This short orientation offers gentle guidance on how to approach the practices in this space. It’s not a lesson and not a set of rules — just a few grounding reminders to help you feel safer, less pressured, and more at ease as you practice. In this track, you’ll hear: What not to expect from these practices Why there’s no “right way” to meditate Common things that get in the way — named without judgment Permission to go at your own pace, pause, or stop at any time These practices are designed to support nervous system regulation and self-awareness, not to fix you or push for change. Simply listening is enough. You can listen to this once, return to it anytime, or skip it altogether. If you’re not sure where to begin after this, A Gentle Reset for an Overloaded Day is a supportive place to start.

Before you begin,

I want to share a few gentle notes about how to use these practices.

Not rules,

Not instructions,

Just orientation,

So you don't have to figure it out on your own.

You can listen to this once or skip it entirely,

There is nothing you need to remember.

It's only purpose is to help you feel safer and more at ease as you practice.

First,

Something important.

There is no right way to do this.

If your mind wanders,

That's normal.

If you feel nothing,

That's normal.

If you feel restless,

Bored,

Or distracted,

That's normal too.

These practices aren't about getting into a special state or making something happen.

We are not trying to release anything,

We are not trying to fix anything.

We are simply giving your nervous system a little space to settle on its own way.

Even listening without concentrating is enough.

A few things commonly get in the way,

And it can help just to name them.

Some people try to do the practice correctly,

There is no correct here.

Some wait for something big to happen,

A feeling,

A shift,

A breakthrough.

Often,

Nothing dramatic happens,

And that's perfectly fine.

Some notice their mind wandering and judge themselves for it.

Wandering doesn't mean you are failing,

It means you are human.

And sometimes,

People use practice as a way to push through exhaustion instead of resting and reaching out for support.

If you notice any of this,

You don't need to change them,

Just noticing is already enough.

Another important thing,

You are always in charge of your pace.

If something feels like too much,

You can stop.

Stopping is not failure,

Stopping is success.

You might open your eyes,

Move your body,

Or switch to a different track.

Especially the shorter,

Grounding ones.

These practices are meant to support you,

Not override your instincts.

One last note about scope.

These practices are designed to support regulation and self-awareness.

They are not therapy,

And they are not a substitute for professional support.

If you are dealing with trauma,

Panic,

Or overwhelming distress,

Working with a qualified professional is a wise and supportive next step.

Using meditation alongside support is often more helpful than trying to do everything on your own.

That's all.

You don't need to hold on to any of this.

Just know that you are welcome here,

Exactly as you are.

If you are not sure where to begin,

A gentle reset for an overloaded day is a good place to start.

And if today isn't the day,

That's okay too.

You can always return.

Thank you.
