Take a moment to breathe deeply and relax in this Love Language based guided meditation. I have taken a softer approach with this meditation, helping us to get to know one another to ultimately help you relax easier! Hello and thank you for joining me for today's practice.

Izzy has left us but she has left remains of her toys so hopefully that actually won't interrupt us for today's practice.

So if you want to find your comfortable position wherever you are,

I want to do something a little bit different this time.

I want to look into love languages and trying to find our love language.

So yes just find your comfortable position whether you lay down,

Whether you prefer to sit seated or whether you prefer to sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor.

Just remembering to be active if the mind begins to wander just bring it back to breath.

If your energy starts to lessen and you start to fall asleep focus on the upper part of the body,

Focus on the breath coming in,

Focus on the crown of the head and equally if you're feeling too alert,

The mind's too distracted,

Try and focus on grounding down the lower part of the body,

Breathing into the belly,

Focusing on that ground of the earth underneath you.

So focus on that grounding feeling.

So when you're ready just taking that gaze down or closing off the eyes,

Finding a focal point if you can,

Just noticing the stillness within your body,

Noticing how the body feels,

Notice the clothes upon your skin if there's a breeze,

Noticing any distractions,

Notice if you can feel the sun upon your skin,

Noticing how you feel inside,

Just taking a deep breath to start with,

Inhaling deeply,

Exhale completely,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhaling,

Exhale,

Inhaling deeply,

Exhaling completely,

Focusing on that rise on the inhale,

Feeling your stomach,

Ribs and chest rise and focusing on that fall on the exhale,

Feeling your chest,

Your ribs and your belly fall,

Inhale deeply,

Exhale completely,

Making any movements you may need,

Allowing your body to rest,

Allowing your mind to wander now,

Bring that breath to a natural deep relaxed rhythm,

Just allowing the mind to get distracted,

Noticing a distraction in your room,

Noticing a thought or a feeling,

Just allowing it to get distracted,

Allowing it to pull you and then just when you're ready bringing it back,

Bringing it back to that focus of the breath as you breathe deeply in through the lungs,

Out through the lungs,

Allowing them to fill and fall,

Allowing them to rise gently on that inhale,

Allowing them to fall gently on the exhale and then bringing your awareness back to the breath,

Focusing on that,

Allowing the mind to just settle,

Allowing it to notice the stillness,

The rhythm,

The stillness of the body,

The rhythm of the breath and what I'd like you to do is think upon love languages.

If you're not sure what love languages are,

They are how we speak and how we show our love and how we like to receive our love.

Maybe you know your love language or maybe you don't.

I'm not going to quiz you,

I'm not going to create something yet but I want you to think about that.

I want you to think about your relationships with your partner,

With your family,

With your friends or with your children.

I want you to think about how you communicate with them and how do you like them to communicate with you.

Are you a physical person?

Do you want them to give you hugs?

Do you want them to do physical activity with you?

Do you want them to physically show they care about you?

Do you want to show them physically you care about them?

Or are you more about spending quality time with them?

Would you prefer to sit down with a meal and be with them?

Maybe you are an acts of service type of person.

Maybe you prefer to show them you love them by doing lots of things and maybe you want them to do lots of things because that's how you show your love.

Just looking into that,

Observing your love languages,

Maybe you want them to express their love verbally.

Thinking upon that,

Thinking upon the types of love languages and how you express your love.

Taking a moment to think and understand yourself a little bit deeper.

What I'd like you to do is open yourself up to understanding not everyone communicates in the same way.

The way I express my love is through acts of service.

I'm giving you this gift of meditation.

I'm giving you this awareness.

I'm showing my love,

My passion by giving it to you and spreading that knowledge,

That wisdom,

That piece of knowledge to you in hope that you can learn from this and take this out into your life.

So just taking a deep inhale here,

Focusing on the crown of the head,

Focusing on where that knowledge is stored and just accepting and being open to knowing that we communicate differently and focusing on that communication chakra,

The throat chakra,

Where we speak our truth.

Sometimes we speak words that we don't mean because we might not be receiving the love language we think we deserve or we think we should be receiving.

We might not be open to the way they're communicating.

We might not see the acts of service because we want to spend time with them.

We might not see their physical love because they say it.

Just thinking upon this and allowing yourself to be open and think about your relationships and not putting ourselves down for not noticing by accepting that we have this knowledge now.

We are able to open ourselves and see their love a little bit more.

So take a deep inhale with me,

Exhale completely.

Inhaling really deeply with control,

In through the nose.

With control,

Inhale.

Exhale out through the mouth with control,

Inhale.

Exhale with control,

Inhale.

Exhale with control.

Just maybe taking a shoulder roll,

Finding some movement slowly into the body.

Allowing the body to be open,

Allowing the mind to be open,

Allowing us to communicate through our throat chakra,

Allowing our hearts to be open to receiving love in all the different languages there are.

I invite you to do a little bit more into this and if you'd like to work on this with me or you'd like to do a little bit more and you're interested in this style of practice and personalities then please let me know.

Begin to wiggle your fingers as you find that movement,

Lifting the gaze when you're ready,

Bringing your hands together at heart center.
