Welcome to this relaxation meditation.

Start by getting into a comfortable position.

Now bring your attention to your breathing.

The inward and outward breath.

Start by taking a deep breath in.

Holding your breath for a few seconds.

And then breathe out again.

And keeping your focus on your breathing.

Breathe in again.

Hold for a few seconds.

Hold for a few seconds.

And breathe out.

We're drawing our attention back into our body.

Slowing our heart rate down as we focus on our breathing.

Allowing our mind and body to enter a deep state of relaxation.

And take another breath in.

Hold for a few seconds.

And out again.

And one more time.

In.

Hold for a few seconds.

And out again.

You might find that your attention moves to your thoughts.

If you catch that,

Don't worry.

Just bring your focus back towards your breathing.

As you remember to breathe in.

Hold for a few seconds.

And breathe out again.

And as we do this rhythmic breathing.

We send a deep signal to our subconscious mind.

That we're in a safe and relaxed place.

And we can fully and totally relax.

Now take a moment to start counting back in your head.

And deeper.

Into a state of pure relaxation.

And if your mind wanders.

That's absolutely fine.

When you catch it,

Just bring it back.

To counting down the numbers.

And as you feel all of the muscles in your body.

Release their tension.

You quickly scan.

Up and down.

Throughout your body.

Releasing any final bit of tension.

Any stress.

Left behind.

Moving slowly up.

From your toes.

Your feet.

Your ankles.

Up to your shins.

And calves.

Passing over your knees.

And gradually moving up your thighs.

Releasing all of that tension.

From your large leg muscles.

As you move up towards your groin.

And that wave of relaxation.

Continues up.

Over your hips.

To the lower part of your back.

Up to your abdomen.

Filling your spine.

And back.

Soothingly relax.

As your chest releases all of that tension.

Moving further upwards.

Past your stomach.

Up to your heart.

Feeling a huge wave.

Of love and gratitude.

As you pass.

Moving slowly up.

To your shoulders.

As you feel that relaxing energy.

Pass over your upper back.

Joining it.

Is a wave of relaxation.

Coming from your fingertips.

Up through your hand.

Your wrists.

Your forearms.

Your elbows.

Your biceps.

And triceps.

As every muscle in your arms.

Relaxes.

Joining that relaxing wave of energy.

Giving a soothing massage.

At the top of your back and shoulders.

Now slowly moving up.

Releasing all of the stress and tension.

As that relaxing wave.

Moves slowly,

Slowly.

Up towards your throat.

As you feel your jaw begins to relax.

The wave of relaxation.

Starts to pass.

Over the back of your head.

Passing up to your mouth and lips.

Moving up.

To your nose.

Your cheek muscles.

Moving up to your eyes.

Up to your forehead.

Past your eyebrows.

Feeling your whole scalp.

As all of your facial muscles.

Enter a deep state of relaxation.

And as you're in this state.

Of total deep relaxation.

You're perfect.

Just the way you are.

All of your troubles.

Wisp and fade away.

Just like dark clouds.

In the sky.

Any thoughts you might have.

Any negativity.

Just forms a black cloud in the sky.

And is slowly blown away.

By the relaxing wind.

And any thoughts and tension.

Any stress that you might have left.

Passes up into these grey clouds.

As you see them slowly.

Drift away.

Taking any negative emotions you might have.

Far far away.

And you realise.

As you have a thought.

It forms a white fluffy cloud.

And we can let go of these thoughts.

And allow them to fly away.

Gently with the wind.

Revealing the beautiful sun.

Left behind.

Beaming down on us.

Like a warm summers day.

And as we feel the warmth and heat of the sun.

We realise that this is our true nature.

That of love,

Happiness and positivity.

And that we can return to this state.

Any time we think of this clear sky.

And any time a thought appears.

Any anxious behaviours.

We realise these are just dark clouds forming in the sky.

And as we let go of our attachment to these thoughts.

As we understand they are temporary.

And we can choose to let them go.

We release them from the sky.

And allow them to blow away.

In the nice gentle wind of our mind.

Leaving behind that clear beautiful sky.

And that loving warmth.

That you bathe in right now.

Take a moment.

To absorb all that heat and warmth.

Knowing you are perfect.

Just as you are.

Knowing you can return.

To this state at any time you choose.

By simply breathing.

A deep breath out.

And blowing those troublesome thoughts away.

Revealing your perfect self.

Just as you are meant to be.

And you will carry this image.

Of your perfect self.

With you throughout the rest of the day.

And into the next.

And slowly.

You allow feeling to return to your body.

You allow your senses to wake up once more.

All the time.

Carrying the love and warmth of that sun.

Beaming down on you.

As you slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Sensing your body return to you.

And you can gently open your eyes.

Knowing you can return to this state.

At any time you choose.
