Digesting Experiences - METTAbolization Meditation
This Metabolizing Meditation is an inner journey to more vitality because it helps to enhance holistic wellness - mind, body, and soul by digesting experiences. The meditation supports *metabolizing the happenings and resets body, mind, and soul alignment. Why does it work? In the practice, we go through the seven emotional centers of the body, which sit in the hormonal system. The intention is to let the body flow physically because it helps the flow of vitality to increase.
Transcript
Welcome to this metabolization meditation.
The intention of this meditation is to metabolize what has happened during the last weeks,
Months or even the last year.
There should be a fertile ground to let things go and hold on to new things and bring an opportunity to digest experiences.
The same way that we digest our food,
The body can also digest emotions,
Occurrences and even obstacles or thought patterns that may have arise during the last weeks or months.
So for this I invite you to have a moment to arrive.
Importantly find a position that works for you,
That's comfortable for you and where you don't fall asleep.
If you are ready,
Then let's go.
Invite yourself into yourself with your breath.
Why do you notice your breath most vividly right now?
The abdomen,
In the chest,
Maybe even at the tip of your nose or somewhere else.
To metabolize you can close your eyes or keep them open.
And we start with putting the attention on the testicles.
Bring the attention to your lower body.
The testicles represent aliveness and survival,
Reproduction as a human being,
As an entity.
And the reproduction as a species.
It stands for ecstasy and belonging as a human.
To feel loved and woven into the world.
It stands for feeling wanted and needed.
And emotions that can be metabolized are anger and frustration.
Take another deep breath and bring your full attention to your testicles.
And don't try to impress yourself.
Be courageous to show yourself things you usually don't think that much about.
Become aware of your fears,
Your frustrations.
What's your biggest fear?
What's the biggest fear that you have?
Take a moment and deeply reflect upon that.
Be compassionate towards your mind and tell the mind that it's okay to be afraid,
That it's okay to be in fear.
And also that it is just an imagination.
And notice where the fear sits in your body.
Become aware that the thoughts around the fear are imagination.
And this imagination tries to support your survival and your belonging in your community and in a society.
Give the fear space to be there.
Meanwhile also make yourself aware that it is an illusion.
An illusion can be anything that's not happening right in front of your two eyes in this given moment.
But even in your imagined eye,
In your imagined world,
In the mind's eye,
In a world that lives in the past or in the future.
So in other words,
Illusion can be anything that's imagined.
Now let go.
Try to do this with an out-breath.
Let the fear be free.
Fear also has the right to be free.
Imagine how you're not holding on to the fear,
But how you're feeling how you are letting go of it.
And that the fear can choose by itself where it wants to sit.
Play with your imagination.
And look where between yourselves the fear is melting away through your lymph,
Finding a way to be metabolized.
Let the emotional leftovers with a thank you that you have been here.
It's time to move on.
I'm still your friend.
Even if this is a goodbye.
Go and then feel into yourself if something in your inner realm changes.
Let it flow away like a river,
Strong and by itself.
Now we move to the kidneys.
Send your attention to your kidneys very gently.
And they are in the upper part of your berg and on top of your kidneys on the right and the left there are very little glands.
There are no glands.
And they are ambassadors for joy,
Fun,
Even sexuality also.
And they hold the topics of guilt and self blaming.
They live there.
Go deep into yourself.
And be curious where you are feeling your breath most vividly at this moment.
Bring your attention to your stomach.
And then let's go a little bit deeper.
Become aware of what it is that you are blaming yourself for.
What are you blaming yourself the most for?
Take a moment and reflect deeply.
What do you feel guilty for?
Make yourself aware that such things happen in life.
And don't let them cloud your well-being or toxify your mind and soul.
To be a good influencer in the world you should forgive yourself.
Forgive yourself for that and let the rest flow away.
Like from a river.
Through it and by itself.
Now bring your attention to the third of the seven glands that we are going to visit.
In your endocrine system.
And it is the pancreas.
It sits on the upper stomach and it stands for willingness.
And experiences that become stuck are those that carry the emotion of shame.
Bring your attention fully towards your pancreas.
And it stands between your lower chest and almost in the middle of your body.
Center yourself and ask yourself what are you most ashamed of.
What do you feel most shame for?
What are you really most ashamed for?
What are your biggest disappointments from yourself?
Is there something you are so ashamed for that it even moves you thinking about it?
And now check in where this emotion sits in your body.
Where is it anchored?
And also become aware that you can harmonize and balance yourself if you accept this feeling of shame.
You can't deny this experience of shame.
Try to be curious and accept what would happen if you would see shame as a friend.
And make yourself aware that you are worth to metabolize this.
That you are worth to be loved and to belong.
Breathe deeply and let all your disappointments and frustrations go.
Let them flow away like a river,
Steady and by itself.
Let's move to the thymus,
Towards the heart and the stance for the topic of sadness and grief,
Of loss.
Those are experiences that we all share with each other.
But if they aren't metabolized,
Then they are stuck within the system.
And may hold us back from receiving and giving love and even seeing the love that is given to us.
Breathe deeply and if it helps,
Take your right hand and put it upon your heart.
And show yourself open cards here.
This is super important.
What is it that you are grieving for deeply?
What's your biggest grief?
What are you grieving for the most?
Go deeply into that loss and the grief that's hidden behind it.
And make yourself aware that indeed you have had a great loss.
Keep your hand on your heart.
Because when we cry internally or expressively,
We cry for ourselves.
We cry for something that we've loved and we've lost.
But love is a form of energy that lives around us in different forms.
The love from your loss isn't lost.
It's transformed.
It hasn't left you.
It's still in your heart.
Through other experiences,
This love will be freshly newborn.
Breathe deeply to collect all the love.
And exhale to allow the pain to take its own path.
Like a river surrendering to movement,
Flowing by itself.
The next one is the Tyrioid.
Bring your attention towards your neck.
And it stands for truth.
Experiences start to stuck by lies.
The ones that we tell ourselves.
When we lie to ourselves,
We deny the truth of our nature.
Bring the attention to your neck and dig deep.
And look for a moment where love tried to support you in telling the truth.
But where the lie was bigger than the truth.
Where are you still lying towards yourself?
Where would you need more courage?
Where are you still lying towards yourself?
You can't lie about your nature without hurting yourself.
It can be helpful that you accept yourself the way that you are.
Be kind and gentle towards yourself.
Breathe deeply.
And know that it's okay to accept yourself.
And with an out-breath,
Let the lies flow away.
Look at yourself wholly.
Being worth of respect from yourself towards yourself and from yourself towards the world.
You're worthy to belong.
Let's move to the pineal gland,
Also known as the third eye or epiphysis.
And it stands for insight and connection.
It's the home of the intuitive voice.
And it sits like two to three centimeters above your eyebrow.
The middle of the brain.
And energy can be blocked by thoughts that bring us the illusion that we are separate from each other.
The root of every blockage here is the illusion.
And the antidote to it is compassion,
Kindness and insight to let it flow.
Things that we tell ourselves that aren't connected somehow towards us.
Make yourself aware of this connection that you have towards every human on this planet.
Independently of how different our choices might be.
We are common humans.
Even things that we think are totally different from us are one and the same.
A collection of molecules that are expressed individually in their form,
In their action,
In their beauty.
We sit in the same boat.
And in different ones.
And all are sitting on the river of life.
Breathe deeply.
Focus and bring your attention deeper towards your forehead.
Take one hand on the top of your forehead and one on the back.
Bring your attention into your brain.
Let your arms go.
And find the missing love and compassion towards yourself.
You can be compassionate towards others.
And also make yourself aware that you can't deny your nature without losing your integrity and without harming yourselves.
It's good to become aware that your well-being and your work in the world is of high impact and value.
And this will be supported if you have compassion towards yourself.
If you have compassion towards the feelings that you feel.
Breathe deeply.
And be compassionate towards yourself.
Take now your right hand and put it on your chest.
Breathe deeply.
And say towards yourself.
I'm at peace with myself.
I receive myself as I am.
And let the heavy weight of self-unkindness flow away.
Look at yourself with very kind eyes.
Look at yourself as you are clearly.
Let everything else flow away like a river clear and by itself.
And the last and the king of the glance and the endocrine system is the hypophysis.
It stimulates the emotional signals.
It stands for the gift to be aware of one's actions,
Of one's intentions.
It stands for the higher self.
And it sits right on the height of your eyebrow,
A little bit under the pineal gland.
That you can be very well at work.
It's super helpful to ease inner blockages.
And this is a very intimate practice.
And before you keep going,
Ask yourself the following question.
Are you willing and are you able to let go of things that you are holding on tightly?
And if you have a yes,
Then let's jump into it.
If you have a no,
Then this is fully okay.
This can also mean that you experience this practice without needing to let go,
Which is totally fine.
Make yourself aware that the hypophysis is also the pointer to show the vitality of life.
Even the smallest molecule,
The smallest particle has its own life and even though it's woven into the whole universe.
And we humans are indifferent.
Everything in the universe is transformed energy.
This normal fluid stocks within the body.
By holding mentally on ideological thoughts and even holding on physical needs.
Without the flexibility to try something new and different.
And try to be curious to see if there is a difference between experiences in humans that you love and that you give freedom.
And those that you love and that you hold on.
I want to invite you that you recall the first law of thermodynamic.
That energy on earth cannot be destroyed,
But you can transform its form.
Or be moved into another object.
Now breathe deeply.
And check in where is your body feeling most moved right now.
Where are you holding on mostly?
Can you just gently ease this holding on?
And when it comes to letting things go that you love.
Can you just ease the holding on?
And just take a moment and see how does it feel.
When you hold on.
And how does it feel when you let go?
Remember this is an imagined exercise.
So whatever happens in the mind is not happening in the real world.
Become aware of your breath.
Of the space between the in and out breath.
And now be curious what happens in your inner world if you let everything go that holds you onto this world.
And this specifically on the things that hold you back from showing up fully as a human towards yourself,
Towards the community and to the world.
How does it feel to let all those go that hold you back?
And now dig a little deeper.
What are you really holding on?
And with the next deep breath be even a little fancier and ask yourself what am I really really really holding on?
To strengthen the hypothesis it is super beneficial to say yes to letting go.
And it's asked a lot to let go all at once.
I know how hard it can be.
And we do this here together.
So now whatever the next sentence may mean to you do it as it works.
Let everything go that you are tightly holding onto.
Breathe deeply.
Let everything go that you are tightly holding onto.
And with every out breath find how you can let go of the tightness in your body as well,
In your jaw,
In your fingers,
In your chest,
In your shoulders.
Imagine how it is to let go of everything.
Like a river,
Fluid,
Free and by itself.
You've been very courageous.
And bring this energy that you are feeling now within your body into a moment of resting.
You worked a lot now.
You really deserve a break.
I will do the same.
So bring your attention back into the room.
Thank yourself for this practice.
And look around and also give a thank you to everything and everyone that made this practice possible.
And to end this metabolization practice bring the hand on your chest again.
And repeat the following sentences with me.
May I be well.
May I be courageous.
May I be vital.
May I be at peace.
And feel how those wishes expand from your heart towards every cell in your body.
May I love myself as I am.
May I be loved.
May I love.
And feel how those wishes expand to every cell in your body.
May I be wanted.
May I want.
May I desire.
May I be welcome.
May I belong.
May I understand.
May I love.
May I be connected.
May I connect.
May I love.
Thank you for your practice.
I wish you a joyful rest of your day.
