Do you know that humans have a four part brain structure and it is the mammalian part of our brains that get hooked on trauma? This is why we might replay what happened to us as kids for years and years, playing in self-pity and resentments. The answer is to put your focus on serving an abstract. The prefrontal lobe is humanity's latest brain and our blossoming occurs as we give this lobe a leadership position. When we serve an abstract such as Love with our full heart, all the other three aspects of our brain fall in behind this goal and help our lives orient towards the higher ideal. This is the biological reason why refusing to serve a higher purpose beyond our own individual identity, makes it easier to get stuck in trauma. May we all find it easier to walk the golden path of service to humanity and express our true Natures and our love for Amma in everything we do.
