Many of us love to watch zombie apocalypse movies.

The great irony is that we are already living in a zombie apocalypse.

What do I mean?

If you travel to the closest city and head to the busiest walking district,

Perhaps the subway during rush hour,

Look at the faces of the people around you.

Are they really alive?

Truly alive,

Happy and radiant?

Or are they more like half dead,

Going from place to place on autopilot,

Like zombies or machines?

Most of us live in the matrix.

It's our every day,

And even though we have glimpses of awakening into a more real reality,

It's not easy to live it when everyone around you do their best to uphold the rule of the empire.

There are red pills however,

Plenty of them,

And we are going to play with four different pills today.

Imaginary red pills that when taken,

Let us take a step out from the machine-like existence into the living world again.

The first pill is your wrath,

Reclaiming our own innate power,

This beastial,

Beautiful tornado,

Volcano torrent of power that is lurking deep in your roots.

You're going to need it to break free from the zombie curse.

Why?

Because the system is not going to let you out without a struggle.

The system loves zombies because it can keep draining them.

Just like the unconscious human bodies in the matrix,

Zombies can be drained and drained of their life source,

Feeding the big corporations and the grotesquely wealthy.

Remember that we live in a world where three American men owns as much money and thus power as half of the US population.

As three men owning as much money as 150 million people.

And this skewed number isn't unique to the US,

Similar numbers appear in all nations across the earth.

This grave inequality can be such an incredible fuel for your fire.

This fire of the dragon,

Like Daenerys against the emperors in Slaver's Bay.

If we don't access this holy wrath inside us,

We're not going to see any change happening anytime soon.

Look at our sisters throughout history.

Women were never given the rights.

They reclaimed them,

Step by step,

Demonstration by demonstration,

Disobedience by disobedience,

Just like the millions and millions of African American slaves.

The empire doesn't give anything freely without expecting something in return.

Women,

Tired of being owned as property,

Of being treated as less than,

Tired of legalized rape and sexualization,

They rose together and shattered the Gilead world we used to live in and demanded equal rights.

This is why powerful women are so feared by the empire.

They are made fun of,

Ridiculed,

To try to remove them from their power.

Why do you think the witches were burned?

They possessed that power,

So they had to be removed by the church.

But they are coming back.

Thank goddess for that.

And because of the tragic history of the past millennials,

Men who embody this power and this wrath are considered very fearful.

And the imprints of fear buried in our DNA,

We see a man who embodied his raw and wild power as a man that's either going to kill us,

Rape us,

Or act out any kind of violence to us.

This is simply how powerful men have used their power for centuries.

So as a man,

It can be quite a challenge to embody healthy power again,

Looking at how most of the world's graves,

Crimes,

And genocides were caused by men.

It's quite an ugly legacy.

It's an ugly legacy,

Especially for a white-skinned,

Caucasian,

Blue-eyed man like myself.

And that is the challenge,

Then,

To be this new kind of man that breaks all these old patterns of toxic masculinity and replaces them with a wholesome,

Flourishing masculinity.

And what about those beautiful and brave human beings who are not identifying as neither man or woman,

Then?

Why do you think the HBTQ movement stirs something so deep in people?

Why do you think it offends people and alerts the political and religious institutions?

It disrupts the power structures,

The patriarchal traditions.

It's weird,

It's strange.

The institutions can't deal with it.

It has no place in the Holy Scriptures or the laws of marriage.

And yet it's always been here.

Gay people are not new.

They've been around since the first humans.

And thankfully they're rising their rainbow flag for all of us.

For all of us,

Because we will never be free as a people unless all of us are free.

It's the same struggle,

More or less,

Be it slaves fighting for their freedom,

People demonstrating for democracy,

Women,

Indigenous people,

Or the HBTQ community struggling for equal rights.

It's the ancient struggle against oppression and against all that's not right and just in this world.

And the struggle needs powerful voices like your own.

Wrath in itself is not going to take us all away.

But if we cannot find this power in ourselves,

We will likely succumb to the dark entities that lurk in the shadows,

Doing their best to oppress us,

To suppress our voices and get us back in the lines of the empire.

The second pill is a radical thought.

The thought that you don't owe the system anything.

In fact you don't owe anyone anything.

Guilt and debt is the perfect way to keep everyone in check.

So no wonder we are all in big debt.

Nations are in debt to each other.

Companies are in debt to the shareholders and investors.

Our whole economy is built upon debt and guilt.

I borrow you so you have to repay me.

We are expected to put ourselves in debts of hundreds of thousands of dollars just to own a house to live in.

Dollars we have to pay high interest fees off for a loan that has been created out of thin air by financial corporations.

We are also expected to put ourselves in debt to be able to get an education in order to contribute to society.

Then the people at the fringe,

The people who don't work,

Who can't work,

Who have fallen out of the system,

Often because of diseases that are directly caused from living in the system such as stress related illnesses,

Those people we call parasites and frown upon.

And when the whole debt based system crashes like it did in the 2008 financial crisis,

The lower classes pay the price.

Students bail out the private banks.

People lose their retirement money.

They get evicted from their homes and fall into depression.

All of this debt is in stark contrast to unconditional love and gifting.

When we give from our hearts,

We don't need anything in return.

Giving in itself is the reward.

Remember this,

When people play the other game with you,

The game of blaming,

Shaming,

Of guilt and debt,

Remember that you can always say no.

Simply stop playing that game with them and see what happens.

They might become upset of course,

But you are doing us all a favor by playing a more honest and beautiful game,

A game of life where we give when we can out of love without needing anything in return.

We could build such an incredible world together if we played this other game a little bit more.

And this radical thought of not owing anything to anyone goes for your parents and partners well.

Your partners chose to give birth to you.

They made their decision.

Now you are here.

You don't owe them anything.

Nada.

Niech.

That's not to say you can't feel an endless gratefulness to them for bringing you here and doing their best to raise you.

And that's not to overlook that you can do such an important healing work with forgiveness and reconciliation with your parents.

We'll get to that in the later sessions in this course.

But you don't owe them anything.

You don't owe anyone anything,

Not the system,

Not your parents,

Not even God.

You are free.

Free here on earth,

In your beauty,

Your darkness,

With all your shit and all your talents.

Debit based love,

Guilt based love will not take us through this revolution of humanity.

So screw that old patriarch and matriarch trying to control you,

Baiting your ancestors,

Your parents,

Your partner,

Your boss or so called friends.

The real love is the one that flows freely,

Like a butterfly.

It jumps and blesses the flowers.

It soars in the sky and blesses all with its presence,

Not needing anything in return,

Not expecting anything in return.

This is the real divinity.

Not the divinity in the patriarchal institutions with the so called original sin that we have been messed up with over the past millenials.

The original innocence,

The original freedom.

Just remember you don't owe anyone anything unless you want to.

Phew,

Let's take a deep breath and fall this amazing air around us.

They only did so with food,

Houses,

Land and water.

Air is still free.

The third pill is your crazy tribe.

Your Nebuchadnezzar crew of like minded soul driven people.

It's impossible to be the only fish swinging against the stream.

We need our close circle of friends,

We're on board the same ship as us.

Sooner or later we're going to fall back into that darkness again.

And then we need someone to be able to hold us gently and help us back on track.

Have you found them already?

If not,

Now is the time to start looking for them,

Calling for them in your heart,

Your Sangha,

Your spiritual companions sharing your path.

Many of us have been told that we should strive for independence,

But interdependence is where the real happiness and peace is found.

Just like a tree that cannot grow without soil,

The sun and the rain,

We cannot grow and flourish without our friends.

The last pill is very frightening,

Very very powerful.

Nothing scares the empire like this one.

The rebellion of play.

There was a time in our history when dancing,

Singing and painting wasn't only for the select few.

In the old times of humanity,

Everyone could sing.

Everyone in the tribe could join the dance and everyone could paint and play,

No matter the age,

Gender or profession.

Look at our older brothers and sisters,

Indigenous families.

Everyone sings.

Everyone can dance and paint.

It's part of a good human life,

Not a professional career which few can follow.

Today we don't have time to play.

We don't have time for arts,

For dancing,

Singing and painting.

Playing is not productive.

Therefore we only allow our children to play,

Dance,

Sing and paint freely.

For the rest of us,

We have to watch the professional singers and dancers on the TV instead,

And the professional painters in the art exhibitions.

Part of our cultural illness is that everything we are doing must give a result.

Everything must lead to improvement,

To refinement,

To development.

But then we are never truly here,

In the present moment.

We are stuck in the goal-oriented mode,

Forever fixated on the outcome,

The end result of becoming better.

So it's time to continue the revolution by playing.

Singing,

Dancing,

Painting,

Expressing your creativity for the sake of itself.

But I can't sing.

I'm tone deaf.

I can't dance.

I can't paint.

I can't create anything.

This is the voice of cultural oppression handed to you as you grow up,

Either in school or at home.

Ignore this voice.

It's not serving you,

Honestly.

The solution is right in front of you.

It's to do whatever you enjoy doing.

Take time for yourself and your own needs.

When you begin to do things for themselves rather than to strive for a future reward,

You likely encounter some of these huge mental voices,

Either inside your own head or from people around you.

You're not doing anything good with your time.

You're so egoistic,

Thinking only of yourself.

You're wasting your life.

You live like a parasite,

Feeding off the hard work of others.

The truth is that the hard work of others is what has led our civilization to the predicament we find ourselves in right now,

With the biosphere on the brink of collapse and economic injustices so grandiose that they would make Karl Marx turn in his grave.

Let us end this session with a quote from the vast internet.

If you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened,

Dispirited or depressed,

They would ask you one of four questions.

When did you stop dancing?

When did you stop singing?

When did you stop being enchanted by stories?

When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?
