Welcome to day 16,
The inner gardener.
Begin by feeling at home where you are right now.
Take a look around.
If you want you can close your eyes and listen to the sounds.
Just listen without having to change anything.
Now turn away from the outside.
Turn your attention inside.
What's going on in your breath?
Follow your breath as careful as you can throughout the body.
Inhaling all the way from the toes up through your belly,
Chest,
Throat and head.
And then exhale.
Like a wave of relaxation flowing down through your body.
Let your shoulders drop.
You can release some of the tension,
Some of these armor plates.
With every breath release some energy.
Gain some clarity.
And transform your nerves of steel into nerves of light.
Do you know what happens if you stop weeding in a garden?
It ends up full of weeds.
It's a little bit the same with the mind.
Every activity leaves a track,
A seed in your mind and body.
With your every action you are growing habits.
Everything you do is becoming part of your garden of habits.
But if you are not planting the right seeds,
Making the right calls,
Good deeds,
A garden of habits can become a garden of weeds.
Do you have some bad habits?
Most of us do.
When we are not aware of our actions and the consequences,
It's only natural that habits form,
Which do not serve our true self,
Our deepest and most honest way of living.
Then our garden of habits becomes full of weeds.
So let's use your breath to bring new air to your garden.
Let in some sunlight of awareness.
Release all tensions and ideas that have been growing for too long.
Decompose all the weeds and decompose all the bad habits one by one.
They make a great soil to grow wisdom in,
To learn from your bad habits how to truly live,
To spread some love in your garden,
So that the really amazing habits can flourish.
Your habits of taking care of yourself and others,
Your habits of slowing down,
Of focus,
Your habits of health,
Kindness to your own body.
The breath helps you in this process,
And it doesn't happen in a day.
Every time you fall back into some old habit that does not serve the best version of yourself,
Remember that it's a lifetime project to grow your inner garden.
Every time you hear a bitter judgmental voice in your mind telling you that it's impossible,
You should know better,
And you can never change.
Just take a look at the trees.
They grow for hundreds of years,
Just a few centimeters each year.
With that kind of patience,
You can grow the best of habits,
And make the best version of yourself flourish.
Congratulations,
You have finished day 16 and begun your career as an inner gardener.
