A spiritual journey really begins when you realize that the injured child within is actually running your life.
That even though,
You know,
We're grown up,
Most of us are functioning in our injured child at various ages.
We can get stuck at 13,
We can get stuck at 2.
And it's why grown-ups don't always act adult because they're suffering from the injured child.
They're stuck in it and they haven't been able to grow beyond it.
And this even happens with political figures and corporate figures.
And actually it's part of why,
You know,
Corporations and governments sometimes act peculiarly because the people in them sometimes are stuck at various age groups.
Now,
You know,
It might be a big emotional,
Spiritual revolution for this kind of understanding to become commonplace,
But our world would be a much gentler,
More compassionate world,
Much wiser if we understood this.
So just bringing it back to ourselves,
You know,
When we realize that it isn't just a matter of doing our meditation practice or prayer,
If we understand that it's almost like we have to develop a compassionate self-understanding of ourselves.
So instead of thinking,
Oh yeah,
This is me and I'm making a decision,
You look at yourself from,
Okay,
I'm a spiritual being,
But I have some wounding and this life will either reflect the wounding or,
You know,
The way I live my life will be healing it.
Because I'll tell you,
Our wounding will keep coming to us if we don't heal it.
Because that's what we're transmitting.
We're coming from this inner child,
Psychology,
And it's like a machine that's transmitting a program,
But there's a lot of static in it.
So it transmits static and then,
You know,
What's coming back to it will be this same static.
So an injured person,
Somebody who's walking around with trauma,
Will often just experience the same thing happening over and over,
Maybe abandonment happening over and over.
And,
You know,
The universe is really doing its best to help us heal.
So,
You know,
If the abandonment's coming over and over,
The universe will be reflecting how your child self felt,
But will be asking you to now allow the healing,
Which is to allow the understanding that we're never abandoned,
That we can't be abandoned.
I mean,
We're the creator in human form,
And we are so loved.
So we're never abandoned,
But we can really feel abandoned if that's what our ego is built on.
So the spiritual journey is really the walk of allowing the trauma to heal,
To allow the old events that used to happen,
You know,
The events that reflect what happened in our childhood,
To gradually heal into a compassion for yourself,
An understanding of yourself,
Self-acceptance.
So what will happen is those events will no longer happen to you.
They'll no longer come from the outside even.
What will happen is you start experiencing the opposite of being abandoned.
You start experiencing,
You know,
A tremendous fellowship,
A tremendous feeling of connecting up with other people and nature.
And you see,
The only rub is there is that point in your journey,
Just where you're standing there going,
Okay,
Here the abandonment is happening again.
Okay,
Do I dare take steps on the premise that God really exists and that I am valuable?
And do I follow my intuition for living that way?
So it means making new choices,
Doing different things.
So it can be very scary.
It actually can be terrifying.
But the great thing is if you do it,
You know,
You'll find out that you are,
It's the opposite of abandonment,
That you just received with love.
So it takes a lot of practice.
And then,
You know,
The thing that just,
You know,
Just to confuse,
Like what I just said,
Is sometimes the ego will,
You know,
If you go,
Okay,
I'm going to find this new way,
I'm going to walk into,
I'm going to get over my wounding,
And I'm going to get walk away from these feelings of abandonment.
And then you,
Then what happens is,
You might sort of try to do it or be subtly pushing the river.
And the ego may constellate a circumstance where you get abandoned again.
And it can look like,
Oh,
God really doesn't exist.
But I'll tell you what.
And that happened to me.
And I decided to still keep trying.
Keep trying to heal this wounding,
To heal this abandonment.
And as I kept going,
Then my ego let go.
And very different things started happening to me.
So it was the opposite of being abandoned.
But you see,
The key is,
The reason I got abandoned earlier was really,
I was taught to abandon my true nature,
Growing up.
So that's what I did.
So that's what the,
Why the universe kept on reflecting this abandonment,
Because,
You know,
We're here to connect up.
So,
You know,
When I allowed,
When I started following the way my soul wanted to go,
Then my soul was a lot happier.
I got a lot happier.
Anyway,
Just never give up,
Okay?
And there's such change going on,
And nobody's got it sewed up.
And no matter what,
You're just loved.
You're just loved.
You're part of the creator.
You're just adored.
Okay.
Bless your hearts.
