This recording is a guided meditation to touch in with the heart of awareness.
Awareness is all there is.
The heart of awareness is particular flavor,
Or in Sanskrit rasa.
This flavor of the heart is that of connection,
Compassion,
And openness.
The heart of awareness is limitless.
This simply a location where awareness rests or besides.
In the body,
Both physical and energetic,
A heart of awareness is located in the chest region,
Specifically from navel to throat,
Navel to third eye depending on the text.
The heart of awareness encompasses the physical heart.
It is larger and more subtle.
To begin,
Let us first remember that we are not creating or working towards a certain experience.
We are getting curious,
Quiet,
And exploring the heart of awareness as it is.
Turn attention to awareness.
That which is behind the eyes that see the thing that is aware of the thoughts that isn't the mind.
The silent,
Vast,
Loving presence within which everything occurs.
Awareness is the formless ground.
Place your attention on awareness as it occurs within the heart space.
This may require a descent of focus from the headspace,
A dropping into the chest from the mind where most of us reside.
You can visualize a lotus in the heart space.
Another option is to visualize or feel the heart space as a sea.
Emotions may arise as they're strongly held in the heart space.
Let them be,
Though they are not the focus of this meditation.
The true heart of awareness goes beyond emotion.
Straight to true compassion.
Instead of focusing on any emotions,
Listen and feel quietly for the specific unwavering quality of the heart.
It appears whenever you look for it,
Whenever you feel into it.
A quiet,
Loving presence.
Notice and sit with this heart of awareness.
At this point,
We can introduce some breathing technique,
This meditation.
So on the inhale,
Feel into the center of the chest or the heart space.
On the exhale,
Feel the heart space radiate out beyond the body,
Maybe even beyond your energy body.
A few times together,
Inhaling into the center,
Exhaling,
Radiating out.
Inhale into the center.
Exhale,
Radiate out.
Continue this at your own natural pace,
Your own rhythm of breath.
In the Sanskrit,
The word heart,
Hudaya,
Can mean resting place.
And so with each inhale and exhale,
Explore resting into this place of the heart.
Inhaling into the center.
Exhaling,
Radiating out.
Exhaling,
Radiating out.
Exhaling,
Radiating out.
Exhaling,
Radiating out.
The more often we turn toward the heart of awareness,
The more we open our own divine heart.
We radiate the quiet,
Loving presence of the heart.
May it be of benefit to all beings.
Thank you.
