This Peacebeam session brings the user into breath and heart coherence. In this peacebeam, Jane teaches us how to access to the power of our breath, the constant backdrop of our lives. By connecting to its constancy and gentle kindness we learn to see it as an anchor that is always there for us, no matter how stressed or anxious we might get. This peacebeam can be used individually or as one day of the BeginBright series.

Hi,

Welcome to Peacebeam.

Let's begin.

Step one,

Notice.

Just take a moment to tune into yourself.

How are you feeling today?

Are you anxious,

Relaxed,

Happy?

Just notice how you feel.

Step two,

Breathe.

Just rest your attention now on your breath and continue to breathe normally but just start to notice the breath moving in and out and just watch it for a few moments.

And now just gently extend your inhale and your exhale so you're breathing just a little deeper but in your own natural rhythm.

And as you feel some ease start to arrive in your body just imagine that your breath is moving in and out through your heart.

Going deep into your heart and as you breathe out it's a breath out of your heart and just be there for a few moments breathing.

Step three,

Activate.

Today we're going to learn how to breathe.

Not the mechanical in for two,

Out for two kind of breathing but realizing that it's a sort of miracle.

We tend to think of our lives in terms of time but actually they are measured in breaths.

From the first moment that you've inhaled the air of planet Earth to the very last is the span of your life and when we start to look at it like this we begin to learn about how precious our breath is.

It literally connects us to and measures our life.

The background to every event,

Every thought,

Every emotion,

Every sensation is our breath always available to you and as we learn to connect to its constancy,

To its gentle kindness,

Keeping you alive,

We can begin to learn its power.

How when we are anxious or overwhelmed or afraid our breath never leaves us.

Even if it gets a little bit shorter it still keeps us tethered to the moment that we are in.

Empathetic to the emotions and the passions that run through us but never really altering not since you were born.

Think of that,

Its constancy and companionship and breathe,

Breathe,

Breathe.

Feel the gratitude well up for this miraculous thing and when things get a bit much today come back to this and breathe.

Step four,

Beam.

As you feel yourself expand into your breath and relax into that calm,

Imagine that with every breath you are wishing unrestricted good for yourself and for everyone whose path crosses yours today and anchor this practice by setting an intention today that every breath you take adds to the atmosphere of peace around you,

For you and for everybody else.

Have a beautiful day.
