Hello and welcome to this pain love meditation.
I'm Charmaine and I'm very honored to travel on this journey with you as we acknowledge and address the pain in your body.
I invite you to gently lie down or have a seat in a chair,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
Making sure you're supported and comforted with pillows and blankets.
I invite you to close down your eyes and begin to notice the breath.
Noticing the breath in your body.
Noticing the inhale,
Noticing the exhale.
Inhaling,
Exhaling.
We're going to step into a journey of the body.
I invite you to begin to notice where you're experiencing pain or discomfort in this moment.
Perhaps it's in the neck or the shoulders or the low back.
Perhaps it's a headache or a migraine.
Maybe your tummy is chatty,
GI issues.
Perhaps the joints remind you of their function with arthritis or just generalized joint pain.
Is there a racing heart due to anxiety?
Restless leg syndrome?
Acknowledging neuropathy?
Maybe sleep has been a little challenged lately.
Whatever it is for you,
Feel into the pain,
Feel into the discomfort.
What does it feel like to you right now?
Is there sadness,
Frustration,
Grief,
Anger,
Fear?
Just acknowledging the emotion that comes through when you notice the pain.
Pain in your body is your body's way of expressing,
Expressing what's going on within the physical body,
The emotional body,
The mental body,
The spiritual body.
Just noticing,
Being with the pain.
It's okay if it's uncomfortable.
Discomfort and pain wants to be heard and seen.
It wants to be acknowledged.
And wherever you're feeling the discomfort or pain in your body,
I invite you now to breathe into that area.
Maybe it's one specific area or multiple areas.
We're acknowledging it through breath.
So sending a breath into the pain,
Sending a breath out of the pain.
I'm going to step in silence as you breathe in and out of the discomfort for a few minutes.
Breathing into pain,
Breathing out of the pain.
Beautiful job.
Begin to notice the areas of pain.
Have they lessened?
They feel lighter?
No force here,
Just noticing.
This may come with time and practice.
As you continue to acknowledge and listen to the discomfort in the body,
It will lessen.
It will decrease.
Your body loves you.
I invite you now to begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Perhaps you want to stretch your arms overhead if that's available to you.
Point your toes,
Or just stay where you're at,
Resting comfortably.
On your next inhale,
Begin to open your eyes,
Taking in the surroundings.
It's been an honor exploring and lessening pain in the body with you today.
I wish you a blissful day.
Namaste.
