Welcome.
This is Padma Gordon.
And today I'd like to offer you a meditation on staying steady.
Because we are in such a period in our world,
Chaotic,
Tumultuous,
Unsteady at best.
So what I'm finding is that it is so helpful to drop down inside and really reside in steadiness.
In steadiness of what doesn't come and go.
So today I offer you this meditation on staying steady.
Take a moment and allow yourself to get really comfortable.
Take some breaths.
And perhaps you can notice how each breath takes you inside.
And how you can trust your breath.
And as you discover this internal steadiness,
You can relax.
Your body can relax.
Your nervous system can relax.
And these times,
This period in history is a test.
We are all being tested.
And I invite you to drop down into this infinite spaciousness inside.
And as you do,
You can welcome all of the parts of you that are not feeling so steady.
Welcoming them into this embrace of the space of divine steadiness.
You might notice that as you drop in and down,
You begin to relax.
Steadyness is a resource.
And it's essential to be resourced during these wild times,
These times that are much like surfing.
One tsunami wave after the next.
And find your feet.
Find your seat,
Dear friend.
The seat of steadiness.
You can relax.
You can relax.
You can relax.
You can relax.
You can relax.
The seat of steadiness.
And perhaps you can sense as you drop in,
As you let go of your worldly concerns,
Concerns about illness,
Politics,
How things are inside out and upside down.
You can surrender into that infinite well,
That which does not come and go,
That which does not come and go and is not subject to the ups and downs of your life or of what is transpiring on the world stage.
So take this time,
Dear one.
Take this time and rest.
Sense the deep steadiness.
This steadiness that resides within you,
Within me,
In us all.
And here we are together,
Resting,
Being nourished.
This place of inner steadiness is trustworthy.
And so as we do this practice,
We are learning to trust what doesn't come and go more than the tricks and traps of the mind.
So just take a little while and go inside.
I am here with you,
Staying steady.
So trust.
Trust,
My friends,
Trust.
Trust.
You are not alone.
We are here together as one,
One heart,
One ocean of infinite love,
Pulsating,
Steady,
Trustworthy.
So so Taking a breath and receiving even deeper.
Breathing into your nature,
Your essential nature,
Steady,
Trustworthy.
And even after this meditation is complete,
It lives in you,
In me,
In one and all.
So as you gently bring yourself back to the room you're in,
You can sense how it lives in you.
And as you open the eyes and return,
Let everything drop deeper.
And you are invited to return to this practice again and again,
Because as you do,
Everything will deepen and you will find that from here on out you will be ever more steady and able to respond to whatever shows up in your life and in the world.
And perhaps you can smile knowing that many others are practicing with you.
Thank you for practicing today.
