Hello,

It's Natalie here.

I want to invite you now to take part in this beautiful meditation practice of letting go.

Now,

If you are new to meditation,

I want you to come into this practice with an open mind and a sense of curiosity about what it means to not only let go and immerse yourself in that experience of letting go,

But also through starting to connect your mind,

Your body to your breath.

So follow along with my guide as I take you through the meditation.

Allow yourself the opportunity to feel into my words and particularly as I talk through the beautiful She Let Go poem,

I want you to just allow yourself to let go.

So as I said,

The purpose of this practice is giving you the focus around letting go.

But most importantly,

The intention of this meditation practice is helping you acknowledge that we have to be our own best friend.

We have to be our own best friend as we create and live our best life,

As we pursue our life,

Our career,

Our health goals.

And of course,

Most importantly,

We need to be our own best friend when we simply just want to allow ourselves to rest and rest unapologetically without judgment,

But rather with a sense of compassion and kindness towards ourselves.

You probably spend so much of your day busy jumping from one thing to the next that you never give yourself the opportunity to stop and be with your thoughts,

Your feelings,

And really what is going on for you within your world,

Within your body,

And within your mind.

I want you to liken the practice of letting go to that moment when you hop into bed.

You allow yourself the opportunity and you give yourself permission to rest.

You allow yourself to surrender to the stillness of the darkness,

To the quiet of your mind and body as you rest after a busy day.

But when you wake in the morning,

You probably open your eyes to resume the cloak that you removed the evening before.

You possibly resume your to-do list,

You juggle your roles,

And you return to a state of doing once more.

It truly is amazing what happens when you give yourself permission to let go of the shoulds,

The stresses,

The juggle,

And you simply let you be.

I'm going to take you through a beautiful poem which is titled She Let Go.

But before I take you through the poem,

I want you to close down your eyes and allow yourself to simply be here in this moment.

Connecting to your breath,

Allowing your mind and body to simply stop.

Gently bring your awareness to your breath.

Allow yourself to follow the in-breath.

And then at the same time,

Bring your attention to the out-breath.

I invite you to start to deepen that breath.

And as you're breathing,

Really breathing into your belly,

Allowing your belly to expand,

Allowing your chest to feel with that glorious air.

And then as you breathe out,

Letting that breath come out with a sigh.

It's important to note that if you are new to meditation,

Your mind will naturally wander.

And I want you,

When you notice that your mind has wandered,

To just gently bring your attention back to your breath,

Back to your anchor.

Allowing your breath now to return to its natural rhythm.

Now I want you to bring your attention to a situation that you are juggling right now.

It might be playing on your mind.

It might be causing you some stress.

Well,

There might be a sense of unease or uncomfortableness around it.

Can you connect to the feelings of this situation that's manifested within you?

It's only in the moments of stillness can we truly connect to the sensations and feelings in the body.

How is this making you feel?

Where in the body are you feeling the emotion most?

With each breath that you take,

I want you to connect even more deeper to these emotions.

Connecting to these sensations in the body.

And perhaps as you connect to this emotion,

Maybe it starts to trigger some new emotions.

Maybe as you are breathing into the sensations in the body,

It's allowing your perception of the situation to shift also.

Perhaps as you reflect on this moment,

This feeling,

Maybe it's not as comfortable.

Maybe it's not as uncomfortable or as stressful as you think it is.

Now I want you to take the deepest breath you've taken all day.

So again,

Breathing in through the nose,

Feeling your belly and your chest.

And then as you breathe out,

I want you to just let these feelings go.

Let these feelings come out with your out breath through the mouth with an audible sigh.

If you feel like you need to do that again,

Please do.

This is your practice.

And I want you to start to cultivate that sense of awareness around what you need.

When you're ready,

Gently bring in your breath back to its natural rhythm and giving yourself permission to relax here in this moment.

As I talk through this beautiful poem,

I want you to let the words wash over you.

And if at any time you notice that again,

Your mind has wandered,

Gently bring your attention back to the sound of my voice.

As I read through this poem,

Keeping in your mind that you are safe in this moment.

You are free to give yourself this time to let go and to be with the stillness within your body and your mind.

She Let Go.

Written by Sapphire Rose.

Without a thought or a word,

She let go.

She let go of the fear.

She let go of the judgments.

She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.

She let go of the committee of indecision within her.

She let go of all the right reasons,

Wholly and completely,

Without hesitation or worry.

She just let go.

She didn't ask for advice.

She didn't read a book on how to let go.

She didn't search the scriptures.

She just let go.

She let go of all the memories that held her back.

She let go of all the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.

She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.

She didn't promise to let go.

She didn't journal about it.

She didn't write the projected date in her day timer.

She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.

She didn't check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.

She just let go.

She didn't analyse whether she should let go.

She didn't call her friends to discuss the matter.

She didn't do a five step spiritual mind treatment.

She didn't call the prayer line.

She didn't utter one word.

She just let go.

No one was around when it happened.

There was no applause or congratulations.

No one thanked her or praised her.

No one noticed a thing.

Like a leaf falling from a tree,

She just let go.

There was no effort.

There was no struggle.

It wasn't good and it wasn't bad.

It was what it was and it is just that.

In the space of letting go,

She let it all be.

A small smile came over her face.

A light breeze blew through her hair.

The sun and the moon shone forevermore.

I'll give you a moment to allow the words you've heard to immerse them within your being.

Connecting to that journey of letting go.

That feeling of the leaf falling from the tree.

Connecting with the idea that even when you let go,

The sun and the moon will continue to shine forevermore.

Starting to bring your attention back to the now.

Perhaps bringing some gentle movement to the body.

Wriggling your fingers.

Moving your toes.

I'll invite you when you're ready to open your eyes.

Bring your attention back to where you are right now.

Namaste.
