G'day,
This is Paul Pettit and welcome to a 4 minute breathwork mindfulness meditation.
The intention of the breathwork practice is to allow you to reset your level of calm.
I invite you to put aside your to-do list and simply listen to my voice and the instructions just for the next few minutes.
Give yourself permission to be right here,
Right now.
There's nothing you need to do.
There's nowhere you need to be.
Get yourself settled.
Close your eyes and just take a long slow breath in through the nose and then exhale.
Long slow gentle breath out through the mouth.
Are you ready?
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
On your next breath,
I invite you to feel the breath coming in through the nostrils,
Down your throat,
Into your chest.
Pause and sit with that and then gently exhale,
Feeling the breath.
On this next breath,
Say to yourself,
The breath is smooth and feel the smooth breath.
And exhale.
On your next breath,
As you inhale,
Just say gently to yourself,
The mind is clear.
And just allow yourself to concentrate on the inhalation of your breath and feel how it clears your mind.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
And remember to just drop those shoulders gently as you exhale.
Repeat this for a moment and say to yourself,
The breath is smooth,
The mind is clear and feel the breath is smooth and the mind clearing.
On your next breath,
Feel your body become calm and say to yourself,
The breath is smooth,
The mind is clear and the body is calm.
And feel the breath,
The mind and the body.
The breath is smooth,
The mind is clear,
The body is calm.
When you hear the bell,
Gently bring yourself back into the room,
Opening your eyes and enjoy the reset.
