Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.

Take a comfortable seat or lie down.

Stand up whatever feels right for you and your body right now.

Bring your awareness to your breath as it moves in your body.

There is no need to change how the breath flows in and out.

Simply acknowledge how life breathes within.

No matter how shallow or deep,

Slow or fast the breath moves in you.

Simply give your attention to that miracle which your breath is.

How often do you take your breath for granted?

How often do you want your breath to be another way?

More this or more that?

Less like that and less like that.

What if the breath,

Exactly as it is,

Would be seen as the miracle that it is?

Simply moving in and out and in its simplicity holding a vast mystery.

That we can only observe as it happens.

Can you feel the breath reaching all of your body?

Not merely the nose or the throat or the lungs but moving through your belly,

Hips and knees.

Ankles and each one of your toes.

Like a wave without direction.

Alive in your body and beyond it.

Now feel your back side.

Resting on your chair,

Floor,

On the bed.

See if you can allow your back side to rest.

As your body grows more heavy,

Allowing gravity to pull towards the earth.

Bringing a sense of heaviness.

Allowing that heaviness to be felt in the body.

Are there any particular places that feel the pull of gravity more than others?

Maybe try to fight it and reach upwards.

Allow the breath to move where there is fear for gravity.

Fear of heaviness.

Fear of allowing rest.

See if you can allow your body to be received by the earth.

As gravity gently pulls you towards the earth and its soft embrace.

Nourishing embrace.

Allow for the thoughts and feelings that might tell your body that you need to get up,

You need to keep going.

There is no time,

You need to do this,

You need to do that.

Simply allow them to be pulled to the arms of the earth.

As the breath flows in and out in your body.

Freely in the heaviness where everything is as it is.

Embraced by the gravitational pull that connects you to the earth.

For nourishment and rest.

There might be layers in your body unwilling to trust the earth within.

Let them be reminded how there is no rush.

And in their own time each attempt to resist the gravitational pull is softened.

Giving in to the warm embrace of the earth.

Breathing in and out.

Allowing yourself to be received by the embrace of the earth.

The mystery of life.

As it begins to nourish each and every cell in your body.

And that restful allowance bringing vibrant aliveness.

See if you can feel the peaceful non-contradictory co-existence of rest and vibrant aliveness.

Just as the earth,

The human body shares the qualities of heaviness.

Warmth of a safe embrace.

And a vibrant aliveness of the creative playfulness.

Forever weaving new form.

As the miracle of breath moves in us.

We are the bearers of life.

Now take a deep breath all the way into the belly.

Through your hips and feet to the ground.

And with the out breath let it go,

Allow it to leave you.

Feel it to return again with the in breath.

Feel the restful aliveness in your fingers and toes.

Alive in your joints and spine.

As it connects the head and the torso.

As one you might want to move your spine a bit.

Or triangulate or wave and maybe bring some movement to your fingers and arms.

As this restful aliveness moves with the breath.

See if you can continue your day today.

Acknowledging the absolute miracle of the breath flowing in and out.

In the restful vibrancy that is you.

I thank you for joining me in this meditation.

And bless you in this moment.

Bye bye.
