This can be hard for we Westerners,
You know,
The Eastern sages say at the root of everything is the silence,
It's the silence of the creator,
The silence of unconditional love.
It's the silence of the energy which we know the earth and even our bodies is made out of and that that energy is just the vibration slowed and it's become matter,
Just like steam condenses into water,
But the bigger silence beyond this universe and in the center of our hearts is invisible.
It's invisible,
But it's the source of everything.
So for Westerners,
You know,
We have to learn to quiet down a bit,
To feel it,
To maybe talk a little less,
Or,
You know,
Notice if you're talking out of anxiety,
Or to fill up the empty space,
Or to run from feelings of feeling really separate.
You know,
You can feel scary,
But it's very,
Very safe to sink into the silence of your being and,
You know,
Lots of times in the West with this proliferation of teachers,
You know,
There's similar teaching to use,
To kind of falsely create a silence in your head.
And that's sort of actually using the ego to do a copy of the silence of being but it's based on tension.
It's not based on true awareness that the real silence within you is,
Yeah,
Maybe some of you can feel it even as I'm speaking permission to relax into this silence a little more.
We don't have to be so busy.
We don't have to think so much.
We don't have to talk so much and distract ourselves so much because we're running from the truth of things.
And the thing is,
You know,
I mean,
I actually,
I'm a very logical person.
So I go,
Okay,
What I don't face now,
I'm going to face my deathbed.
So I might as well face it.
So,
You see,
To the extent that we're running for myself,
It's what we'll face in old age and on our deathbed.
So maybe better to do it when you're young,
You know.
I've said this before in one of my videos that there was a moment I was,
You know,
Actually I was in hospital at the time and the nurse left and I was terrified when she left because I was going to be just with myself and I was just terrified,
Thought of it.
And now it's the opposite.
It's my great solace.
You know,
Being with myself,
Being,
Being with the silence,
It's just,
And then,
You know,
I bring that to my life and to all the relationships that I have.
You can find your silence.
It hurts a little.
This is the thing,
You know,
Because we've been conditioned out of it.
So when you go back and look for it,
You know,
You might encounter feelings of being lost and of pain,
But it's temporary.
Yeah.
You are the silence of your being,
You know.
The silence who manifested your body,
It's the silence of your being that's really dreamed up your body and arranged your birth and charted all the lessons that you're here to learn and will meet you with open arms as you return,
You know,
After a long life,
Hopefully,
A long,
Happy,
Productive life.
Yeah,
Will greet you with open arms as part of itself,
Its beloved child,
But also part of itself.
Yeah,
Because I don't know if you've ever watched somebody die,
But I was with my dad around the birth,
Around his death,
It's birth,
That is a birth into,
Back into the silence.
But yeah,
And you know,
The body shrinks a little and,
You know,
Scientists confirm that we'll weigh an ounce or two less after death,
So this energy does weigh something after all.
Okay,
Well,
Just,
Just remember the silence within and,
You know,
If you're washing the dishes or driving in your car,
Walking in nature,
Saying goodnight to your kids,
You can tap into it,
Yeah.
You know what it's like?
It's like having lived in a one-room hut your whole life,
And then you realize that actually you're living in a mansion and there's room after room after room,
But it's an inside job,
You know,
You have to go inside.
But,
You know,
Actually with the way things are economically,
You know,
It's a good time to go inside and find the mansion inside.
Okay,
Okay,
Bless your dear hearts.
