Welcome to the mindfulness meditation awareness of breath you can do this practice in a relaxed place with minimal distractions being in a sitting posture straight but not rigid in the chair or the yoga mat a posture of dignity just breathe take a moment to relax be aware of the part of your body where you can clearly notice your breath maybe you can feel it in your nose in the neck in the chest in your stomach just notice the breath coming in and out pay attention to the flow your breath in your body it's not necessary to change your breath or force it in any way just breathe as you normally do and pay attention as the air comes in and out of your body the breath coming in and out notice without judgment the flow of the breath moving in the same rhythm as the ocean waves remind yourself that there is no place to be or nothing to do right now just be here present with your breath as you breathe maybe you get distracted by a thought a feeling it doesn't matter if the distraction is pleasant or unpleasant just let it go without judgment without being rough with yourself and come back to the breath to the air moving in and out of your body it doesn't matter how many times you get distracted you can always return your attention to your breath to the present moment just breathe naturally be aware of the rhythm of your breath before ending this short meditation thank you for allowing yourself to practice mindfulness and recognize that is an act of love and self-care we can be at peace with everyone
