This mindfulness meditation is an effective way to relax the body and calm the mind during stressful moments, by connecting with the breath, relaxing the body, and noticing the momentum of the mind. This is a great practice for building resilience in the mind and body.

Hi,

I'm Paula Naputano and I invite you to make yourself comfortable.

Allow your eyes to gently close if that's comfortable for you.

Let's take a moment to pause,

Breathe,

And let everything else go.

Let's begin.

Take a nice deep breath in through the nose and fully exhale through the mouth.

Good.

One more time,

Breathing in deeply and exhaling fully through the mouth.

Now allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm.

Notice your stomach and chest rise and fall each time you breathe in and each time you breathe out.

Each time you breathe in and each time you breathe out.

Notice how each breath follows after the other in a never-ending cycle and flow.

Bring your attention to the touch of your body on your seat,

Feeling the weight of your body on your chair or cushion.

Perhaps you notice you feel your body softening and relaxing,

Muscles loosening and your mind becoming calm.

If not,

Simply continue to focus on the sensations of breath in the body.

Let your focus on the breath lead your mind's attention and relax you further.

If you have any thoughts that come into your mind,

Feel free to let them know.

If you have any thoughts that come into your awareness,

Simply notice them and then let them drift away out of your awareness,

Observing them as if they were clouds in the sky or a wave on the ocean.

Simply enjoy this feeling of relaxation and connect with this feeling of calm within you.

Now slowly begin to bring your attention back to the room and when you're ready you can open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me in this practice today.

It's here for you to come back to anytime you need a break from stress and would like to reconnect to the calm within you.

Have a wonderful day.
