All of us have goofed in our time. The trouble is guilt and shame are sticky. Memories of our past mistakes and most embarrassing moments sometimes replay in our minds, even decades later. We might even blush at their rembrances. Our egos just love to steer us away from the feeling awareness and knowledge that we are eternal Beings in human form. Knowing this, Premasudha reminds us of our eternal worth and gives us tips on how to disentangle ourselves from embarrassing replays and move into our true Natures.

When I'm working with people and shame is up for them,

I'll see tar.

A really kind of sticky,

Sticky black tar.

And shame is sticky.

Shame and guilt,

They are.

They sort of stick to us.

They stick to our minds.

You know,

We might replay memories from like 30 years ago when we were on some date or something and something happened.

Or maybe if we're replaying our memories of school,

We might even blush.

You know,

Even if we're sitting all by ourselves like decades later,

We might with the shame.

So,

It's as if our minds are attracted to it.

And this is what I want to address.

It's like,

You know,

Observe it when you do it.

Observe yourself.

Observe the storyline.

Because human beings,

You know,

We all goof.

But if you're replaying a video in your head of the times you goofed,

It's taking you out of the present.

And it's actually strengthening your self-doubt.

Strengthening your feeling that you've got it wrong,

That you're not very good.

Yeah,

So if you can at least observe yourself when you do it.

Yeah,

Just observe the process.

See what you're doing to yourself.

It's sort of like,

You know,

Energetically,

We're like covering ourselves with mud,

You know.

Or this tar that's sticky.

Yeah,

Sticky.

It attracts us.

It attracts our minds.

It attracts the ego,

Who just wants to keep you in the old kind of feeling bad about yourself.

So,

This is why I'm making this video.

It's just,

You know,

To just affirm you.

And,

You know,

We're all human.

We all make mistakes.

And just,

If you can catch yourself,

If you're replaying some incident that happened in the past that makes you blush,

Catch it.

And go like,

You know,

Just,

You know,

Realize you don't have to do this to yourself.

You don't have to hurt yourself this way.

Yeah,

And one of the things I see over and over is when people are just about to step into their hearts more,

To trust their hearts more,

The ego will respond by bringing a lot of memories of when we failed or our hopes didn't work out.

You know,

Or we did something that made us feel really ashamed.

You know,

Sometimes,

Maybe we failed grade 10 or something.

I don't know what,

Or failed some test.

You know,

Or got really drunk and made a fool of yourself.

Oh,

Wow.

It's like,

You know,

These memories are just,

It's just a way really for your ego to keep you small and not to realize that you're a divine being in human form.

So as your human form,

You're going to make mistakes.

But in your divinity,

You're just in this school room of Earth where you're learning.

You're learning actually how to love yourself,

How to love and have compassion for yourself,

And how to love and have compassion for all humanity.

And truly,

It's easy to have compassion for all humanity,

If you have it for yourself.

And it's impossible to love humanity.

If you don't love yourself,

You,

You can only love something to the degree that you love yourself.

Yeah.

Anyway,

Yeah,

Me you grow past shame,

And come into the light and see your work and feel it.

Okay,

Bless your hearts.
