This is a short meditation for when you need a quick reset to re-center, ground and calm your mind and body. Focus is on restoring a sense of peaceful calm within your body through breathing and connection with areas of your physical body where tension and stuck energy are held. This is a meditation for when you need a quick reset.

At any given time,

Something can trigger you and get you off balance or upset.

And it's okay to give yourself permission to step away,

Calm your nervous system so that you can center yourself before reacting or interacting.

It is okay to give yourself a minute or as long as you need to process your emotions,

Thoughts,

And create a safe boundary for yourself while doing this.

Getting comfortable wherever you are,

Relaxing into your chair,

Sinking down,

And if you're lying down,

Just letting go,

Relaxing your body,

Taking a deep breath in,

Sighing it out,

Be turning your head from side to side,

Just slowing down,

Letting go.

Sometimes you just need a minute to re-center,

To calm down,

To settle down,

To release some pressure and let the cycle of thoughts just stop.

For a moment,

Press the reset button,

Breathing in and breathing out.

And now I just want you to focus on your breath.

When you breathe in and as the air travels through your body,

Just notice if you can feel it getting stuck anywhere.

And if so,

Just become aware of where that is in your body and keep breathing.

Where is it hard to breathe?

Is there tension in your abdomen?

I want you to put your attention there and breathe into that space,

Filling up your belly with air and sending peaceful,

Calm,

Compassionate energy.

And then breathe out,

Releasing any stress,

Just letting it go.

Is there any tension in your chest?

I want you to put your attention there and breathe into that space,

Filling up your chest with air and sending peaceful,

Calm,

Compassionate energy.

Breathing out,

Releasing any stress,

Just letting it go.

Is there any tension in your throat?

I want you to put your attention there and breathe into that space,

Filling up your throat with air and sending peaceful,

Calm,

Compassionate energy.

Breathing out,

Releasing any stress,

Just letting it go.

Soothing yourself,

Calming yourself,

Slowing down.

Sometimes all we need to do in a moment of distress is to just slow everything down.

Sometimes all we need to do in a moment of distress is to just slow everything down,

To see where we are holding it in our body and letting our body know we are present,

Supportive,

And listening.

And then acknowledge the tension and let it go.

And in that way,

We can begin again.

So take one more deep breath,

Hold it,

And then release any stress you are still holding onto,

Just letting it go.

You can stay here as long as you like,

Breathing into any other spaces in your body that need your attention.

Or,

If you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

Imagine a powerful golden light surrounding your whole body,

Creating a layer of protection around you.

You are ready to begin again.

May you go and be with peace.

So nice. No pressure of breathing any certain way. Just breathing into the my stomach which felt discomfort. Not judging myself and just showing up. Thank you for helping me feel a little better today. 🫶🏻
