Transcript
Hi everyone,
My name is Paloma Iris and I am doing a reading on March 15,
2021.
I have my five tarot cards in front of me.
I pulled five cards from my deck.
I have a rainbow candle burning.
It is a bright day in cold Boulder,
Colorado.
The snow is melting,
Dripping off the trees.
The icicles are dripping water droplets into small puddles.
The ground is slowly thawing in the sun as mountains collect over the clouds.
I see in the past the hermit reversed,
Which reminds me of work that I've done in my past to uncover truths,
Feelings,
And emotions about my past self,
My past life,
Trauma and pain,
Suffering and heartache that I felt in the past in effort to heal,
To grow,
To feel again.
That self illumination,
That self analysis,
That self introspection that I feel I have done in the past is reversed in this setting,
Which reminds me of the need for going upside down and falling within myself so that I may dive into the depth of my own consciousness,
My own understanding in my own creativity.
In the past,
I have created,
Written scenes and episodes of scripts that inspire me and are inspired by events of my own life.
And that practice of looking back and shining a light on shadowed feelings or shadowed circumstance,
Shadowed memories,
So to speak,
Is reversed,
Which,
Like I said,
Communicates again the importance of that turning towards our past to learn about ourselves so as to be more healed and more capable in our future endeavors.
As I look towards the future,
I see the present card with justice in place now as I have done this spread with an intention to gain insight into my field of work,
My attraction of work,
Finding opportunities to share my art and my creativity through artistic outlets,
Through outlets that uplift and celebrate and empower me as an artist and as a creator.
I see justice standing or sitting with her scales and her sword.
There's also an owl in this card,
Which reminds me of the wisdom and intuition of listening to the rhythm of the universe as this justice card presents a femininity that values balance.
I see the necessary movement of seasons,
A time for winter as necessary for a time for summer,
A time for fall and dying as necessary for a time of spring and awakening.
And this shift and comfort in different times for different seasons of our lives,
I see myself with the drive to set aside time in my life to create,
To set aside time in my life to meditate,
To set aside and my life to pray,
To set aside time in my life to feel pleasure,
To set aside time in my life to work and to use those creations,
To use those prayers,
To use those meditations,
And to use those pleasures to inform my work,
To empower and uplift my work to sustain my work so that I can continue making and creating and inspiring and being inspired and growing and living and understanding and discovering.
And this practice of being in communication with myself and my past self with myself and my future self allows me to be perceptive to the stimulation and sensation of my environment,
Of my surroundings,
Of the relationships around me,
Of the stimulus through nature around me,
Of the communication of spirit in all that is alive with me.
As I see that divine communion shining so brightly,
I look towards the center of this card or the heart of this card and see the Knight of Wands.
The Knight of Wands reminds me on the note of creativity to drive forward happy and joyful and proud of my voice,
Of the talents and gifts and abilities and creativities that I own within my own self,
That I am unique in,
That I have a specific voice to share my story and my truth.
This Knight of Wands is lunging forward on their horse that is propelled in mid-air,
Not a single leg of this horse is on the ground because they are moving so fast and so dynamically into the future towards the viewer of the card.
This rider,
The Knight,
Is holding out their staff as they are proud of their tools.
They are proud of their work that they have invested in themselves to get to this point.
As the Knight of Wands presents an evolution from the Page of Wands to the Knight of Wands to the Queen of Wands to the King of Wands,
There's a natural evolution in excelling or a growth towards passion,
Towards accomplishment,
Towards creation,
Towards inspiration,
Towards illumination.
As I see fire mostly associated with these Knight of Wands cards,
With these Suit of Wands cards to extend it to that fourth of the tarot or fifth of the tarot.
Of course,
There are the first major arcana which are the first 21 cards of the tarot and the remaining 78 are split between the four Suits of Wands like we have with this Knight of Wands,
Cups,
Swords,
And Pentacles.
Just a small bit of tarot knowledge and insight,
But with this Knight of Wands card,
I am reminded of at the heart of this matter,
At the heart of my decision to set aside time for myself coming off of that Justice card with the decision to set aside time for me to be creative,
Time for me to meditate,
Time for me to pray,
Time for me to feel pleasure,
Time for me to work.
I see a drive and ambition and passion towards creating and towards sharing my uniqueness that I am so assured that God,
The universe,
Mother Earth has blessed me with because if we are to believe that we are a reflection of God or we carry their image,
God,
The universe,
We carry stardust inside of ourselves,
We are composed of the same elements that stars,
Galaxies away are made out of through this earth,
We are present and alive as descendants of those that have come before us and if we are to see that power as inherited or if we are to see that power as reflected or woven into our beings,
We can see ourselves as divine creators ourselves.
We are able to create,
We are able to change,
We are able to make what we set our minds to,
We are able to manifest and that is a creative process that is a developing and changing and evolving process that I'm reminded by as I look at this snow melting,
The transformation alone of the water moving from the clouds above so fluffy and airy to the ice below so solid and hard to the water in between dripping and most likely ice cold.
I haven't personally set my hands on the dripping ice clothes,
I'm okay right now but being warmed by the sun,
This fire coming in,
Interacting with the water that came from the air that is sitting now on the earth,
This reunion between all of these elements reminds me of the presence of spirit in everything that is alive and everything that is alive in us as I look towards that insight and think about the inspiration and power that we have to be connected to all of our elements and our spirit alive in all of them.
I see the three of swords which to me is a card about love that hurts so good,
Love that displays a heart in this card with three swords pierced through the heart.
Doves are descending into the background and there are birds and butterflies decorating the perimeter.
The clouds deepen and expand as the three of swords reminds me of a divine love,
Of a trinity of love whether it be the sun,
The moon,
And the stars,
The father,
The sun,
The holy spirit,
The divine feminine,
The divine masculine,
And then the divine being independent of gender.
There are so many reinforcements of our spirit in so many incarnations of self whether this be the mind,
The body,
The spirit,
Or the mind,
Body,
The heart.
I see this as a manifestation of love in all of its forms,
In all of its extensions,
In all of its expressions,
And as I look into this reading I set out at the beginning of this reading to welcome an insight and intention into my love,
Specifically my love,
And as I see this heart so clearly speaking to love in these cards at this insight placement or at this advice placement,
This fourth placement of the five card reading,
I see the three of swords reminding me of that regenerative power of love that even with these three plunged swords in this heart,
This heart lives on.
This heart is displayed as if a stained glass window.
This image is as if this card is a stained glass window in a church and while there is no iconography of any specific religious figures,
There are images of nature,
There are images of clouds,
There are images of beings and of creatures of flight which I think about the sign of air when I think about the swords and I think about the powers of our words and our speech and our breath and our mind and our clarity that we can see.
The three of swords has a lot to do with the head and the cerebral.
With this three of swords card in this insight placement,
In this advice placement,
I am reminded that while going back into our catalogs,
Going back into our memories,
Going back into the pains or pasts that have caused us pain,
That have felt like knives in our heart,
While that does feel like reliving that trauma or being present again for that pain,
I genuinely feel that this three of swords is telling us to speak on that,
To speak on that truth,
To share that story,
To put words to that experience,
To express it in as many dimensions and as forms as you are willing to take because it is worth it.
That story,
That note of survival,
That memory of resilience carries power because it is a testament to your own ability to power through tribulation,
To move through suffering,
To heal and move on from trials and from heartbreak and from pain and that is a story of strength.
With this three of swords as depicted so as to resemble a stained glass window,
I'm thinking about the stories that we tell in our religions,
In our spiritualities,
In our practices that we tell to our family,
To our friends,
To our loved ones,
To our community to pass on,
To pass down the legacy of those that have come before us,
To pass down the memory of our ancestors that have come before us,
To pass down the love for our family that has come before us and if we are to extend that lesson from that interpersonal relationship with the personal relationships we have with our past selves,
With our future selves and with our present self,
I see this three of swords as an extra push to look to that hermit at the beginning of this reading and to see the power of going with inside of ourselves,
Of uncovering hard truths,
Of putting light to dark experiences and sharing those stories,
Sharing those memories,
Sharing those feelings out to the world whether it be through writing,
Whether it be through speaking,
Whether it be through art making,
Whether it be through creating,
Whether it be through expressing,
Whether it be through crying,
Dancing,
Living,
However this creative expression might manifest,
This three of swords is telling us to share those experiences because they will carry the legacy of resilience,
They will carry the story of strength,
They will carry the empowerment in their forms for others and audiences in across this world to carry with them,
To be empowered by themselves,
To use as a window so to speak as this looks like a stained glass window to see into their own selves,
Into their own powers,
Into their own past and sufferings and see the resilience that they themselves have survived and have moved forward from and have gained as a testament to their power to evolve and change and grow.
In this last position I see the seven of pentacles in the future.
This seven of pentacles card has much to do with finance,
With investment,
With material and physical.
I see this character in this card admiring one expanse and stretch of land quite abundant and full while neglecting a expanse of land that has just been cut,
That has not been planted in,
That is practically empty and vast.
This seven of pentacles card with this person's focus on the six pentacles on the one side,
On the left side of the card,
Reminds me that there is profit and there is benefit in looking at the unknown and looking at the depths and looking at the unexplored and looking at the undiscovered because in what we learn,
In what we experience,
In what we feel when we go into those worlds,
When we go into those depths with inside of ourselves in our own introspection,
In our own shadow work is riches,
Is our own powers,
Is our own stories of how we survived trauma,
Of how we grew out of places in our lives that were not favorable to us,
Of how we evolved past situations and people,
Our relationships,
Our binds that prohibited our growth and prohibited the authenticity and honesty that we were able to practice with ourselves.
So as I see the seven of pentacles here as a promise of prosperity and fortitude and abundance,
I am reminded to continue to do that self-work,
To take a note from my creative past self and to look into my past experiences as they are gold,
As they are shining,
As these cards are brilliant in their depiction of the pentacles shining,
Glimmering,
Glowing.
These golden disks are floating above these fields and these crops and these symbols are here to communicate the prosperity and the wealth that we can tangibly create and physically make by putting pen to paper,
By taking to a laptop,
By creating digitally,
Tactically,
By moving our bodies in ways that allow us to express in creative forms whether that be through dance,
Through singing,
Through acting,
Through expression,
Through whatever form it takes in you.
I am seeing that the seven of pentacles is reminding us to learn from our past suffering and to use what has hurt us as our kryptonite,
As our power,
As our ability,
Oh not as our kryptonite,
I'm sorry I'm not that well versed in the Superman universe,
But to use what didn't kill us to make us stronger.
To reference the incomparable Kelly Clarkson,
Look towards those past,
Those hard times,
Those memories from a self less advanced or less evolved than you are now and see where you are now and use that communication between those two selves as your script,
As your document,
As your divine contract to bring in abundance,
To bring in acclaim,
To bring in the power of the game,
To bring in response,
To bring in healing for yourself and for others.
Share that work,
Share those words,
Share those stories so that your influence,
Your power,
And your presence may be carried through others in their experience of the peace you have with your work,
The peace you have with publicizing your work,
The peace you have with sharing your work with friends,
With family,
With community.
