This is a ten-minute introduction to Caring and Kindness contemplative meditation. The reflective contemplation looks at how to begin aligning these all-important spiritual qualities within ourselves and thereby radiate this out into the world around us. The track has more of my own Sacred Music in the background. I have used the popular Buddhist chant Om Mani Pad Me Hum which translates means: "the path, the method and practice, the destination and its realization". Namaste

Well hello and welcome.

The topic of today's meditation is again opening the heart,

But this time from a slightly different angle to my 5 minute and 20 minute meditations.

So we'll be looking today at opening the heart from the perspective of compassion and empathy,

Caring and kindness,

Tolerance and the generally understood and accepted spiritual qualities.

So I'd like to invite us to take an easy comfortable seated position,

Sitting on the floor cross-legged or sitting in a chair.

Be comfortable with your back straight and spend a few moments centering into the presence.

Be here now and relax.

So as in the previous meditations we can breathe a little bit,

Emphasizing gently the exhalations.

Just keep your breathing natural,

Easy,

Comfortable,

Focusing on the flow.

Flow in and flow out,

Relaxing a little bit more every time you exhale.

That exhalation is really important for letting go,

Releasing,

Emptying out,

Emptying out residual tension that we hold in the body,

In the muscle groups,

Fascia,

The ligaments,

The tendons,

The bone.

Bone is crystalline in structure,

Is therefore programmable.

The water,

75% of our body is programmable.

So we need to be sure that we are first of all present-minded and that we have the intention,

The background intention and we're using our attention specifically,

But that background intention is to release,

To empty out,

To bring to neutral and equanimity in the moment.

So emptying out and releasing,

Emotional stress,

Releasing out and emptying,

Pluses and minuses,

Good and bad,

Right and wrong.

Set it all aside.

In this moment now,

There is a peace that can be found.

The future hasn't happened and the past is gone.

So we relax our skin,

Relax the face,

Breathe gently,

Come to our attention,

Present-minded.

Then I want us to turn our attention to the heart,

To the chest,

The physical heart and the psychic heart in the center of the chest.

When we look at something or when we focus on something that is our attention,

Whatever that is tends to grow.

So it develops in magnitude and size,

Emphasis and so this is a great simple way,

Simply turning our attention away from the busy analytical mind,

Turning our attention away from our common daily concerns,

Pluses and minuses,

Goods and bads,

What works,

What doesn't work and turning that attention into the heart,

Which is an essential foundational aspect of our soul.

Be gentle,

Be comfortable,

Be easy,

Be natural.

So we just naturally,

Easily,

Comfortably,

Almost as if we're just gazing into our own heart.

We're all familiar,

We've all experienced at some stage or possibly if we're lucky more often,

The qualities of kindness,

The qualities of compassion,

Empathy,

Even generosity,

Caring and kindness and tolerance.

And we've all experienced at some time within ourselves and in others and in our environment and experience in life,

We've all experienced wisdom.

There's something that is very lacking or very scarce in a commonly generally in our society.

So simply by turning our attention towards these qualities that can only arise in the direct knowing of the heart,

The direct knowledge and the foundation feeling.

This is not a conditioned feeling,

It is a feeling arising from direct knowing.

This is intuition expanded to a high level.

So by simply holding in remembrance the qualities of caring and kindness,

Compassion,

Empathy,

Tolerance,

By simply holding in remembrance these qualities,

The qualities of tolerance,

These qualities that arise in the heart,

They cannot arise from the rational and vertical mind,

Which is separated.

It's a bit like a computer,

Ones and noughts,

Logic and reason.

So these qualities of the heart,

These spiritual qualities,

Arise in the heart.

We turn our attention and focus gently into these qualities.

And as we said earlier,

What we focus on grows,

Where we focus our attention.

It's a little bit like shining a torch in a dark place.

So the illumination comes.

And that illumination is something that rises up within us.

It is a quality that we identify with on some level.

In resonance we begin to radiate that quality simply by looking at it frequently,

Being with.

The Tibetan word Gom,

If translated,

Means to become familiar with.

This is the word for meditation,

Aligning with,

Becoming familiar with the object that we're focusing on,

The subject of our meditation.

So as we make these commonly understood spiritual qualities of caring and kindness,

Tolerance,

Compassion,

Even generosity,

Possibly above all else,

Wisdom.

We need wisdom or any power that we use,

We tend to use to harm others or to harm ourselves or both.

When we harm others,

We generally do harm ourselves.

What goes around comes around.

So this is a very simple way of understanding the law of vibration frequency and what do we radiate and how do we ourselves radiate at what kind of frequency do we radiate at and out.

So my suggestion would be to keep it very simple and very easy,

But to practice regularly.

So not even to be heavily concerned with trying to change our own behavior and our own attitudes.

We need to understand that change is important and changing attitudes and behaviors and approaches is important.

We have to move,

We have to transcend,

But this is a great way of making that passage easier,

Almost smoothing the way.

So this is how I would like to introduce this today and I will carry on with the theme in later meditations.

I trust you've enjoyed,

Benefited.

Rich blessings to everybody.

Have a great day further and I will see you soon for the next one.

Namaste.
