This is one of those sessions which is very important.
Especially for us who are on a spiritual path,
Whether you're seeking or healing,
Awakening,
Or just practicing,
Mastering,
Embodying,
Integrating,
All of these spiritual things that we do.
And it's so easy to get so serious about it,
So worked up about it,
So heavy about it.
And so I want to remind you today that this journey is ultimately is a joke.
It's just fun actually.
And so therefore a sense of lightness,
A sense of humor,
A sense of not being too serious.
You can be sincere on your path,
You can be respectful towards this journey.
But taking it too seriously,
As with anything,
Will just ruin the fun.
It will take away the joy,
The adventure,
The gift of this journey.
And you will just feel like you're on a roller coaster,
Which is either of fear or sometimes maybe feeling good,
But you're never really enjoying the ride.
You're kind of like in this resistance and contracted mode,
Where sometimes you feel a release,
But most often than not you're contracted and not having fun at all.
But what if you could have fun all the time?
And not to force it,
But to just remember that this journey is all about surprise,
Adventure,
Fun.
So after you heal,
After maybe you have a cry or release or whatever,
Come back to just having fun,
Come back to laughter,
Come back to that cosmic joke,
The seeker seeking itself,
The one being healed,
Who is already perfect,
Embodying which is already you.
So all of these paradoxes are part of the journey,
But nevertheless it is a paradox and that's the joke.
If you can get the joke,
Then you're having fun.
You're not judging yourself,
You're not criticizing yourself,
You're not comparing yourself,
You're simply enjoying the ride,
The game of life,
Which is ultimately the game of spiritual growth.
And also not to escape anything with having fun or laughter,
Meaning that you don't want to use fun or laughter as a bypassing mechanism so that you can avoid doing the work.
All I'm suggesting is that you bring back the fun,
You bring back that laughter,
Because many times we could sometimes try to come back to laughter without going through the process of crying and releasing and healing.
So that's not what I'm suggesting,
Because it is important to go through these feelings,
Go through this process,
No matter what happens for you.
So remember that,
Never try to bypass any process,
Go through it,
Face it,
Face the fear or whatever healing you're going through,
But just remembering to come back to lightness,
To fun,
To laughter,
To the joke of life.
Never take yourself seriously and that is the marker of spiritual maturity.
That you don't even take your journey seriously.
Sincerely,
Yes,
But not seriously.
Or yourself,
Like where are you on your path?
How perfect are you on your spiritual path?
All of this is just mental performance,
Now disguised as spiritual path.
But spiritual path is really just fun,
Right?
Yeah,
Sometimes it feels like dark night of the soul or suffering.
Yes,
That's part of it,
But you see,
That is the fun of it.
That is the roller coaster.
If the roller coaster is always on the top,
Then there's no fun.
In the same way,
When you have these states,
Sometimes you're feeling high and sometimes you go back into the depths of your shadow of a suffering,
Of some kind of loss,
Grief,
Fear,
And that is that down,
Right?
But take it as that,
Just like that.
You don't have to make anything out of it.
You don't have to make it very significant.
Oh,
Just I'm going like this.
Let's enjoy the ride.
And then the only way from there is to go up.
Because that's the nature of paths.
So then enjoy that as well.
Don't get lost also in the high,
Because then the tendency comes in.
Okay,
When I'm feeling super good,
Super connected to myself,
Then I'm just gonna get attached to that and indulge in that.
Also,
Don't do that.
Don't take yourself too seriously then also,
Or your path too seriously.
Look,
I'm awakened.
Look,
I am so good now,
Healed and perfect.
But next thing you know,
You are triggered.
And that's the fun I'm talking about.
You thought you were over that trigger,
But it came in a new way,
With a new angle,
With a new layer.
And now you're triggered again.
So you go back into the healing,
You go back then up.
And this is the fun of this journey.
Never ever get attached to one state,
One process,
Or become identified with it.
Don't.
Just don't get identified with any of it.
The up and the down.
You're not the one being healed,
Or you're not the seeker.
You're not also the awakened one.
You're also not the embodied one.
You're not the perfect human,
Or you're also not just God.
You are human and God and everything and nobody.
And that is the joke,
That is the paradox.
You're everything,
Including nothing.
So have a laugh about it.
Have some giggles,
Have some fun.
This is the path.
And that is also part of your free will.
How do you take this path?
You can have really tensed face and go through this.
Just like a roller coaster again,
I keep coming back to the roller coaster metaphor,
Which is that you could be tensed in your face when you're going through a roller coaster,
Or you could just be really like shouting and,
You know,
Just in the fear,
Or you could just be laughing or having fun,
Just enjoying the waves.
It's really your will,
Your free will,
How you take it.
It's the same roller coaster,
Same up and down.
So then only your reaction is different.
And in the same way,
It's same thing with the spiritual journey.
Same healing,
Same journey,
Same awakening.
What do you do after?
Or how do you react to it or respond to it?
It's totally up to you.
So right now,
Whatever you're going through,
Just change the expression on your face.
Not by forcing it,
But just by remembering what I'm saying.
Totally up to you what expression you have on your face.
This is part of free will.
You're not bound by one mood,
By one expression.
You can always come back to laughter,
To fun,
To enjoyment,
To joy.
Such an important lesson,
As I said,
Such an important reminder,
Because usually I'm reminding you of yourself,
Of your path,
How to be better at it,
How to be more conscious,
More aware.
And today's kind of like the background reminder of how to take this journey.
It's not just about what you do,
But how you do it.
It's so important.
Again,
The same thing.
You can have a very serious meditation practice.
You could be very devoted on your spiritual path,
But then how you do it is totally up to you.
You could be really controlling,
Like you could be a monk or a sadhu,
A devotee who's very serious and maybe even kind of like judgmental of people who are not like you.
Or you could be doing the same things,
Or not the same things,
But maybe similar kind of devotion,
Similar meditation practice.
But you may be living a life of joy,
Of laughter,
Of having fun,
Going on adventures,
Doing your job in the most joyful way you can,
And learning your lessons,
And being aware,
Being conscious.
You see,
The path could be same,
But how you walk that path is up to you.
You could be dancing and singing and walking,
Or you could be walking very seriously.
Same path,
Same path.
And I'm not here to tell you how to walk.
I'm just here to remind you your options.
How you can respond,
How you can walk.
And it's always your choice.
