Let go and flow into grace.
Getting still,
Settling in.
Sit or lie so your breath flows with ease.
If there is tension anywhere,
What are you holding?
Why are you holding it here?
Do you need to hold it this very moment?
If you let go,
Just for now,
Will the world as you know it fall apart?
It won't.
Let go.
If you want it later,
You can welcome it back.
For now,
Open.
Open your hands,
Open your heart,
Open your belly,
Open your toes,
Open your mind as if all you had to do was think,
Open.
Everything you're holding,
Including every limiting thought,
Every fear-based belief,
Is set free.
Let's practice right now.
Take a thought you know you loop on.
Maybe it's a thought about yourself,
Maybe it's about someone else,
Maybe a thought about life itself.
For some,
It might be,
I'm unlovable.
I'm unworthy of love.
I'm not good enough.
I don't belong here.
Just give yourself a second to see what the most nagging thought is that you know is holding you back.
Now,
Let's imagine those words,
Those ideas,
Transform into a little bird.
Place that bird on a windowsill.
The window is locked tight,
So don't worry.
The thought's not going to go anywhere.
It's just going to sit there like a bird looking out the window.
Now,
Let another nagging thought arise,
One you know is not serving you.
And you know you have it,
Let that turn into another little bird.
Maybe it's the same kind,
Maybe it's different,
But it's a bird.
Sit it on the windowsill,
Behind the glass.
Let those two thoughts just sit there gazing out the window.
Maybe other thoughts arise,
Thoughts that really do not serve you.
They don't serve life.
They don't make you smile.
They certainly wouldn't make anyone else smile.
I'll give you a few moments to let any other limiting beliefs,
Fear-based thoughts rise to the surface.
Anything you know causes you suffering.
Let it arise,
Look at it,
And transform it into a bird and place it on the window.
Finish up your last thought.
Finish up transforming it into a bird.
Put it on the windowsill next to all those birds.
Now unlock the latch and slide open the window.
Watch all the birds,
All the thoughts,
All the tensions fly free.
They don't need you to cling or try to hold them in.
Like you,
The thoughts just want to be free.
So watch them go into the wind beyond your field of vision,
Off into space.
And watch the empty space expand and breathe.
And breathe as the space around you gets lighter and more vast,
As though opening the window dissolves the walls.
Notice now that you are surrounded by galaxies of light,
Every molecule of air,
A universe dancing around you in all directions,
Above,
Below,
Behind you,
Beside you,
In front of you.
All around space,
Stars,
Planets,
And light.
Now breathe.
Breathe into the emptiness of your being,
Into the space that is expanding inside you.
Let the stars outside of you meet the stars inside yourselves.
Observe the expansion of light all around.
Feel what it is to be still,
To be radiant,
To simply be at one with the grace of being.
Just feeling space as it flows with ease inside you,
Outside of you.
No delineation between you and space.
And breathe as a being made of space and stars and galaxies,
Incarnate in a body for just a moment.
How do you wish to share your light when you re-enter earth in your body,
In your home,
In your world?
Can you let the grace of your spacious being guide your day?
Can you let this wide open self lead the way?
Your only charge to stay open in every moment of every precious day,
To let go.
To choose to simply say yes or no by the sensation,
The knowing.
Does this choice allow me to stay open or want to close?
And choose the path that allows you to remain open with ease and allows your spirit to flow.
It's that simple.
Every choice,
Every crossroads,
A simple yes to open,
A no to the path that makes you feel closed.
And in this,
Remain in the flow,
As the flow,
Wide open.
And so it is.
You're safe.
