Welcome to a new day.

Let's prepare you to start and move forward.

Let's take a moment to recognize your healing capacity.

Let's take a moment to recognize your leading capacity.

And let's take a moment to recognize your loving capacity.

Not only what you hold for others,

But for yourself.

Find a comfortable,

Quiet place for your mind to settle.

And settle.

Slowly relax your eyes and let them shut.

Take a deep breath in.

And take a deep breath out.

Let your jaw loosen,

Your lips part,

Your tongue relax.

And take a deep breath in.

Take a deep breath out.

Let your shoulders relax and soften slowly.

Breathe.

And relax.

Let your hips and back fall into whatever is supporting you.

Take a deep breath in.

Take a deep breath out.

This is your time.

Time you've taken for yourself.

You are important.

You matter.

And you must take this time to come first before you can go and serve others.

Connect with the breath.

Today will be a good day.

You don't have to take on the stress of the patients.

You don't have to take on the stress of the families.

You do not have to know all the answers.

Take a deep breath in.

You don't have to be perfect.

You don't have to fix anyone.

There is no perfect way to do the work.

Today we feel ourselves through the work.

Let's imagine a ball of light.

A bright ball.

A warm ball of light right in the center of your heart.

I want you to breathe right into that ball.

A deep breath in.

And a deep breath out.

You were born with this light.

And you'll always possess it.

Take a deep breath in.

You can return to this light anytime that you want.

It will never run out.

Take a deep breath in.

And take a deep breath out.

This light is here to energize you.

To center you.

To guide you.

This light is your breath.

Continue to breathe.

And know your breath in.

And know your breath out.

Let the tone start to take hold.

And if your mind wanders as it should.

And it's okay for it to wander.

Gently bring it back to knowing you're breathing in.

This has been one of my regular pre-work meditations. As a bedside nurse in this pandemic, more than ever it has been necessary to stay grounded and calm. This meditation helps a lot. Many thanks for creating a track especially for healthcare personnel!

VERY helpful. I am not on the frontlines of physical health, but am a mental health clinician. The steep uptick of anxiety, traumas, depression, etc as the result of nearly 7 months of quarantined existence have definitely taken a toll. I have compassion fatigue and have neglected myself. all of your meditations help me, and this one was no different.
