If we look closely,
Our lives will have a pendulum aspect.
We go between joy and sorrow.
It may take several years for the pendulum to go back and forth,
But we see it with marriage and honeymoons,
And then there's the marriage,
And then the honeymoon,
And then there's the business of actually learning how to live together,
Right,
Which can be a little bit of a crash after all the excitement of the wedding and the honeymoon.
Okay,
So the joy to the sorrow,
And then,
You know,
When we're in sorrow,
We look at our experience more,
And we make efforts to get back to the joy,
So we go back.
So in a marriage,
Maybe the couple start making more effort to be better with each other,
To be,
Speak gently,
And be more concerned with the other person's needs,
Till the marriage improves.
Yeah.
Then,
You know,
You might then have a child,
And have the joy of a child,
And then the crash of actually the sleepless nights with this lovely little bundle that,
Like,
Maybe has colic and cries for eight hours,
Yeah,
It's great.
Yeah,
So this is going on in all our lives,
And,
You know,
Especially on the spiritual journey,
If we have an expansion or a breakthrough to more understanding,
We feel,
Oh,
I've really got it,
I'm really understanding more,
I'm trusting more.
And then what will happen is,
The pendulum will go back,
And everything will seem to get darker,
But it's just to help us integrate it,
So that this knowledge is integrated into our bodies,
Because when darkness comes,
We might have kind of a battle to stay true to that breakthrough that we had,
Stay true to having faith that the Creator is running everything,
That we're being taken care of,
When maybe we just lost our job,
And our bank account was cleaned out through fraud or something.
You know,
There's a story of,
An old,
Old story about a man,
And his son lost his arm,
And everybody went,
Oh,
Bad news,
Bad news.
And then war came,
And so,
You know,
His son didn't have to go to war,
So it was,
Everybody went,
Good news,
Good news,
But the old man wasn't buying into anything being bad or good news,
Because he just learned,
It's sort of like,
You know,
The lotteries,
You can win a lottery,
And then five years later,
Maybe you're in a worse financial situation.
But my point with this is that life is like this,
So if we're thinking that there's just going to be a line of progress,
Of just,
That we're just going to be getting better and better in every way,
And that human life is going to get better and better in every way,
It just won't.
We won't keep doing this pendulum of joy to sorrow,
Which we're doing actually right now,
Because we had the very great peace,
That time in the 60s,
You know,
50s,
60s,
70s,
80s,
Of a lot of peace,
You know,
And people in the,
People maybe have forgotten this,
But in Vancouver,
You know,
You could be,
You could be a shoe salesman and afford to buy a house in the 50s.
Yeah,
Houses were like $3,
000.
Anyway,
It's back and forth,
So if we remember this a little bit more,
And to,
You know,
When things look dark,
Don't,
Don't give up,
You know,
Have faith,
Do what you can to help yourself and help the situation,
But the light will come again,
You know,
Dawn will break again,
The darkest,
It's darkest just before dawn,
The light will come again,
The joy will come again,
Yeah,
It's okay,
All is well,
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
