
So you can't really judge yourself.
I really want to make this clear.
It's like,
Really,
Only a teacher who can know where you are.
You can't.
You can't.
It's just like climbing a mountain.
You might be faced with a rock face,
And it might look hopeless,
And you might be like two meters from the top.
And women,
Particularly you guys,
We're trained with this disregard we have of ourselves or thinking we're doing it wrong.
And even,
You know,
When you look around at spirituality,
I mean,
A lot of what's talked about is coming in through the men.
Yeah.
And bless their hearts,
We really need it.
But there's this whole other,
More feminine way that is at least as valuable.
And I think right now,
We need it so much.
It's really of prime importance to embrace our,
This focus on the emotions,
And the embracing of our humanity.
It's like Ama talks about that she likes it best when enlightenment comes in old age.
It's sort of like a tree blossoming and bearing fruit.
You know,
The full experience.
But it's totally possible,
She says as well,
To say your mantra every single moment for three years.
You'll be enlightened if you do that.
Do you say your mantra like that in three years?
She said that I heard her say it.
I don't know if anybody has tried to say their mantra 24 seven.
But you can see what a challenge it would be to say it for three years.
But I'm sure somebody's done it and bless their hearts.
And my hat off to Kama Su that found them.
Oh,
The other thing I wanted to say was the imprinting,
Your imprinting,
Whatever happened to you when you were little.
You know,
They'll be good in it.
It's for a reason.
You know,
Ama,
She was imprinted with her mom was sick.
And also,
You know,
Her Ama wasn't treated well in the family.
And she was treated like Cinderella,
You know,
The drudgery.
She did all the drudgery.
She cooked and cleaned and even cleaned relatives place.
She'd be sent five miles away to clean her relatives house,
Then come back and have to clean her own.
And she was just a little girl when this started.
So she would get up at four o'clock in the morning and just go until 10 o'clock at night.
Okay,
So this pattern is what she brings into the journey.
She's like that now.
She just doesn't stop.
She's just nonstop.
Truly.
Goes,
Goes,
Goes.
When she's not giving darshan,
She's reading letters and talking on the phone with her charities.
And she's just totally busy and focused all the time.
So,
You see,
This imprinting was necessary for her,
For her journey,
For being this colossus that she is.
Like,
It's not bad,
You guys.
You know,
You may be,
You,
The trick is,
Instead of being a victim of your conditioning,
That you embrace it and then use it.
Yeah,
Like this is what Amma did.
So she,
She embraced it all and then she used that same habit,
That same patterning.
Right.
Everything,
Everything can be used positively.
It's like I say,
It's like my fights with my dad,
Standing up to my dad,
Is taught me.
Like,
I developed a muscle in,
Like,
A standing up,
Like,
Up with this I will not put.
I'm not gonna be a victim.
I'm,
I'm moving into truth.
Like,
I had to get over kind of the unnecessary fighting.
Do you know what I mean?
Like,
Because at first I would fight,
I would fight God,
Actually,
With the habit of fighting my dad,
Then I just took this habit of fighting everything,
Including God.
So I had to,
It had to be embraced and healed enough.
But it turned into a tremendous ability to stand up and be counted.
You see,
Everything can be,
When we turn around and love ourselves,
Everything becomes useful.
Everything.
It's like I say with my mom,
With her,
The fact she was in such deep denial and so subtle.
So I would get fooled all the time.
It's part of why it's really hard to fool Prema Sudha,
Because I can smell denial.
She trained me.
Yeah,
I got lost in it so much with her.
It's part of why I don't get lost in it with you guys.
Right?
Whatever happened can be used for the good.
The worst is to feel like a victim.
Anything that makes you feel,
Like Vivekanda said,
Anything that makes you feel weak is bad.
You know,
Avoid it.
And that's part of what I'm saying with these diagnoses.
Oh,
I've got anxiety.
Oh,
You've got anxiety.
It's like,
If it makes you,
If you feel weak,
Weakened as a result of this,
It's not helpful.
You're God in human form.
You can overcome anything.
Anything.
Right.
Okay,
Good.
Women,
You know,
Women are so resilient.
How many lifetimes have like,
You know,
The Vikings killed all them,
You know,
And,
You know,
The invaders come and your husband's killed and you have to like,
Deal with the invaders and raise kids and you find a way to survive.
Right.
Women are incredibly resilient.
And Amma says that,
You know,
That when women bring in their inner man in support of them,
Like when they,
When a woman wakes up enough to become steady,
Objective.
Amma said this,
She just becomes more effective than the male,
Even on the journey that she can,
That she can stay,
She becomes more,
Oh,
What's the word,
More of a spiritual warrior,
Even than the men.
Yeah.
Because the men inside them,
They have a soft woman,
Which is really good too.
And when a man wakes up,
He's,
He's just lovely.
And he helps women so much.
But we women,
You know,
When we get our male behind us,
That's what you see in Premasuddha.
My male is really behind my feminine.
He doesn't oppress her at all.
He,
He enhances her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
Women,
We have this.
We have to love ourselves to get it,
To love yourself.
And remember,
You're like an empress.
You're an empress.
It's like,
You know,
You might think you're a beggar,
But you're an empress.
You know,
All those stories,
The prince and the pauper and the king exchanges,
You know,
That,
That story and the king,
The prince exchanges places with the pauper and everything.
It's because we're,
We're these divine beings and we just feel like victims.
So,
You know,
These stories attract us.
Yeah.
And they remind us of who we really are,
Of our royalty,
Of the inner royalty.
Yeah.
That's it.
That is pretty funny about Premasuddha trying to shut people up energetically and then Amma correcting her.
What a,
What a,
What a,
Just a comedy this whole thing is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Last call for questions or comments,
You guys.
Sweet,
Dear souls that you are.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just remember how loved you are.
Okay.
And,
You know,
You know,
Think of Amma and surrendering to Amma.
And if you're stuck intellectually at all,
You're stuck in a loop or you can't get through a wall,
You know,
Ask Amma to help you.
Even,
Even ask Premasuddha to help you.
Just let yourself help past that loop,
Past this blind spot,
Past this wall.
Yeah.
There's no need to be stuck.
And,
You know,
Often we become unstuck when we just can't stand it anymore.
You know,
It's like the darkest time is just before dawn.
And if anybody is,
Anybody like me,
Woken up at three o'clock in the morning,
Like,
Going,
Oh my life,
What a mess.
You know,
Just,
Just keep taking that to,
Take it to Amma,
Take it to God,
Take it to the Creator.
Remember,
You know,
The other thing I didn't tell you is not only did,
Remember when I started these,
Gabriel came,
Archangel Gabriel,
And said,
Tell them the answers are inside.
The other thing that happened was Archangel Michael came,
He just came inside me to help me teach this.
So,
I feel like I'm walking around with Archangel Michael inside me,
And it has helped me with the sad things,
With the,
You know,
The coming forward as a warrior,
Bit of a warrior.
Yeah.
No,
I didn't even know this was possible.
I didn't know this happened.
So,
Just,
Just stay open,
And yeah,
Let yourself be helped.
It's like,
He came right in,
And into my heart,
And I just felt him ever since.
I don't know,
It's kind of like,
Oh,
This is good.
I mean,
Maybe,
I mean,
I'll tell you,
One of my private dreams is I want to bi-locate consciously.
I do.
I want to go visiting people.
So,
Maybe that will be the next thing,
Yeah.
You know,
There's warnings against,
Against focus on these cities,
These,
But I just want to do this as part of this expressing of the love.
I would like to do it consciously.
It's kind of like,
It just sounds like fun.
It sounds like fun being able to,
You know,
Yeah,
Because like I said to you,
I mean,
I think I do it already,
Because I've had some people say,
You know,
They've seen me,
So,
In the rooms,
So,
But I'd like to do it consciously.
Anyway,
You're being showered.
I can see this.
You're being showered with gold,
With the golden energy,
All of you.
Yeah,
Just being showered with it.
Yeah.
Okay.
What dreams may come?
See you tomorrow,
You guys.
Bless your heart.
Bye.
